Love BigY grocery stores. I live in PA and my daughter lives in CT. The Big Y's in CT are a gem compared to the Giant grocery stores in central PA.
What a pleasure it is shopping there.

Big Y is my preferred grocery store over the two other large-chain stores in my area. Nice selection of prepared foods along with traditional grocery items.

Don’t know what’s happened to this store. It seems they are not carrying more and more items that they used to and many times the shelves are not stocked (and these are for items not on sale) it’s very disappointing. This is not new as it’s been a problem for over a year. I live in Shelton but have had to go to Stratford Big Y to get items Shelton should be carrying. The Shelton service people in the meat dept as well as the cashiers and Self checkout are fantastic which is why the rating is higher.

Easy to park, wheelchair accessible, good prices the specials were in stock,clean store I have never had to wait long at checkout many registers open.
