I have been using Mitchell fuel for 6 years now and have never had a problem with deliveries or customer service. I always enjoy speaking to Marie. She knows her stuff and is always very helpful!

Mitchell Fuel is great!! From the woman on the phone placing my order to the delivery driver everyone was easy to work with, courtesy, knowledgeable and professional. They even sent me a thank you card. That shows they truly care about and appreciate their customers. Thanks again Mitchell's!!

I will not recommend this company for my worse enemy, their customer service is soo bad, and have no respect for people of Colour. They really need to fire all of the customer service rep and hire innovative people who are knowledgeable and know how to handle diverse populations. I called to state my concern about being dissatisfied with service and she said “ if you are unhappy with our service maybe you should go elsewhere next time”

Needed a servicing on my furnace, the customer service rep did everything in their power to push my business away. Worst customer service experience I've ever had.

I couldn't be any more disappointed with this company. This could be a case study taught in school of how not to run a business. My mother decided to go with a Daikin heat pump system to heat/cool a @~1500sq ft ranch and installation began summer of 2020. Right off the bat there were issues such as incorrect mounting straps, bad circuit board and one of the five possible "zones" not working all resulting in delays. At this time my father was literally on his death bed, inside the house, so it was imperative disruption was kept to a minimum and my elder mother was kept comfortable. Installation was finally completed in August and mom enjoyed the air conditioning immediately. Well, come winter of 2020 we encounter yet another issue: while in heat mode the temperature will fluctuate wildly 4-10° above the set temperature. I was in touch with Mitchell and continued to be brushed off and told that Daikin reps can’t come out due to Covid. In the meantime I’m collecting data in the house and trying different settings without any help. I asked Mitchell repeatedly to come out themselves and at least take readings and see if it’s just a setting adjustment. 2021 came & went without one visit from Mitchell. Eventually they just stopped responding to emails, even with other involved parties CC’ed, which just speaks to lack of professionalism. Two winters came and went with uncomfortable, wildly fluctuating temperatures. While visiting mum during Christmas 2020, I actually had to sleep with the window open because the house got close to 80. We got the feeling that they had our money, so now we're at the bottom of the list for service. I finally asked for their Daikin rep contact info.In the end, I had to reach out to Daikin directly for help and the rep knew immediately what the problem most likely was after just speaking for a few minutes. The rep couldn’t have been more pleasant and sympathetic to our situation. While not their standard operating procedure, the rep agreed to work with us directly to make changes on the wall remote. The problem was very easy to resolve and the rep talked us through what to change and even provided documentation as to what all the codes meant. I’m fairly confident that Mitchell would have been able to find the problem OVER A YEAR earlier had they bothered to come out. With all this said, I’m one of the easiest people to work with; I wasn’t hounding Mitchell constantly, never yelled at them, I gave them the benefit of the doubt on multiple occasions to make things right. Just think how much energy, money and time was wasted due to their incompetence. Oh well, glad that chapter is closed. The final irony was receiving a letter stating that Mitchell is changing ownership but don’t worry they’ll still be there for you. Yeah right.

My brother and I have used Mitchell Fuel for oil delivery, boiler service and a boiler install at four different properties for 15+ years. They are very knowledgeable and fair to deal with. Techs are happy to explain what they are repairing/replacing and why. Emergency weekend service has never been an issue. You might pay a few cents more for oil delivery, but the service and reliability are well worth it.

Used Mitchell Fuel to install my central air. Employee who quoted price and installation was very polite and professional. Pricing was competitive and they offered a good lead time. When I placed deposit I was told, I would be the third in line and installation would be complete in approximately 3 weeks. After 5 weeks I started calling weekly, 10 weeks later I was still calling continuously to get an installation date. Owner would not return my calls or emails. When I asked for the cause of the delay I was told it was weather related, then staffing issues, then delay of parts. Once installers finally showed up, they told me they had done multiple installations already for the season and I was they were not short staffed. After installation, I was waiting for the final inspection and recieved a late payment notice. Owner expected me to pay prior to having final inspection, and when I called to speak to him, again no return phone call.

I am new to oil heating, my heating and hot water stopped working last night. I initally thought oil was out, although tank is half full because when I reset my boiler it works for few minutes and goes off. I called Mitchell, they came in and filled half tank oil and said its not oil issue since it already has 1/2 tank. By then my indirect water heater tank started dripping from air valve a bit. The oil delivery person sends pictures back to their office and the office calls me after a while. One of the Mitchells tells me water heater tank is broken and it is impacting your boiler and home heating.. asks me 3500+tax to put in new tank. I asked for a technician visit to confirm it in person but he says no we are sure its tank and needs new one.I called diff company Andrews, they send an emergency guy in an hour for few bucks of cost, he checks out my boiler, does some investigation, said its a pump issue, replaces it for $150 and my heat and hot water is back up fine. My water heater was dripping off because of water being cold and valve contracting and not because of any issue. It stops once my boiler is running and heating is on.Mitchell doesnt care enough to send a person even when I am ready to pay for visit and simply want to make me buy a fancy new equipment being a new guy for almost $4k. Not the right way to gain trust of a new customer. We can understand if they are busy and can come later, but making me spend money to replace a working tank for $4k. Thats 2 months salary for people.

Far and away the worst experience I've had with a service company like this. We're new homeowners, and our heaters were blowing hot air during the summer. We figured we'd reach out to them, since the former owners used them for years. Everything seemed fine at first- they came and replaced a couple of parts. However, a few minutes after they left, we realized that our hot water suddenly didn't work. It had worked completely fine that morning. We called them again, and they sent another person out who fixed that new issue. We asked about how much it was going to come to, and the guy said he "wouldn't expect anything too significant". A few days later, got a bill for over $900 in the mail- and our heater, in the meantime, had started blowing hot air again. I called a couple times to talk about it, and the technicians I talked to were all perfectly nice and reasonable people. Unfortunately, the woman who works there- I see her mentioned in a few other reviews here- will interrupt and shout over you on the phone, purposely escalate things until you can't get a word in, and then hang up on you as if you're the one being unreasonable. Turns out, the real issue is a PINCHED WIRE on one of the thermostats, which they told us we need an electrician for. They took $180 off of the bill as a "courtesy". Still paying over $700 for absolutely nothing, got screamed at and hung up on for questioning them at all. Don't get taken advantage of, go somewhere else from the start.

This is the best place for all your home heating and plumbing needs! They went above and beyond to remove an underground oil tank. Thanks to Bill, John, David, and Matt! Futhermore, Marie, especially, is a Godsend and Mitchell Fuels is lucky to have her!

Shout out to Mitchell Oil for being the worst company to ever do business with. They want me to pay almost $400 for not fixing a thing- literally they didn’t do work- but they claimed they did- invoice says nothing was wrong- I’m paying for their overtime when I didn’t even know that was a thing. The invoice says one thing they are saying another. They said they’d order a part- took weeks with no calls to us. Didn’t even need the part- they wanted to charge us $700 to “fix” it but couldn’t say that would actually fix it. Ordered a $20 part on amazon and fixed it ourselves. Then they threatened to take me to small claims court.
