I’ve fought with the doctor’s office and option care for TWO weeks. At first they claimed they never got the prescription. Then it wasn’t the right one. Then they got the right one and supposedly pharmacy would call me the next day for a delivery… then no one would return my calls. They finally called THE DOCTOR and said they’re not taking hydration patients. So now I’m scrambling to find a pharmacy that will take me and send supplies. I have no supplies for my line. Unprofessional service. The short period I was with OCH after my hospital visit was better. Got my supplies no problem and liked the nurses. But I had a similar experience with OCH in Colorado. Took so much effort on my end to get started.

My video consult was easy to understand pleasant and the telenurse was efficient and patient. My in person nurse was clinically superb, personable and thorough. I'm thankful for his help and kind manner.

I see my situation was common to some others here. We were ill prepared to administer the first antibiotic dose, and when the pick line came apart, where it shouldn’t have and I started bleeding all over my wife at the same time that the RN kids were screaming at her, and her alarm was going off, We had no ability to hold the phone correctly to involve the nurse in cleaning up And trying to put the damn thing back together. Very stressful. I have to say The nurse Supervisor did a good job of service recovery and had a nurse here in person for the next ball change which went very smoothly. That’s the start of day two with the rest of six weeks to go. I may come back and update this later in the process.

Such a helpful group of people. Super responsive and accommodating. They have made what has been a very scary time for our family much less stressful and we are so appreciative of them!

My main complaint is concerning the limited education provided to new patients who are being discharged home from the hospital. MY husband was sent home with a PICC line. I was given about 20 min. of instruction in the hospital but I never administered the drugs. I was told that a nurse would be coming to my house later that day to monitor my use of the PICC line. Instead I got a video call. I was totally stressed trying to do a pill pour for my husband, give him injections, for the first time and then have no instruction in person on how to use the PICC line. Also, the medications were delivered two hours late so my husband missed an important does of antibiotics. The RN's who came to do the dressing change and removal of the line were great. Then I received a text telling me what I owed. No explanation or invoice. I have called three times. Twice I was told that I would get an invoice in the mail in four days: that was about three weeks ago. My third call resulted in me being told that I would receive an invoice by e-mail, that was four days ago. Nothing. Billing dept. is terrible, and I have not got any great words for the way I was or was not given adequate instruction.

I have been with Option Care for about 11 years.I've gone through the highs and lows with them. It's a tough and logistically difficult industry (home infusion delivery service) that they provide.During blackouts, bad weather, holidays, and a pandemic; I have NEVER missed a dose--when I travel or vacation, they ship my infusion products to my location (my weekly delivery consists of two big and heavy boxes).I've never had a bad representative/nurse/pharmacist, nor have I ever had a problem with any of the staff. We (Option Care, my prescribing doctor, and I) work TOGETHER to keep the intricate process moving as smoothly as possible. At the same time, I believe that each patient should find the infusion service that best suits their individual situation.Thank you Option Care for making my chronic illness life easier to manage.

Patient sent home with NEW tube feeding and IV antibiotics and Option Care refused to go to the house to set up the pump or administer the IV antibiotics! They would only do teaching over the phone! Unacceptable! They better not be charging insurance for visits. Family is completely overwhelmed and need support from Option Care.

Julie K is awesome to work with. Her onboarding out me at ease. She was very thorough and easy to work with. Amy, the nurse I was assigned for my first appointment also amazing. My nurse Carrie that will take care of me throughout is great!!!The inside administration regarding coordination, communication and accuracy is AWFUL. Really scares me over the next 6 weeks of care.Week 3 and I am out of my antibiotics. They forgot to deliver this week. Life threatening mistake. I called Vicky who is the Nurse coordinator, who said she will be my contact on any problem told me to call the 800# tonight after I called her to say I’m out of drugs. - No help. The 800 # after hours is just an answering service.Do not work with this company. They are awful. Life threatening mistakes
