Nicely located local lawn, garden and hardware store. Hometown feel. They are extremely helpful.

Two evenings ago my furnace broke and as luck would have it the low that night was 12 degrees. The following day I attempted to have my furnace serviced only to find out it needed to be replaced and would take a few days. Fortunately I have two pellet stoves. Unfortunately I had just maxed out my credit card and then some to replace my furnace. I have only been a customer at Valley Home and Garden for the purchase of my pellets as of late Nov 2019, I just moved into this house. I went into Valley today and explained my dilema to Fred and told him my house was cold and I had kids at home and asked if I could please take a few bags of pellets and return the following day to pay for them. He said "absolutely! How many do you need?" I told him that I thought 4 would get me by and happily thanked him with a promise to return with payment the next day. He said "not to worry about it" only asked for my phone number and said I wouldn't hear from them for atleast a week and to take my time getting back to them. As I was loading my 4 bags into my car Fred came outside and said "would you like 8 bags? I don't want your house to be cold". What an incredible jesture and what an amazing act of kindness. I am truely greatful to Fred and those at Valley Home and Garden. I will be a return customer for life. Thank you.

Valley Home and Garden is a gem. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their product mix is excellent. I recently purchased an Ariens zero turn mower from them. Not only is their price the same or lower than everyone else, they set them up, deliver, and run through the operation of the machine. They even made an appointment for the delivery. There's no reason to leave town to shop anywhere else. I highly recommend them.

I was stumbling around in the nut and bolt section of this hardware store for close to ten minutes which seemed like hours while I was wondering if the hired help, who's sitting on the floor, and in my way while trying to select nuts and bolts, While he was Writing on some POS stickers was going to either 1) ask me if I needed help or 2) get the hell out of my way. Eventually, #2. But NEVER ever asked me if I needed help. At this point all I wanted to do was leave but badly needed some huts and bolts to help my son out of a jamb.

The cashier is very nice. The guy who runs the Service Dept is incredibly rude and condescending. Can't stand asking him a question...very rude and patronizing. We will never buy equipment here.

So, I've got a really large snowblower and it's so large that it doesn't fit in my car or my wife's car. What are two ladies to do when their machinery needs a little love? Call CT Snowblower in Simsbury! Our snowblower stopped starting about a week ago and we were getting worried about the next storm. I emailed this place after finding their website. I was a bit worried that we lived outside of their pickup/dropoff range but our West Hartford location wasn't too far for them. They called me back a few hours later and we arranged the deal. They would come out the next morning (I know! Sweet!) and pick up the blower for service. 4 hours after they picked it up they called, said it was working and tuned up and did we want the electric start replaced (as it was shot). Yes, Yes, and Yes. They also fixed the directional-snow-shooty thing too, which had been wanky for a few years. They called the next day to arrange payment and delivery. All was said and done in about 36 hours. We paid a couple hundred bucks and it's as good as new, back in our garage, awaiting the next flakes. I would definitely recommend these guys for your snowblower needs (they sell them too!).

I needed to scramble and get my brother a gift for his first Father's Day after my on-line vendor flaked on me at the very last possible moment (the Friday before Father's Day). I needed a specific Weber grill that no one else (Lowe's, Home Depot, and a few local stores) had in stock. I found this store on the Weber site and spoke to Aki. What an amazing customer service experience! I was lucky that they had it in stock but Aki went out of his way to make sure that he could have it assembled and delivered in 24 hours without charging me extra for the longer distance of delivery. They made an error in pricing that they found quickly and could have corrected but let me have it at the lower price because it was in my favor. Excellent experience! All this while I'm doing everything by phone from California. Please shop here. It's important to support good people who pride themselves on treating customers well. I felt so relieved after getting of the phone with them. I'm sure that it will arrive as promised.
