What dumbass executive in charge of choosing store locations picked this location AND approved the parking lot layout? Absolute insanity. Located and tucked away in a boarder line suburb intertwined with commercial office buildings sits this Costco building. It was our first time there and I can tell you that will be my last time. Trying to get in and out was an absolute nightmare. And the chaos is perpetrated with the exit and entrance to the gas station. An absolute nightmare.

Every-time I go to this location, the customer service is absolutely heinous, disrespectful and no longer tolerable. *NOTE: The Costco's in LA are a pleasure to go to. My wife and I go there even when we have nothing to buy, and end up buying tons of stuff. However:When my wife and I think about having to go to a CT Costco, we're like oh no, we have to go to Costco. THE STORY: I wear my MMA/football gear most of the time because that's my profession, (I was even wearing USA football inspired half sweats that I may use for semi-pro) but it by no means justifies aggressive, rude disrespectful behavior. I tolerated it at first but now I have to say something.. I've also been a bouncer and high security off of Columbus Ave in Santa Monica, so I know when someone is tying to give me a hard time on purpose. Acting like they're the innocent party being very rude and disrespectful right from the start, even before I spoke one word. Then when there was a disagreement between us, instead of discussing the issue like an adult, this person tried to bully their stance, arguing aggressively to the point another cashier had to say walk away. Mind you I'm 6'2 255lbs and it's not fat *ahem, and I don't misuse the gift. In any event, the person was fighting as if I represented someone they were practicing on fighting with physically in the non-business world. When their attempt at "bullying" did not work, the employee called in the "muscle guy" manager to try and intimidate me. The manager went right into acting extremely disrespectful and aggressive from the start and throughout the conversation until I mentioned that the business I managed never had less than a 5 star. Then all of a sudden he snapped out of his anger and decided to act properly. Is that what it takes to get good customer service at Costco?? Absolutely ridiculous. The manager showed very little in the way of service skills and was threatening in his demeanor. He acted like he was doing me some huge favor, I'm the customer. It was a very small issue to begin with and my wife spends a great deal of money here. Who is hiring these unqualified employees? I understand you need to cut costs because of decreasing margins however this is going against the whole point of Costco which is cornering the market Customer wise. I remember when Costco had superior customer service. Big Y and Stop n Shop not to mention Best Buy are caching up with Costco in many items per unit so it's not effective to cut costs in customer service training. Overall thoughts: RACI*SM and PREJUDICE is what this was really all about or two employees fighting ghosts of Christmas past. They most likely thought I was Latino or part black as many raci*st people do. Even those of my own race ironically. *Note: My hat had an American eagle dressed in the flag and my football jersey was see through enough to see American Fighter MMA apparel, beautiful training clothes. DO, YOUR, JOB. - B.Belichick. Even a cashier should have a high level of customer service skills and politeness to any customer. You want to fight people, get an MMA or boxing job. There are plenty of them. USE YOUR HEAD NOT YOUR PREJUDICES/EGO if you want the world and Costco to be a better place, it starts with treating ALL people with dignity and respect.NOTE: The lack of managerial responses to any of the comments, positive and negative shows the direction and attitude of this location/leadership. Big Y gives me an immediate response and corrects ANY issue, which in turn inspires me to change my rating. ATTITUDE REFELECTS LEADERSHIP This location and Costco in CT, are littered with employees with bad attitudes at every level. In LA the Costco's are completely different with well mannered associates. Now thinking about it, I remember my chemical engineer uncle had mentioned the same customer service issue regarding Costco in the Greater Hartford area.

I could not be more disappointed in my experience with this store. Specifically Elizabeth and Vinnie. When I joined I was excited and was even given $80 in gift cards as a welcome gift. However when I went to use the gift cards they had already been used. Not my fault, not Costco's but very unfortunate. I spoke to Vinnie and Elizabeth about this situation about the email was forwarded to me from my wife however Elizabeth and Vinnie could not have been more unsympathetic. They offered me nothing and basically said that's our policy and we can't do anything for you. More like we won't do anything for you. Really really disappointed in how customer service was handled. Clearly these two need some customer service training. A word to the wise that they do not have your back and how you will be treated by this store.

I shop regularly at Costcos and continue to find great buys on everything I purchase. I recently decided to try the Tempura Shrimp after trying a sample in the store. It was absolutely delicious, crunchy, lightly battered and the size of the shrimp with no shrinking was phenomenal. I purchased a frozen box containing 30 count that comes with packets of sauce. The shrimp are large so I baked about 4 in the oven. They were filling and as delicious as they were in the store. I shared some with my friends at work and they too were equally impressed and wanted to buy them at Costcos.

Not so much crowded, finding a parking spot was reasonable. Has everything, wholesale, liquor, tire center and gas station as well. Loved it

Costco extend warranty is a completely fraud. I have an Asus laptop worth $1400 has screen burn-in in one year. Costco Technical and Warranty Services just claim this is not a manufacture defect and close the case. Don't buy any electric production from Costco and dont believe anything on their warranty.

In my eyes, hands down this is the best Costco in the area/state. Seems to be lower key not nearly as busy as Enfield (next closest). The layout is very easy to navigate. Easy to get in get what you need and get out. The gas station is also very good, moves pretty fast usually. The package store is also another big plus, for the most part they have a pretty good selection, more so wine and hard liquor, but overall good. The samples of food alone are worth the trip! Haha

I personally believe that Costco is the best superstore you can visit for bulk items. Even for most other items, the prices and customer service at Costco is usually unbeatable. They also have great pharmacy, eyeglasses, hearing aid, and tire departments. However, at this particular location I think the customer service is not as good as, say the Costco in Enfield. This location is also extremely busy, so be aware of that. Other than that, Costco is a great place to shop because of the deals you get on prime brands.

My recent visit to the local Costco Superstore left me with mixed feelings about the shopping experience. While there were some positive aspects, there were also a few shortcomings that I couldn't ignore.Starting on a positive note, the sheer size of the store is impressive. It's a retail giant with a vast selection of products ranging from electronics and clothing to household essentials and groceriesThe downside of the Costco is they don’t have any label for aisle. So it’s really hard to find product. Which is not a good thing for the customer. Another thing is each step they are looking for their membership card which is kind of annoying.Overall I like prefer Costco then Bj’s. They have more variety of products but they need some improvements.

I got a bag of potatoes for a very low price, and surprisingly potatoes were bad in 2 days, I had to throw the whole bag in the garbage. Just be careful, not everything in sale is a good purchase. In other hand, the business is ok for other deals, still over priced but they have a lot of variety of food and brands.

good prices on mostly bulk items. took a star off because they don't let you shop under your families card unless you are listed as a user. I get it, but they only let one extra user per card. I have multiple people in my household and everyone takes turn shopping for the family, so it is definitely an inconvenience.

All this place represents is the savage consumerism inherent in too many Americans. A literal monument to excess, waste, and the always growing mountain of trash places like this sell and produce. For a family, it clearly is the choice place to get many items that would possibly be a bit more expensive than your local supermarket. Large quantities of staple items come in handy, such as paper products, meats, veggies etc...For two adults, purchasing most of these items would be a waste if much of it was perishable items. Having a vacuum sealer and a freezer to store it is the best way to go, but still it all looks like way too much.To each their own is what it boils down to. Just stop littering and slow down on excessive consumption for humanity's sake.

Great quality products at terrific prices. Great customer service as well. I do most of my grocery shopping at Costco, especially for prime meats, produce, dairy, and paper goods. I highly recommend!
