Genesis does not know what cashing a check is, I asked her to do specific thing with the check, she messed that up then said the manager would fix it which the manager then said was not possible… very unprofessional and bank tellers should be trained when touching people’s money.
Good thing this isn’t my main bank

I have been banking for 40 years with various banks for personal and business needs. I have found it more and more frustrating and less personable. Lucy and Jillian from the Southbury branch went above and beyond to help me with a multitude of needs. I have been so very impressed with their knowledge and excellent service. It has truly been a pleasure thanks to them.

Rudest customer service reps when call 800 number, doesn't show real time deductions when use card. Need peoples bank back don't know how they took over people's bank when they're the worst bank possible.15 years with peoples bank never had 1 issue now peoples is gone they lost a bunch of customers with horrible service.

my elderly parents had been the victims of fraud. thousands of dollars stolen by a criminal. peoples bank treated my parents like criminals especially from the fraud department. They delayed the process and communication was horrible. They delayed it to the point where they were only going to cover a small percentage of the thousands that were stolen. They stated it was policy to only cover fraud within 60 days!! This person was stealing for months and months. And now the bank wont cover the fraud? Isnt that what they are insured for? Taking advantage of the elderly by a criminal and not to have the bank there when needed is a crime too!!!!!!! Shame on you Peoples Bank!!!!

They are usually pretty good about service and assisting with problems but I deposited a check for close to $500 on friday and first they put it into the wrong account so it wasnt even being directed to my account. I called and they fixed it and told me it would be in my account first thing the next day. The next day came and it was 2 o clock and still no money so I called again only to be told to leave my number snd they would get back to me shortly. An hour and a half came and went and no call back so I called again. They told me the same thing except that they already had my number and would call me back. Another hour came and went and they closed without calling me back or giving me my money. Its now going on three days of playing phone tag and I still have no money and they are closed today. Be wary.

I hate this bank. it is the absolute worst I put my money in it and I do not understand how to get it out. my life savings are in that stupid building. The fees are insanity and I am going out of my mind because they did not even have lollipops for my tots. I would definitely recommend this bank to a friend, if I hated them. 1/5

This People's United Bank is located inside Stop and Shop. I work right next to this location and I've always been pleased with their service. The employees are friendly and quick with transactions. I will continue to do my banking with them!
