Outrageously expensive. They merged with my original vet practice and closed them. My monthly injection for my cat went from 75$ to 115$ and now three months later they raised prices again to 133$. Extreme prices for not even close to as good of care. Ask a simple question and they want to make a vet appointment for even more money and it’s really a disappointment such a good vet practice merges with these price gouging scoundrels.

First visit: Longer wait times than I would expect. After the visit we get a call saying that they gave our dog the wrong vaccine. We make an additional appointment to get the correct vaccine, which is comped. Not great, but ok.Second visit: We waited 45 minutes in the car (they still do that here) to be seen. I got a call after 30 minutes asking me general check up questions and if I want to get other vaccines.Apparently someone arrived with an emergency situation at the same time we did for the second visit. I don't expect to be prioritized over an emergency, but I expect better than this.

Yesterday my pup and I had our 2nd experience at South Windsor Veterinary Clinic and I couldn't have been more pleased. Very professional, kind and efficient staff. The merging with Animal Medical Clinic looks like a good thing.

Love this place! They are very accommodating and have a lot of feline knowledge. I don't use any one specific vet there so I've seen them all and I have no complaints about any of them. The vet techs are my favorite - so loving to the animals!

This review is for their front desk staff. I don’t even have any animals here anymore but needed information about one years ago that has since passed away. The lady who helped me on the phone couldn’t have been nicer. She was so kind and helpful.

Cannot say enough good things about this Vet Clinic. I took my pets there for over a decade, I recently moved to GA and that is the only reason we don't see them anymore. The staff is amazing - all of them. They are so kind & helpful. They always explain everything thoroughly, I was never surprised by any costs. I also feel that their costs are very fair and I never ever felt pressured to do anything for my pets that wasn't necessary for them. They took great care of my lab mix Cullen for many years and were there at the very end and I am so grateful to them for everything. They've also taken amazing care of my cat Draz & our half German Shepherd/half hyena Skye. Highly highly highly recommend them, absolutely wonderful people and you can trust them.

Everyone at South Windsor Veterinary Clinic was wonderful! Both Dr. Smith and Raquel were very professional with taking the time to listen to my questions and concerns about my cat Sophia. They took the time to make sure she felt calm and safe while examining her and made her 1st vet experience a pleasant one. It is very obvious that the staff here adores all animals. I am very happy to have found such a fantastic clinic.

I brought my two cats here a while back for a check up and shots because i heard they were great from some family. I didn’t feel like they did a real check up with them (they barely touched either of them), so i brought them somewhere else where my oldest (2yo) was diagnosed with a level 4-5 heart murmur that was very obvious and very serious, which was later diagnosed as HCM with ventricular blockages by a cardiologist who was absolutely SHOCKED it had not been found when i said she was at the vet a month earlier, even asked if they had seen it when she got fixed a year and a half before. I don’t understand how it was missed by a licensed vet because when i listen to check on heart every few days like i have to now, i hear it clear as day with untrained ears. She now takes two medications to control it and needs echocardiograms every 6 months. On top of all that, they came home with fleas which they had never had before, AND they charged me an extra waste disposal fee because they were supposed to do stool samples but i decided against it when i saw how little they cared for my cats and i threw it away myself at home. i will never be coming here again and have told all my family and friends about this disappointment. Do better.

If you are looking for the most amazing, caring, friendly, gentle, patient, veterinary clinic in this State, you found it here! Not only are Dr. Smith and Dr.? Amazingly qualified to care for your pet, but they have a staff working there who are all the most wonderful animal friendly people, you will ever meet. And they saved the life of our dog Harleigh! Harleigh is a 6 yr. old American Bulldog. She is a big part of our family and we love and spoil her a whole lot. She unfortunately is not people or animal friendly, except with us and our son. So to say that she protects us, would be an understatement. However, this did NOT deter S.W.V. from taking Harleigh as a new patient at their clinic. And believe me when I tell you that I made my fair share of calls and requests, that were all turned down, before I found S.W.V.My story is long, but i feel i have to tell it.Harleigh was the first female dog we owned which we didn't spay. Initially, we thought we may like her to have a litter. But she never did. So on the morning of January 20th, she woke up and was bleeding. She really should be through with her heats by now. And at the last visit Josh was discussing this with us. So something told me that this probably wasn't her heat. But she was acting normal, so I briefly hesitated before calling. However, Harleigh was licking herself more than normal, and the color of the blood was darker than normal, so I called the vet. And spoke with Josh. Who always works with Harleigh...and knows her as well as us. He told us to keep a close eye on her & Call back if anything changes. He said that it sounded text book for this bad infection that unspayed female dogs can get, that it can be life threatening if not caught in time and treated! So, .now I'm nervous, but keeping a close eye on her. Within 20 minutes of that call, things went downhill quickly! Next thing I know, we are in the car, rushing to see Josh and Dr. Smith at the vet. They drew blood, examined her, took an x-ray and without hesitation, told us that she had that infection so badly, that if she didn't have emergency surgery that evening, she might not make it!So, the amazing Angel's that they all are at this clinic, stayed after hours to make sure that Harleigh had surgery that night! That everything and anything they could do to help her and us was done! And the concern, kindness and compassion that they showed us, was something I never experienced or expected; but was everything we got. And everything they gave to Harleigh while she was sick, scared, away from us, and not knowing what was going on.I am soo happy to say that Harleigh made it through her surgery with flying colors, and is on her road to recovery. She will be on antibiotics for a while. And she has quit a few stitches, but she's home and alive!I can not thank the doctors and staff at South Windsor Veterinary Clinic enough for what they did. To them, I am forever thankful! You saved our dogs life! You truly are Angel's sent from Animal heaven. Your kindness could never go un-noticed. Harleigh is forever grateful to you all! ?THANK YOUKim, Terry, & HarleighAnd to the woman who out of the kindness of her heart, helped us, we thank you and are very grateful to you as well.

My baby Morticia hurt her back playing. She was unable to stand or walk. South Windsor Veterinary Clinic was able to get her in right away on a busy Saturday.Dr. Schultz did a full exam on Morticia and explained everything to us in a very professional but caring way. They provided medication and a print out of instructions.I’m happy to say Morticia is feeling a little better today.I would definitely recommend Dr. Schultz and her team.
