We love their products despite the fact that everything here is overpriced.

Love the three Bloody Mary mixes. Mix them with low sodium tomato juice. These products are also very low sodium compared to grocery store items. Excellent as is York, Maine!

HORRIBLE WORK CONDITIONS I worked at Village Candle located in *****, ***** for about a year. The facility is filthy, floors are covered in a black dust and are not cleaned properly. Fans have years of dust and wax built up blowing on employees and product. Bathrooms have pee on seats constantly, foot marks on toilets, p*** residue on/in toilets. Broken glass randomly throughout the building, I have seen birds, mice, and plenty of bugs thriving here. There is a ton of product waste here, bugs are mixed into some of the candles and sometimes not removed before the product is finished and sent off to customers. There is a constant verbal pressure on employees to meet unrealistic expectations of completing thousands of candles a day. Expectations of picking up freshly poured jars over 150 degrees F with no heat protection to ensure quality of product. Supervisor ********** screams/embarrasses employees in front of their coworkers and blames others for her own mistakes rather than taking ownership. There is a lot of drama here due to staff and supervisors being friends and information being leaked that should be private. This job has by far had the worst working conditions, I had a coworker here that said the poor quality of product caused respiratory issues to them and management did not take it seriously and denied their claim even though they had proof from their own doctor, which lead to this hardworking coworker leaving this job with continued health issues to deal with on their own. You would think a company that has a supervisor ***** bragging about how they made ******************************** a staff meeting to all employees would accommodate health issues caused by their facility and pay their employees working hard more than $17.00 an hour especially when Dairy Queen down the road is paying teenagers a minimum of $19.00 an hour. Leaving this job was by far the best decision I have ever made, Village Candle definitely ruined Stonewall Kitchens name for many.

This is one of my favorite stores! I love to cook and they offer so many options for making a fantastic meal really quickly. Marinades, sauces, rubs... not to mention breakfast items like pancake, scone, cinnamon rolls & popover mixes to name a few. I've gotten inspired by the employees at times. They are all so friendly & helpful.

I recently bought some items here but when I got home I found one of the items I purchased had been opened already (the safety seal under the cap missing) and looked partly used. I went into the store to exchange it for an unopened item and was treated like I was a difficult customer making an unusual and difficult request that required a manager a bunch of stern frowning faces and a discussion about my showing them my drivers license, and then them deciding it was not required since it was an exchange. Total ick. No longer a fan.

If you're traveling via airplane, there's no purpose for buying something here when you can buy online. Walk around and do some smell tests on candles (the Cashmere is the best). BUT their lunch is pretty phenomenal, so go for that!

This store is a great combo of new, innovative kitchen items and the old standbys like drink mixers, baking pans and mixes, jams/jellies/sauces. We love getting gift sets for our foodie friends, especially the pancake mix/syrup/mixing bowl combo. You can also take advantage of big "end of season" sales, and they are so generous with free samples (while following Covid safety procedures), or you can be adventurous and try something new.We just stocked up in pepper jelly, sugar plum jam, and yummy drink mixers (lemon drop, blueberry lemon mint and pomegranate cosmo), and some mustard dipping sauces and mustards.Run, don't walk there!

I used to love going to this place. It is super disappointing how they don't have the samples to try anymore. (Jams, dips, etc.) That was the main reason why I liked going here. Also, it helped to pick out what you wanted to buy, since they are seriously OVERPRICED. There is so much to look at and they have a lot of great gift ideas, but without the samples, it doesn't do it for me anymore.

My family and I came in during Labor Day weekend. I wish I knew all the women’s names who worked that day, but they loved our energy, and we loved theirs. They have superb customer service, warm and welcoming. Wish they were in STL, but I enjoyed the shopping experience. They have a plethora of kitchen needs, plus more.

Difficult experience with manager who would not sell me a product with a defective wrapper for the price the others with defective wrappers were selling for. Not a good customer experience with her at all. When I asked who the general manager was, she advised it was she. I spent over $125 at that store in 2 days. The employees were all great, which is a benefit to the store. I'm still baffled.
