“This is one of my favorite thrift stores to go to. The layout is very easy to find things. The prices are great. Much less expensive than Goodwill. And they’re giving to a great cause. The turnover is fast so you could go there every week and find something new. The staff are lovely.”

“A very organized thrift shop and for a good cause. The employees were also super friendly. Favarh is a non profit organization which helps people with disabilities since 1958. The employees there are volunteers.Once I walked in, it looked like a boutique. Clothes, shoes, and cutlery/china were in the front area. Everything was organized by size and color. I immediately found a Vineyard Vines sweater that I loved for $12. They have sales based on color of the day/week; I would ask the employee for that information. In the back section, they had household items, books, and miscellaneous items. You can also sign up for their free rewards card; you gain points from every purchase and that adds up for future discounts. Overall, a great thrift store and I look forward to shopping there.”

“"If you really want to be my friend I really want to understand you baby If you really want to understand me I'll tell you something, that love can't thrive on jealousy" (Keith Richards / Mick Jagger) I'm glad to say I ran into none of the contradictory price confusion my friend Ana faced during her visit. I lucked out because there was a massive sales promotion today. It's hard to get misled on pricing when a posted sign says everything in the store was just $2. Must have been some sort of merchandise clearance deal or something similar. Anyway, as I walked around the store I noticed things were super neat and organized. The store was crowded, especially their tiny parking lot which was maxed out so we had to park on the mulched lawn on the side of the driveway. I was sifting through the men's section, almost bought two long sleeve white shirts but they were a few sizes too big for me. And that's when my eyes settled on a nice light gray/light green Joseph A. Bank suit. A suit for $2!!!!!! It needs to be altered, but I'm thinking I'll still come out way ahead on the deal. My wife also bought a nice coat for $2. The sales ladies were personable and funny, and I had a great time kibitzing with them. All sales proceeds go to charity, and that's a nice touch.”

“I went to Goodwill to look for some large picture frames, to frame some prints that I have. While I did find some very nice picture frames that were real wood, they were not the correct measurements that I was looking for. I figured, I would look at the dishes and glasses section since they had a large inventory here. I could not believe what I found here. I found a Tiffany & Co plate. One singular plate. A single Tiffany plate retails for $150. This wasn't even in the glass, with the jewelry and the finer pieces. It was just floating around with the rest of the glassware. It is so beautiful, white, porcelain with lily of the valley flowers engraved all around it. There isn't a single nick anywhere. It was marked at $1.00. I also saw a full set of Mikasa dishes. You just never know what kind of treasure you may find hidden at your Goodwill. There's plenty of books, clothes, and some furniture. They also had a nice coffee table. Some sections can be pretty messy, but when you find a hidden gem, you know it was worth your time.”

“Went Sat. am and the store was wall-to-wall people. My buddy and I checked out the merch and she found a practically brand new pet leash. I found a 2 piece veggie steamer for $1. However, the floor needs a sweep asap.”

“"I'd pay any price just to get you I'd work all my life and I will To win you I'd stand naked, stoned, and stabbed I'd call that a bargain, the best I ever had" (The Who) When you find out that a thrift store is running a "35% off" sale to mark their 5th anniversary, well any bargain seeking red blooded American would head on over, just like we just did. The store is larger than the one we customarily visit in Simsbury, so I didn't feel cramped walking around alongside a fair number of fellow shoppers. It's very neat and well organized inside and seemed to have a lot of merchandise. I saw the usual dishes, housewares, women's and men's shoes (including some gorgeous Air Jordans), shirts, blouses, outerwear, pants and jeans, plus sportscoats and men's suits ($25 or so). Some of the more unusual things I saw was an impressive collection of "I Love Lucy" memorabilia, and hiding among the audio CD's was a William Hung CD! He made quite a splash on American Idol 20 years ago, and if you're too young to know who he is, go check him out on YouTube. I bought a long sleeve white dress shirt, a red tie, and my wife bought a long sleeve top. After the 35% discount we paid an obscene $16 for everything. Yes, quite the bargain indeed. PRO TIP Parking is a bit of a toss-up, their lot is micro-sized, so you'll probably end up parking on a side street like we did.”

“I found the shop to be full of excellent items in every category. The 2 volunteers were exceptionally helpful as I searched for last-minute travel accessories. Prices are reasonable.”
