Was taken care of quickly, and my script was waiting for me right at the register. They knew right where it was. Staff was friendly.

Too bad the self-checkout guard, I mean employee has an attitude. I was going there weekly, til I got a BJs membership a year free. Then still going every two or three weeks. Tallish, good-looking Asian Indian man was nice enough in past. Last time he stood over me looking into my bags *(I always have one for frozen foods, one for canned goods and one for breads, cakes, etc.) Then a larger sac to carry all of it in. He stood over my cart giving me dirty looks right in my face looking back at cart. Man come on! I always spend at least $75-$100 in self-checkout and use it when only in a hurry. Coming from Stamford originally my parents knew the Cingari's well. Was a close knit Italian American community. Really? I paid 700K cash for my house in 2021 overpaid as I wanted to leave Rowayton. That means little except to say. Bug off loser I am not stealing. I asked for help with coupons and he blew me off! Huh? Not going back there. This guy needs either to get therapy over his misogyny or find another job. Never going back. Of course I let customer service know. Yeah, try finding an email for them. That was a course in internet sleuthing in itself. Just don't go there. Stop n Shop or BJs for me. Til I move to Fairfield.

Overall, this location is well stocked and clean. I especially like their fresh produce department. My one gripe is in regards to the check outs. The clerks tend to over stuff the bags even when you bring an ample amount of reusable shopping bags and specifically request that they don't make them too heavy. I've tried bagging my own groceries to avoid this, but somehow there's always a clerk who jumps in and takes over my efforts. Perhaps using less bags and over stuffing them moves the line along quicker? Either way it's an inconvenience for me, as I usually end up spending an extra fifteen minutes at the trunk of my car re-bagging most of my things.

Its your basic food grocery store but I have always felt the people who worked there are so much friendlier than the employees at the Stratford Shop Rite. No comparison, the Stratford store should send their employees to the Shelton location to take a quick course on Customer Service. Speaking of Stratford, why are their shopping carts so old and beat up?

A great place to shop as the customer service here cannot be beat. Employees willing to help whether it is a refund, raincheck, or locating something. Always accommodating. The gentleman in the self check out area always greets you personally and has a smile on his face. 1000x better than the store across the street.

I have been shopping at Shop Rite in Shelton for over 10 years. The Managers and employees are the best. They are helpful in every way. If you can not find something they go and find it. They are humble and friendly. Go way over the mountain to help customers. The Pharmacist and her assistance will help in any way they can.I live in Stratford but it is not just the grocery shopping ( do not really like) but the friends that make me feel welcome and like a family to be after all these years.Thank you for hiring the best employees!Gloria Z

Local store with pretty good sales but it reminds me of something from the 1960s or 70s the store manager it's kind of a peculiar person after speaking to him he warned me threaten me to stay away from one particular cashier why I've known for a number of years from another store I have always suspected that there was a possibility that she might be bipolar and one day she wants to be my personal shopper and another day she gets paranoid who can figure it so I avoid going to the store at all costs and I enjoy going to the other stores in the area I've been going to the store long before the manager of the cashier every started working there but not anymore I like ShopRite but not the Shelton Connecticut store at all very strange environment there

I had a worst experience here today. Doctor prescribed medicines to this pharmacy, we arrived there to collect them just 5 min before closing but the person over there is coming out of pharmacy in front of us. We asked whether he can help us but insanely he replies its 8 Pm. Actually speaking he was closing 5 min before. He should have told us politely saying please come tomorrow ia m closing but his tone was horrible, its like go to hell. He was least bother of others....
