Bobs closed but they will be reopening in the same plaza a few stores down! Looks like it will be a smaller store. But this might be better, as the previous store seemed kinda unnecessarily big, with not that much selection. I'm guessing the rents in this plaza are pretty high as there are a few other closings and vacant stores.

Man everyone is on this store in the reviews about being “cluttered” and the workers being “unprofessional”. The store was well organized, clean, and the employees are so friendly. If they genuinely needed help, they should’ve asked. It’s just common sense.

Bob's Stores used to be my frequent stop about 20 years ago. I used to get sandals and summer dresses, as well as all kinds of other basics. I never go there any more. It's not my type of store. Currently it's primarily an athletic store for men and women. I am actually surprised it's still in business. I just went the other day, because they sell men's Levi's jeans in tall sizes and I needed them for someone. There is also plenty of Under Armour, Nike, Champion and Reebok athletic gear. They also have bathing suits and sneakers. The store isn't busy at all, but it is well stocked and organized. They have a rewards system, for every $50 spent you earn a $10 coupon for next time, so they're working on bringing back their clientele. Bob's Store is a decent store, but most of the items they sell can be found at other retailers for a lower cost.

This is NOT about the Avon store which I think is really pretty good as far as personnel is concerned and being helpful. They simply do not have the items I want in stock, so I had to resort to online purchases.This is about ONLINE PURCHASES at Bob's Stores. Have been trying to purchase items online for about 2 weeks now. 1. I want to pay with Paypal - as they do advertise that they accept and offer that choice. But the site will NOT advance my purchase to Paypal - instead they tell me that "Paypal isn't responding so use your credit card here". I have talked to Paypal - they are not blocking Bob's Stores. It is Bob's who wants your credit card registered with them - and for me.... NO WAY!2. They sent a birthday coupon for $10 off. - which they will NOT accept. And yes, it is still valid according to their email. .3. If you are a member of certain standing - delivery is free. IT IS NOT. 4. Good luck finding a phone number online for customer service or help placing an order. I finally got it by calling the Avon Store. The number is 1-203-379-2260.I don't want Bob's to go away. I know they have merged with Eastern Mountain Sports - which I also like and would like them to exist. BUT to be successful, you need to SERVE YOUR CUSTOMERS...and be honest about it.Here's hoping they just might see this and fix the awfulness of doing business with them
