Poorly managed, rude (!!) cashiers, overpriced!!! Jam, which is not part of this store, is wonderful. It’s too bad they have to be part of such a terrible grocery store.

This is almost like several different stores in one. You have your grocery with vegetables and shelf stable items. You have a sushi stand. There's a seafood counter with seasoning right in front. I hear you can get a sandwich towards the back. There are beautiful flowers in a cooler. You pay for everything at the register up front. It's an absolutely perfect store for a small town with a little bit of everything, even socks. Parking is pretty ample, it shares a plaza with USPS, a restaurant, and several other stores. You are encouraged to bring in your own bags.

Went out of my way as I knew they sold pork belly. Noon on a Sunday. No one at the meat counter. Told by multiple employees they could NOT help as the meat department is "rented" out and Chris is missing. If no one plans on being at the counter, wrap it up and put it on the shelf...What other parts of this store are "rented" out. Who takes responsibility??? Also, bloody Mary mix on the shelf that expired in 2022.

What an amazing market in this rural part of Connecticut! We'd been staying near Millerton, NY, across the border, but had heard about this market and decided to give it a try. It would be amazing in an urban area, unbelievable in a rural area. Great produce section, with lots of organic produce, excellent selection of seafood--we picked up some salmon fillets and tuna steaks, and the man behind the counter was extra helpful--great selection of breads, good bulk selection--with an oil and vinegar bar for refilling--and a variety of ethnic foods, with an Asian bias. I couldn't believe that they had gyoza skins and a small selection of mochi (with some imported from overseas)! Definitely worth the drive to this market! Unlike anything else in the area.

The food was good but at the fish counter, they had 2 lobsters just sitting out in the open air - not in a water tank like they should be. It was incredibly cruel and the lobsters were foaming at the mouth. They need to keep the lobsters in tanks.

Needs to be cleaned up a bit around much of the store. Especially, around the produce department and the Sushi area. The Staff is friendly at the checkout. Other stocking staff on the floor really can't help you too much with a question as they don't really understand what you are asking what you need. This can be very frustrating when you really need to get a specific item and get out very quickly when you are cramped for time. So basically, you leave without getting what you need. Bummer really!

Very good seafood, baked goods and prepared foods from Jam. Prices are very high though throughout the store. They have wonderful bunches of fresh spinach but the price has doubled as have many produce prices. And now they play very loud unbearable music - there's no escaping it - freshtown in Amenia does the same.
