Do yourself a favor, DO NOT rent from this company. My company rented a tilt equipment trailer on 5/27/22 to move a forklift and when I went to pick it up it was not even present at this location. It was located at their Southington location. I was asked if I wanted to go pick it up there. I said absolutely not and attempted to make other arrangements. During this time one of the service desk reps confirmed they would have it brought back up to East Hartford. I came back to pick it up over an hour later and was shocked at the condition of this trailer. It was in horrible disrepair! It shouldn't have been released to anyone. It had an oil soaked deck and the frame was consumed by rust. With no other option for completing the job, I reluctantly took it anyway. Later that day I attempted to load the lift onto the trailer and it broke right through a deck board that clearly had dry rot. I was well within payload specifications. They were closed at this point and could not be contacted until the following business day when it was due back. At that time, I made them aware of the situation and indicated the trailer was not even used due to failure from faulty components. I was told the manager chose to charge me for the rental anyway. I asked for them to return my call and they chose to ignore that request. Now you folks can deal with the bank. What a shame that Superior wants to burn another business owner and their own reputation over $100! If you continue operating this way then you won't be in business.

They never showed up with equipment and lied when we ask where our machine was. We rented this machine to do a septic system at our house and this company never delivered the machine, never called and it was like pulling teeth to get them to just cancel the order they never even delivered. Totally un-professional and cost us money and time, no apology, no attempt at making it right..NOTHING...be aware they DONT CARE..

The absolutely have the wost customer service in the business. There salesman lied to me and the sarcastic account payable people thay have will lie, cheat and steal. Do not trust anything thay say. I had a reantal machine that broke down on the job and thay took it apart did not send a capable person to fix it sat for to weeks in the middle of my job. Go to target enterprises thay know how to treat customers. Not one person has reach out to try and fix there lack of customer service. again they proved what liars they are I can show you $14000 I pay them this fall

I had an even this past Monday June 24th 2019 where I paid for a rental way in advanced and I NEVER got it delivered (which was in their own town BTW). Never got a phone call confirming days in advanced like other companies do, never got a phone call to at least give me the common courtesy to tell me they weren't going to come through with their commitment NOTHING!! This was a very disappointing experience and I will never do business with this company again. Also when I called no one could tell me why they didn't deliver on their commitment this was VERY frustrating all around.

Also when I called no one could tell me why they didn't deliver on their commitment this was VERY frustrating all around. The kicker is that if I didn't call they would have kept my money without providing any type of service, never mind the fact that I was OVERCHARGED $150.00 more than my original quote. So not only did they overcharge but they never delivered. Overall VERY BAD EXPERIENCE and I would think twice if I where you about ever renting ANYTHING from this firm. The only reason I'm giving a 1 star review is because I cant leave a ZERO star review and at least they refunded me my funds without a problem. Hopefully this helps you in your decision. Have a blessed day.

I shan't be renting from Superior Northeast again because they didn't fulfill their part of the contract. The part where the tool I'm renting actually works. My first and only rental from Superior was a Powermate M-1 stair climber for $138 a day. I rented it to remove a boiler, cast iron water tank, water heater and concrete sink from my basement. The M-1 is a glorified dolly with a battery powered motor to lift the load. It raises the wheels up the next step while the load rests on the step beneath, pitched slightly forward. It weighs 165 lbs and can handle up to 1200 lb load. I used the motor once to lift it into my truck and once to get it down. When I got home, I simply wheeled it down the 7 stairs to my basement. So not much battery use. My helper and I strapped in the boiler and up the stairs we went. We get to the 5th step and the climber started beeping continuously, 2 beeps for low battery. By the 6th step it started to slow down. We were then stuck between the 6th and 7th step (the landing) and the M-1 was dead. So, 400 pounds on the stair tread, 165 pound climber, and the wheels wouldn't go up to the landing. We then had to lift and pivot the load while it was hanging in the air and by sheer force we got it onto the landing and unstrapped it. Ok, so, I assumed Superior never charged the battery before it was rented. Surely, Superior wouldn't have rented a Powermate with bad battery. So, I charged the battery for 30 minutes while we rolled the boiler out to the truck. Lots of fun rolling a boiler. Next, we put on the water tank which was about 300 lbs. And wouldn't you know? The Powermate did the same thing, 2 beeps on the 6th step and died at the landing. At least we got it to the landing. The rest of the stuff, including the water heater and concrete sink had to be walked up by hand. Of course, the entire time my helper is telling me that a come-along and ramps would have been a lot cheaper and less work than the bad, bad, bad, Powermate. The next day, I returned the M-1 to Superior and explained the problem. Their mechanic checked the unit and determined the battery wasn't holding a charge. The folks at Superior told me the best they could do was 20% off the rental (apparently that's a Superior corporate policy). I explained it to them in simple terms, "You rented a piece of equipment that was untested, malfunctioning, and not working correctly. If we hadn't been strong enough to pull up those loads, you would have a smashed up Powermate and a lawsuit for the damage to my basement stairs and walls." (I'd keep the battery for the purpose of evidence). I've rented a lot of equipment over the years for work and my personal use; floor sanders, plumbing snakes, trench diggers, jack hammers, pipe threaders, etc. If the unit doesn't do the job, malfunctions or if it breaks down, I have always been heavily compensated if not refunded in full. I've never had to argue. It's my time and money and if the tool doesn't work, it wastes my time, costs me money, and makes more work for me. From here on in, whatever Superior is renting, I'll find elsewhere. It's nice to be Superior but it's more Superior to be nice.
