Every once in a while I find deals here, but too often I find things at 80-90% of retail, sometimes same price as new.
Know what you're looking for when you walk in, so you don't end up with something you'll regret purchasing. I suggest you also google prices before you buy -- as not everything is a good deal.

If I could do 0 stars I would. Went to check out and was treated horribly. We were helped by a mother and daughter, daughters name was Taylor she was perfectly fine. Her mother however was rude and condescending. Me and my friend were confused about a price, we found a container that was misplaced and went with a stand. The older women had Taylor go find another with a price tag, when she came back Taylor explained that the pot got separated from the stand. The older women asked Taylor to make a tag for 25$. I asked if my friend would be charged the pot and the stand and they said “well if you want the stand we can get it but it’s more work for us”. My friend uncomfortable said “it’s fine I will just buy that one” and we were answered with a rude tone saying “well I still need to make a tag” I actually almost bursted out laughing because I was in such shock that this was happening. She continued to give us sas and attitude until my friend decided she didn’t even want it anymore. Upper management should really look into this. A employee should never be the reason someone does not spend money. Not only did they loose our money but also customers.

The new store is not quite as efficient as the former location, but it looks to be heading in that direction.

I enjoy shopping here especially in the clearance racks. They have really unique snacks and I'm always looking for funky flavored ones. On my most recent trip, I purchased the peach rings with tajin, mango chili taffy, fat free coffee flavoring, supplements, and home decor.I noticed that the aisles were really cramped especially walking through with a cart; it will not fit two carts so if there is another person in the aisle, there might be a cart accident lol.Cashiers has been pretty friendly so far. This is the closest HG to me so I'll be frequenting it.

This store is terrible compared to the one they closed in simsbury. You can barely move in there, the selection is awful, I will not be returning. Such a disappointment.

This was my first visit to this location since it moved from Simsbury Commons. The store is MUCH smaller than the old location. It's impossible to get down the aisles. I won't return to this location.

I loved the HomeGoods in Simsbury! .”I dread going to the HoneGoods in Avon.Very crowded! Very kitty room for some items. Frequently fall on the floor.Big disappointment.

Note that mine is the first review I've seen so far about the new location in Avon. I was a big fan of the Simsbury store and had high hopes for the move to the newly built store in Avon, but so far it's been a big disappointment. My girlfriends and I all find this store inferior to the Simsbury store. First of all, it feels smaller and more cramped. Secondly, I am not finding the assortment of things I used to find in the other store. It was laid out better and had more breathing room. When you came in you were often greeted by pretty displays full of new and seasonal merchandise. That's not the case in this store. At this time of year you couldn't walk in and not be assaulted by all things Fall and Halloween, tons of pumpkin stuff, pumpkin spice everything, you name it. I didn't see that in this store. I wouldn't have known Halloween was just around the corner. It's too bad, now my friends and I are all talking about how we'll have to visit other Home Goods locations further away to find the things we want but even then it will still be a hassle and a disappointment because even among Home Goods locations, the Simsbury store was special. I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to mess with a good thing. Maybe they thought being on a main road very close to the Marshall's was a good idea, and/or they got a deal on the rent. Whatever, it's just that in this time of constant retail store closures I didn't need another disappointment like this.
