Stayed at this hotel a week ago, noisy people running up and down the hallway. No respect for others and I have stayed in many hotels as a traveling healthcare professional. The second night we had water dripping down, the bathroom floor and light fixtures was covered in water. Water in our luggage. We did get moved to a new room, they seemed irritated that they had to move us. When they came to the door to give us our new keys it seemed like they wanted us to stay in the room with water on the floor. They never acknowledged the disruption in the morning. So much for being a Hilton honors member. I’ll go back to Marriot.

Stayed at this hotel for its great location. However, the room was freezing due to non-functional heating and the walls were paper thin, making it hard to rest. Good location, but comfort is compromised. You get what you pay for I guess…

Place was gross, Room was in disrepair-mold in the bathroom,wallpaper peeling off,door lock falling off the door,ceiling water damaged,weird stains on the floor and the top sheet (like a white wax or clay?),Weird odors,AC controls didn't work on the wall,lamp shades had liquid stains,clocks were all wrong,shower head is limp and not aim-able,coffee nook had goo and stains,elevator makes pretty horrendous sounds,kids running up and down the hallways,no coffee in the reception area one morning,no creamer the next morning.All this and they charge 230 a night and 21 for breakfast. Stay ANYWHERE else. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.Walkability: Non existentFood & drinks: 21 dollars

We should have have turned around run when we entered the lobby which was consumed by a sports team and their families. We requested not to be roomed near this rambunctious group but to our dismay were roomed right next to the team party room. Separated by a thin adjourning room door we heard language unfitting this review, banging against the walls, doors slamming and constant arrival of team members. This noise persisted for over two hours ceasing before 11 pm In the morning there was no staff member at the desk to share this review with thus the post. While the location is convenient, as honor and vacation club members we will neither frequent or recommend this hotel. We will stay at the nearby Marriott from now on.

I want to preface this by saying this is the worst hilton hotel I've ever been to. Ive been to two Hilton hotels a week. Every week. For the past 10 months. And this is the worst one I've been to yet.The parking lot is roped off with no notice. They asked if they could downgrade my room, I asked if they were going to reimburse me. She said ok I have a room for you then.My room had no working heat in November so the room was an Ice box. Then I finally got the heat to work and it wouldn't turn off. So it was just full blast heater. I woke up 4 hours later and the room had to be 105 degrees. Turned the whole thing off and went back to an ice box. I used a hair dryer to warm up the bed. I didn't sleep much.The next morning I went to get breakfast as I'm a gold member and I get a voucher for food as a benefit. They said I don't get the benefit because I chose extra points instead? I have literally no idea what they were talking about. None of the 15 other girls I've been to as a good member said anything other than enjoy your breakfast.They refused to explain it and instead were incredibly rude to the point of being almost hostile saying I chose extra points. I didn't choose anything to my knowledge and if I don't get it I don't get it but at least explain why. they could not have cared less and accepted like I was an inconvenience for asking. I was the only one there.So then they finally move us to a room with heat. And they asked if the maintenance guy could go on my room while I was gone. I have all kinds of equipment and stuff in there so I say no. I say I'll move out to another room if you have one available yet. So they give me another room, I go to to other room to move my things and the guy goes in my room anyway.Just the absolute worst customer service I've ever seen. He had to wait 4 minutes for me to move over. And then they just stare at me like it's my fault.Never ever ever come here. There's a Hampton inn .3 miles away. Go there.

This place needs a total facelift. We stayed here for a hockey tournament and the location was the only positive thing to note. Very under staffed. The bar tender didn't know how to make a margarita and the breakfast was terrible AND $21. The beds were uncomfortable and the pool was tiny. Overall 3 stars.

The rooms are ok but costly, service is not that good as compared to Marriot on same road. The cleaning is just change of toilet paper, not the bathroom towels Or toiletries, no cleaning of table or chair in the room. The beds squeaks a lot, AC no matter what u try, works on their own the controls dont work, the TV with comcast business doesnot gives names of shows or movies ur currently watching, The coffee in the lobby was always cold and no way to reheat it. Breakfast buffet was always having same food items. Parking is good but getting out or into the hotel due to being on a junction takes time to accomplish it.

Great clean rooms! Breakfast was slow and cafeteria quality with eggs that tasted like they were powdered. Bacon was thin, floppy, greasy with little flavor. I recommend going out for food.Safety: Felt very safe to walk around,Noteworthy details: Had a nice hot tub and lobby was great for hanging out in.

The outside of this motel is very pretty. The lobby is also quite nice. Our room was disgusting. Very worn carpet, shower head sprayed water everywhere, paint peeling on ceiling, toilet seat was not attached properly, USB ports not working, hairline cracks in the bathroom sink, toilet dispenser not secured, mirror in bathroom hung crooked, tub enclosure inappropriately attached. In short the room needed a MAJOR FACELIFT! GROSS! POSITIVELY, the mattress was very nice!Rooms: See above. Time for modernizing this antiquated and dilapidated room (s).

Overall low quality stay. Rooms are clean enough and acceptable to simply sleep in; however, for the cost, the Hilton garden inn Shelton is incredibly overpriced. I stayed at the Hilton garden for a wedding and the service was poor on all metrics (I.e. horrible check in process, unfriendly, unprofessional, and poorly trained staff, mediocre service, etc.) I have stayed at many Hilton’s in the past and I am generally satisfied with them; however, I was very disappointed with this stay. I would recommend looking elsewhere and personally will not be returning.

Literally the worst hotel stay I have ever had. We showed up to check into our suite for our wedding weekend at 5 pm for them to tell us it wasn’t ready even though it was supposed to be ready at 3 pm. We had multiple guests in our wedding block ask for early check-in and was told no problem over the phone. Only to find out when they showed up it would be an additional $75. Finally when we were able to check in on Saturday the front desk employee was extremely rude and wasn’t able to figure out how to check us in so there was a huge line in the lobby. This ended up making us late to our wedding festivities. When we went up to the room there was black mold in the shower. Some of the people in our wedding block still had dirty rooms. Everything about the stay was a nightmare. We were supposed to have a brunch Sunday morning from 9am-11am. The food wasn’t ready until 9:45 and they couldn’t figure out creamer went with coffee. People from our party ended up leaving because they had planes to catch. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The staff was rude and extremely disorganized.

1. The hallways smell disgusting. As soon as I got out of the elevator on the 5th floor, I was hit with a moldy aroma that could not be ignored. I've been here for a week, and the smell has not dissipated at all.2. The cleaning is a bit inconsistent. There was a day when I came back after a long day of work, and my room had not been tidied up. I did not have any signage up that told them I didn't want service.3. The wifi signal is garbage. Even after paying the daily $5 upgrade. More than half the time, the signal is too weak for any of my devices to connect. I am not sure if this is isolated to this room.Now, I could've forgiven all of this and wouldn't have even posted a review if it wasn't for the way they handled the package I got delivered here.I am staying here for 11 nights due to a work trip. While here, I had a family member ship me some work equipment (flash drives, etc) and medication that I desperately need.For some reason, someone on staff decided to leave my package locked in some maintenance closet. However, the maintenance man left and apparently took the only keys with him!The front desk told me he was on his way.. 4 hours later, still nothing.Who's horrible idea was it to have 1 key for this closet and to have it be taken off site? That just seems like very poor management and shows a complete lack of thought and consideration.That makes absolutely zero sense!This has caused me an incredible amount of stress.And I know the company will do nothing to rectify this, as all they seem to do is apologize for their incompetence on the negative reviews they receive. They offer no reconciliation whatsoever.This is why you all have such a mediocre score on this platform, because you deserve nothing more than that.I will leave this review on every platform I can until I receive my package.*the only redeeming quality here is the friendly bartender. That guy's a gem. Yall are lucky to have him.

Nothing about this hotel was impressive. The front desk ladies were helpful but the system seemed slow at check in. My 2 days of staying I never saw house keeping and I thought that was weird. The fitness center is garbage and the coffee was terrible too. I felt this hotel was outdated and could do a lot better. I will not be staying at this hotel again and advise against it!

I regret stopping to overnight at this place. It didn't worked out from the moment I stepped into the building. First bumped at the front desk, a wait for about 10min. where the people for check in mounted, but the associates keep looking their PC and being quiet. Maybe I am wrong, but wouldn't you look up and say what's going on to the audience.... anyway, not a big deal overall, people stressed, I get it. 5th Floor, ahhh this smell. The room carries a thick smell of something, could be smocked and someone was trying to cover it up with cleaning stuff. I am speculating, but stepping in, it's definitely not a clean, fresh smell. Two beds, one cover was not fixed and hanging. On the top cover sheet, traces of some dirt. The bed sheet was ripped, hope someone does not charge me for this. The sheets were clean. The walls have some little stains from dark red/brown spots..I want to think, this is coffee and not something else. Bath was ok. Overall, room, elevator need work.. I checked with the front desk to change the room and they were friendly and willing to help, but no free rooms. I will not be back and regret stopping to overnight at this place.
