All of the instructors at the Fred astaire south Windsor studio are professionally trained dancers who have been highly successful in their sport competing both professionally or with students .
The studio owners have been at this location for two years and I have been taking ballroom dance lessons at their studio soon after they arrived .
Having had multiple instructors at different studios over the last ten years I can say they are the very best at what they do .
They have made me a better competitive dancer by their experience teaching all levels of ballroom dance . I am inspired by the instructors enthusiasm for dance and their commitment in making me a better dancer.
The philosophy of this studio is to motivate you by setting a high level of technical instruction that they believe you can achieve .
I am very fortunate to have found a studio where I can enjoy dancing while also benefiting from continued improvement.

We love Fred Astaire in South Windsor! We have worked with multiple instructors and they all do an amazing job of making you feel comfortable and confident. My fiancé and I definitely learn a little slower and they are so good with us. Victor is funny and puts us both at ease.

Since I first stepped through the doors of Fred Astaire Dance Studios in South Windsor in 2018, it has been a transformative experience. What began as a six-week winter hobby turned into a six-year journey of joy, growth, and an ever-deepening love for dance. The new owners, Yuliya and Viktor, who joined two years ago, have brought a vibrant energy that has truly reinvigorated the studio. All the instructors are second to none – highly skilled, passionate, and dedicated to continuous improvement. They have decades of experience across various dance styles, and their commitment to coaching, training, and dancing shows in every lesson. My dance career has flourished, largely thanks to my dedicated dance partner, Jose Zuquilanda. From day one, Jose has been by my side, building my confidence and creating a sense of safety and intuitive connection on the dance floor. His choreography and unique dance compilations help us shine together, bringing out the best in my dancing. Dancing with Viktor has been a revelation in smooth style, expanding my understanding of technique and elegance. Gleb, with his infectious energy, has pushed my rhythm skills to a new level. And then there are Yuliya and Tania – the most graceful dancers, continually adding beauty and finesse to every move I make. This team of exceptional instructors, each with their unique strengths, has turned what I thought would be a brief winter activity into a six-year love affair with dance. Whether you're there for social dancing, a special event, or competition training, this team will guide you every step of the way. I look forward to coming to lessons every week. Yuliya and Viktor, the owners, have created a very special place that is warm and inviting and all of the instructors are top notch when it comes to technique, artistry, and professionalism. Their passion for ballroom shows and they truly care about their students and their dancing. I can't express my gratitude enough for continuing to keep the joy of dance in my life!

The dance instructors in South Windsor are patient, fun and incredibly good dancers. The owners Yulia and Victor have created a warm and inviting atmosphere for the students. Highly recommend taking lessons with them.

The instructors at this studio are amazing, no matter what your ability level they make you feel comfortable and confident. I have been coming here weekly for a year and have a whole new level of confidence. Go for their free introductory private lesson and you will not be disappointed. Great workout too!

I couldn’t recommend the team at South Windsor Fred Astair more! We found them to lean a dance for our wedding, The whole atmosphere is very fun and inviting and the team makes dance lessons very approachable.

Viktor and the crew were absolutely amazing! We had two weeks to prepare which Viktor was able to accommodate our schedule and fit in as many lessons before our wedding. He kept it fun, was easy to get along with, made us laugh, and more importantly, allowed Jenna and I to appreciate one another throughout the process. Viktor gave us the confidence we needed and we NAILED it! Everyone was blown away with how well we did and none of this would have been possible without these amazing people. Do not even hesitate, trust them and the process if looking for wedding dance lessons.

They have an incredible team and are very welcoming. Me and my fiance are more of the shy type and we have always felt welcome and encouraged to do our best and have fun learning. I would highly recommend this studio for anyone that wants to learn ballroom and is nervous because this team has support and love in their hearts.

We worked with Yuliya to learn some moves for our wedding first dance and she is absolutely fabulous. She’s fun, she’s professional and made us both feel comfortable the entire time. We have learned so much in such a short time. I would absolutely recommend this studio. All of the instructors are amazing dancers and super friendly.

Incredible dance studio. Came here with my fiancé to learn our first dance song, we have no prior Dancing experience. They were able to create a custom dance for our first dance, but also able to create a cultural dance for us as well. Highly recommended, comfortable and extremely friendly environment!

I've been wanting to stretch my dancing wings and found the perfect fit. With Fred Astaire, I can get professional teachers for numerous types of dances or focus on a few select types without traveling to all sorts of different dance studios. A one-stop shop! Besides the convenience, my studio location of South Windsor has a marvelous staff....all are truly wonderful and immediately try to immerse you into their studio activities. The dance students that I have met are inspiring as well. They offer group classes and private lessons....i have only attended a few group classes, which is a great way to interact with other students and instructors, I have been taking private lessons, basically one on one with a teacher, but you share the dance floor with a select other students that also have scheduled their lessons....personally, I was a bit hesitant because I was unsure of how I would properly focus on my select dance and practice, while sharing the floor and music with others who weren't practicing the dance that I was practicing, but it has not been a problem. I am very happy with my South Windsor studio - the floor is clean and big, the staff is friendly, students are sociable, and the lesson plan is tailored to you. Best decision made to expand my dancing knowledge....a one-stop shop...no need to look for classes or experts in numerous locations. Besides classes, they do weekly socials, which is awesome because the only way to improve and practice is by actually dancing with others outside of your lessons!

My husband and I have been taking dance lessons at the Fred Astaire studio in South Windsor for a little over a year and we can't recommend the team enough! We had little to no dance experience when we started, and everyone was so welcoming and encouraging. Our primary instructor, Jose, is very patient with us and has really taken the time to get to know us so he can tailor his approach to our learning styles and goals (not an easy feat since my husband and I differ quite a bit on both!). The entire team is incredibly knowledgeable, and they make everything fun and approachable. We may not be destined for competitions or anything like that, but we are very much enjoying learning something new and active together in such a warm, positive, and encouraging environment!
