Can not say enough about Dan and his wonderful team. Enrolling Maximus into your program was the best decision we could make for our 10month old (95lb) Black Lab Puppy. Dan and his team are fantastic! My GSD pup Rex is pretty reactive and would struggle on our walks or when someone comes over to the house. The day training program helped get Rex focused and provided us with the right tools to work through scenarios that were hard for him. The work Heather and Kaitlyn put in was immediate and we are now well on our way to success!

We consider ourselves lucky to have known Dan for several years. We have been just as fortunate to be working with Heather and Kaitlyn. Over the years, we have brought 4 dogs for training. Dan and his team exceeded our expectations every time. Our confidence and comfort in managing problems or behaviors increased after each training session. They are very clear on what they have worked on each day so that we have success at home. Thanks to the K9U team, we’ve become more dependable leaders that our dogs trust for direction and consistency. We now have dogs we love walking, having guests over, and a calmer home environment. Our dogs LOVE going there whether it be for training or playgroup. Dan shows the same care and attention to each dog as he would to his own. I can’t recommend Dan and his K9 Unified team enough!

We could not recommend K9 Unified enough! Dan and the whole team at K9 Unified were absolutely amazing! We have a very anxious pup and his increased anxious behaviors over the past year impacting our life in major ways. He could not sit down or relax at all, he hid constantly for no reason (sometimes in very dangerous places), and even would jump on tables/kitchen counters. I was a skeptic but after 3 weeks with Dan we now are sitting on our couch while our confident pup sits on his cot by us with a new ability to exist all on his own. Dan was so kind and loving towards our dog and truly did the impossible with him. Throughout the 3 week training program Dan taught not only Wrigley but also taught us how to properly live with an anxious pup. Dan is so incredibly skilled and we cannot thank him enough for giving us our life back and for giving Wrigley a new found joy! If you are in debate on taking this step with your dog, trust me.. It's worth it.

We had such a great experience with Dan and the K9 team. Our dog left us an energetic, mischievous dog that was jumpy and mouthy. After spending time at K9, he's become more confident, obedient, and calm. I cannot say enough good things about Dan and the care he took with our dog, working with us all along the way to make sure we were all working towards the same goal. It's hard to know who to trust with your dog, and our experience yields a ringing endorsement of K9 Unified

We had an a wonderful experience with Dan and his team! They worked with our six year old Labrador to instill some manners he was lacking. The difference is amazing. My husband and I felt comfortable entrusting the staff with our dog throughout the two week day program. They demonstrated their understanding of our dog's personality by catering to his specific needs and preferences. He looked forward to being dropped off every day and excitedly greeted trainers and staff. I felt bad for our dog when the program was over because he loved going so much. My brother's dog was trained here in the board and train program. We researched programs throughout Massachusetts and northern Connecticut before deciding to work with K9 Unified. We liked the positive reinforcement approach, the expertise and professionalism of the team, and the clear passion for dogs that was apparent in their approach. They gave us tools to continue the work outside of the training environment and we are confident that we have a wonderful resource if we have questions. We plan to use their services for future dogs because once we experienced a trained well-mannered dog, there is no going back!

We cannot recommend Dan Lee and his company enough for their exceptional work with our 16-week-old deaf puppy. Dan's passion for working with dogs, especially those with special needs, was evident from the start.Dan approached our puppy's training with patience, understanding, and a deep knowledge of how to effectively communicate with a deaf dog. His methods were gentle yet firm, and he always took the time to explain each step of the training process to us, ensuring we were comfortable and understood how to continue the training on our own.Thanks to Dan's guidance, our puppy has made remarkable progress in a short amount of time. Dan is wonderful! All of the major issues we were having at home were resolved within 4 sessions. And what was even more satisfying was that Dan gave us the clear guidance, but we were the ones actually teaching our dog so we earned her respect along the way. We can honestly say within our household environment, we have the dog we dreamed of. We are planning to do the day program next to work on her dog social skills so we can have the dog we dream of outside the home too! Wish we would’ve found Dan sooner.

Dan, Heather and the rest staff are amazing! I would highly recommend the Pawsitive Reinforcement Training and play groups for your pup! Trust me! You will be amazed with the progress your pup makes if you follow their recommendations and training. Their attention to detail and knowledge set them and their programs apart from the others. Highly recommend Dan Lee- he was very effective and gave us new and excellent strategies to train our golden retriever puppy that provided a foundation to have a very obedient and responsive 2 1/2 year old dog that is a pleasure and can be with us at hotels, restaurants, friends homes!!!

Dan was incredible. He listened to our concerns with our dog and really taught us as owners how to correctly communicate with our pup! Dan allowed and trusted us to continue the work each week to be ready for our next session and we really feel like we already have a completely different dog who is learning correct manners when greeting people, learning space claiming areas in our home, how to properly walk on his leash but all stemming from our knowledge of how to communicate with our dog.Dan has been an incredible teacher and our dog really took to him, his energy and his approach. We hope to work with Dan again in the future on furthering our dogs learnings (and ours) and we’d highly recommend Dan!Thank you Dan for providing us the right tools to teach our dog the behaviors we want, to be able to trust him again, and release our anxiety.

We are a recent new puppy family. Having never had a puppy before we were overwhelmed and after seeing Pawsitive and Dan highly recommended on Facebook we decided to reach out. Within the first visit we had already see a great improvement in Ace’s behavior as we were given excellent tips on crate and obedience training. The following two sessions were just as informative and continued to build upon what Dan had begun showing us. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Dan.

We are so happy we went to Dan at Pawsitive Reinforcement Training. We decided to take our 1 year old lab for work on general manners and walking. Dan genuinely listened to what our concerns were and helped us understand how to issue corrections when rewards no longer work. I also think it's important to mention that Dan never made us feel bad or inadequate as pet owners. He always made it a point to acknowledge what we did well with our dog. He is very approachable and knowledgeable and we always felt like we can talk to him about anything.We signed up for the four session 1-on-1 training program and the difference week to week was incredible. Before working with Dan, I wasn't able to take my dog out in public without him pulling, barking at other dogs, and sniffing everything. Now he walks amazingly. Dan helped us take control of the walk. I can take him in public and he walks well on a loose leash. We have learned amazing tips on how to deal with distractions and just managing him overall.We still have our lovable, goofy dog; just with a lot more manners and better behavior. Thank you, Dan!

Our girl Phoebe just turned a year old. What we initially chalked up to "normal" puppy ... well ... wasn't. She was highly reactive to other dogs – think screaming, not barking. It was fear, not aggression, but her stress was off the charts. Phoebe couldn’t fully enjoy or experience the outdoor world, because if we ran into another dog, all bets were off. We simply didn’t have the tools to get her back down.We tried in-home training, but it just wasn’t enough. We needed more intensive, serious support. Thankfully, we found Dan Lee and Pawsitive Reinforcement. Phoebe entered Dan’s 365 program and lived and trained with him for six weeks. The two individuals who really needed to be trained – Phoebe's humans – were also there every week, working with Dan and Phoebe.Now Phoebe sticks right by our sides on a walk on a loose leash. More – in what frankly is a miracle to us – she can walk right by a dog and remain calm. She kept every bit of her joie de vivre.I do not have the words to express our gratitude.

We are so grateful to Dan and Heather for their work with our family and our Great Dane, Bogey. Dan is a true professional who graciously listened to our concerns to understand our greatest challenges and stressors with Bogey. Dan and Heather addressed and corrected several undesirable behavioral issues with Bogey and provided us with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to be strong dog leaders as we continue working with him in our home.We have worked with PRT for in-home training and the 365 program and have also sent Bogey to dog BNB and playgroup at the impeccably clean, interactive, and safe facility Dan has created. We highly recommend Dan and his amazing staff to any dog owner looking for a community of professionals who are genuinely invested in the success of the owner/dog relationship.
