After getting frustrated by the customer service at CVS, Southbury, I switched few of RX's to Walgreens Southbury and was happy for first 2 months and then I don't know what happened, employee turnover / new manager or what.....this Pharmacy's customer service has gotten so bad. Actually now worse then what CVS was. At pickup window, you can expect to wait at the window for 10 -15 minutes even before being acknowledged by anyone. It said to call the pharmacy for 2 Rx's and I am on hold right now for 18 minutes and counting......

If there were no stars there would be none here! I am in the line of cars that goes back to the road, with numbers seven, seven freaking cars. And look inside the store on my way through, packed also. When Woodbury drug and the other drug store in Woodbury folded, they just sent us here to Walgreens in Southbury .1–

I agree with the other reviewer if I could give a zero I would!!! It should be illegal the way this healthcare facility is operated. No one picks up the phone. Ever. When they do on the rare occurrence no one wants to do a job. Not 'their' job ... NO JOBS. They tell YOU to do their job by calling your doctor/insurance and after you do they still tell you "I don't know." Wtf?! Everytime I go to the pharmacy there's 5-6 people working. Way more than the other pharmacies. I am switching pharmacies even though it's therapeutically better to have all your meds at one place so interactions can be checked more effectively!! Will definitely be reporting this place to DCP

Called pharmacy at 9am recording 3 calls ahead of u. 1 hour later 3 calls still ahead of me. Hung up called at 12 noon same recording what a joke

Something is very wrong at this Walgreens Pharmacy. It started back in October 2023 when they purchased out Woodbury Drug and Reliant Pharmacy customers. All of a sudden Walgreen's pharmacy can't handle anything. If your doctor sends over an RX it won't be ready for 48 hours.Forget emergency meds such as antibiotics, you will wait for them. If you try to phone them, you will be on hold for at least 30 minutes, the recording will say over and over that there are 3 people ahead of you. Their online area for the pharmacy is messed up too, I can't get my profile to show my list of meds or if anything is waiting for me. Calling to get it resolved twice was worthless.The drive-through is a joke, nothing is ever ready and you are told to come back in 30 minutes, you get there in 45 minutes and they say they need 10 more minutes. ONE BIG MESS AT THIS PLACE!Had to go to Urgent Care in Southbury and told them to send the RX to CVS as I knew it wouldn't be ready if sent to Walgreens. I received a text from CVS in about 5 minutes to tell me my RX was in progress and the exact time it would be ready. It asked if I needed it sooner, I clicked yes, and it was ready in about 15 minutes to be picked up.Routine meds that you can call in several days ahead of time for a refill are OK at Walgreens. But any new RX or something you need on time never is. Wish we had a new independent drugstore in our area. Walgreens management needs to know what is going on at this Southbury store.

They used to be good. Dont know what is happening there. The line at the drive through and inside is insanely long. I am currently waiting for 2 days for a prescription they don't even have to make. Time to change pharmacies.

If I could give a pharmacy 0 stars i absolutely would. Pharmacist that was working at 6:30pm on Monday 1/22/2024 was extremely rude and bitter. I got new insurance which seemed to piss her off off the bat and I could not pick up my prescription without prior authorization from my doctor due to the new insurance. She was incredibly rude about this and seemed annoyed i was even there. Not to mention this could have all been avoided if I had gotten a notification that something was wrong with my prescription or that it was not ready to pick up. There was 0 indication that I would have any issue picking it up tonight and they completely wasted my time AND were extremely rude about it AS IF I should have just known that was the case. I wish I told that pharmacist up yours. It's the end of the day on a Monday not just for you ma'am. Sorry you're too bitter and miserable to do your job but try not to take it out on the customers just trying to get their medication. To be clear it was the older woman not the younger one who seemed nice.

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. Nearly every time I have been you wait in line for 30 minutes just to be told that the prescription isn't ready, and it will be another 30 minutes. I'd understand the wait if it was a new prescription drop off but I have experienced this with refills and partial prescription's owed to me. The staff is incredibly unpleasant! Worst customer service I've ever seen. They should be ashamed of themselves, especially since they serve such an elderly demographic.

Can not get anyone in the pharmacy to pick p the phone after being on hold an hour. Then called the store and they transferred me direct and still no one picks up the phone. This has been going on for weeks. Time to change stores.

The pharmacy is understaffed and the customers are suffering. On 12/19/23 I tried to call for the 3rd time to check on a prescription that they can't seem to find the Dr authorization (mind you I have called my Dr and they sent it). A man finally answered the phone and said "We are busy you can stay on hold or call back later". He didn't let me speak put me on hold. I waited then the phone started ringing and ringing then someone hung up on me. Now it's the next day and I can't get anyone to answer the phone and it's 3:47pm. I have no medication because they can't find the authorization for my refills and no one will call each other. Getting a Dr. Authorization for a refill is a nightmare at this location. Walgreens needs to increase the staff in the pharmacy.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy in Southbury. DO NOT automatically find the lowest prices for your RX as ALL the other pharmacies in Southbury do. Entire staff is apathetic to your needs or concerns. NEVER answer the phone inquiries. I can go on and on. I wouldn't use them if they weren't a preferred pharmacy on our insurance. What a joke!
