Often has some good things but prices seem high. Very picky about donations and not very gracious about it. Safe Haven is a very worthy charity. I'd support their thrift shop more if the people there were nicer to deal with.

We have patronized this nonprofit thrift shop for decades and have gotten a number of nice things there, usually fairly priced but rarely particular bargains. But decent quality. We've also donated many, many things over the years, and that is not always easy, as they are overly picky and will reject high quality items other dealers love. So one must visit a second thrift shop to complete one's donations. We therefore much prefer the thrift shop at Southbury Training School for donations. The fairly new and quite excellent Goodwill in nearby Oxford is also a very good option for donations. All three are for good charitable purposes.

Straddles the merchandising boundary between thrift and antique store. Most space is given to really nice furniture, so if you're frustrated with either end of the used-furniture spectrum, this may be your happy medium. Selection of other items feels "curated," so it's A+ for cute unusual finds, not a great source for boring household necessities. Everything is beautifully arranged, store smells good, and staff is super-nice. Pricing on items I checked was about what I expected for level of quality. If you want to take thrifting a friend who dislikes the clamor of ordinary thrifts, this is the store! It's in a cute little New England village-style complex with other stores, including Leo's Restaurant.

Lovely little thrift store. Very clean and well organized into discreet sections with rotating sales. Not a huge inventory though!

We had the pleasure of donating a few furniture pieces of my fathers's recently, and the ladies at Safe Haven were so gracious and helpful. Thanks again!

Adorable place with adorable people working there. But over priced. If you are purchasing used clothes and let's face it they are used donated clothes not all in the best of shape. I don't understand why you wouldn't Lower your prices. you would make so much more money on those donated items.

Lovely, well organized thrift store with pretty much everything under the sun in it! Be sure to check out the other stores on the square too, and come early on the weekends as the shops close between 4-4:30
