I had a great experience at the Shelton Hawley Lane Shoes. Megan was great, she understood my condition with my feet and knew what sneakers and orthotics to recommend after scanning my feet. She was very informative of the sneakers she recommended and very helpful. Will come back to buy my next pair sneakers. Thank you Megan and Hawley Lane Staff.

We’ve been supporting the store for the past 5+ years for kids shoes, even though you can find the same shoes for less money online / at other retailers, since they do a great job with fittings, and stand behind their products. But they just lost my business today after I tried to exchange a defective kids shoe and they offered no support.

Visited the store on Sun 4/21. My daughter and I took a number as requested, walked around at least 25- 20 minutes. I came to the checkout with a shoe from the clearance room. I tried to pay for them and come back because no one was available to get the other shoe for me. I was told I couldn't pay and come back because they might not find the other shoe. I then asked the cashier to please have someone who was available please get them and have them at the register when I returned. I went to home goods for over an hour, when I returned to Hawley Lane shoes, they still had not gotten the other shoe. I saw lots of other angry patiently waiting people ahead of me so at that point I just said forget it. They had no idea how much longer the wait would be. You lost a 50 dollar sale. Bottom line, don't go there on the weekend. I find the whole take a number thing a real turn off.

I went in to be fit because of my foot pain. They charged me $175. And put me in a size 9.5. I wore those in horrendous pain for a year thinking it me before I went back to Dr to find out I should be in 10.5 ex wide. They couldn't even measure right. Just sell push over priced shoes. I won't go back or recommend.

We were in the Shelton store on 4/5/24. We wanted to purchase Kizik men’s hands free shoes. There was a CLEAR sign on the back of the display at the front of the store indicating 50% off…. However there were just a few sizes available, which we totally understood. We then went online….. there was just one pair left in my size so we went ahead and purchased them at the regular price of $159.00. Today, I called the store just to see if they could help with the sale price since they r obviously a close out product…. The manager of the store totally denied there was a sign up and was incredibly rude to me on the phone…Terrible way to treat any customer but especially a loyal return customer….was so very upset at the whole interaction on the phone….but obviously this is my only way to voice our experience. I even had a $10:00 coupon but they would not even honor that. I’m grateful I found a pair online….. but will think twice before making the drive from North Haven to Shelton,

Have been a customer at Hawley Lane for years. Have always taken my grandchildren there for shoes/sneakers and have had good experiences with the salespeople that have taken care of us. They have been knowledgeable and helpful with proper, hands on fittings.Today, however, was the first time I was disappointed in our experience. The salesperson did not seem to be very knowledgeable in proper fitting and not at all helpful in putting sneakers on and off. She left that to my grandchildren who are only 5 and 6 and me. After I put the sneakers on the children she took the boxes up to the register without a "thank you" and asked me to be sure to check the inside of the new sneakers, which they were wearing, to be sure they were both the correct size.Expensive sneakers ... not the normal positive visit. Disappointing.

Problem with feet? Knees? Hips? Try getting fitted, like you actually should be, by people who know how to treat your feet… and find you the best shoe for your problem. The best thing about Hawley Lane, I have brought my whole family there, even my 89yr.old mom, and Amanda takes great care of us all… AND DOESNT PUSH A SALE! We used to see Carol, who was amazing, but Amanda is FANTASTIC! She’s knowledgeable, knows how a shoe should fit and feel, and she will not sell you something you don’t feel comfortable in or doesn’t look right on your feet.Prices of good quality shoes are just that! You get what you pay for. Same prices that are online… but you can try them on!Go to Hawley Lane in Shelton. They’re friendly and know how to fit your feet!

I went there for a specific type of shoe and was pleased with the variety and exceptional assistance from the sales team(Amanda). I know I walked out with the exact shoe for my travels with the right amount of support.
