Untrustworthy,dishonest,pretentious. A home I live in which is currently for sale was poorly represented by this company. I was robbed during a showing and they took no responsibility; not even an apology. We had an understanding regarding vetting and advance notice of showings. They didn't honor our agreement. Avoid this company.

Where to start? First of all, Elyse Harney Real Estate has an amazing reputation in the tri-state (NY, CT, MA) area. So naturally, they were the first (and only) real estate firm I called to list my house in Millerton, NY (and no, not a million or multi-million dollar home). Obviously, like anything, it depends on the agent you get and I was fortunate enough to get Tracy Macgowan. Tracy is like no other real estate agent I have ever worked with (and I've had many in both NY and California). Tracy went out of her way to calm my nerves and worries. Tracy is incredibly knowledgeable about the market and even suggested a higher price than I thought, and we got the price she suggested! Tracy is very communicative which I absolutely appreciate. And best of all Tracy is a fantastic negotiator. Honestly, I cannot say enough about how amazing she is. As long as I am alive and in the area Tracy will be my real estate agent (and friend).

A year ago, we spent the better part of the afternoon sitting out front of the White Hart catching up with Elyse Morris and telling her that after five years of on and off looking, we were really ready to buy. The fact that she and John Panzer still took our phone calls after all this time, probably says it all. They didn’t just want to sell us a house, they wanted to help us buy the house that was right for us.Having only ever owned apartments, buying a house, let alone buying a house from afar, was a daunting process. We knew nothing about furnaces, roofs, annual landscaping costs, and the list goes on. John and Elyse went above and beyond, pointing out potential issues, educating us on the pros and cons of various heating and cooling systems and helping to entertain our children as we toured houses.Alas, when we did find the right house all did not go smoothly and again John and Elyse stepped up to the plate, keeping both parties engaged in a deal that could have easily fallen apart and helping to oversee the installation of a new septic system prior to closing.We have been the happy owner of a CT weekend house for the past seven months and while we don’t expect to ever leave this home, if we do, John and Elyse will be our first call.

There are so many wonderful adjectives in the English language that I could use to describe Roberta Green of Elyse Harney Real Estate, but here are just a few to start. Knowledgeable, honest, and professional are the first three that come to mind. She is extremely knowledgeable of all the local Realestate laws, local inspectors, lawyers, and anything else you'll need to know to get started on your home buying adventure. She is honest, and very forthcoming with everything she knows about the property listing. My wife and I always felt that her advice was in our best interest. She even hired an independent contractor to inspect the roof of the house for her peace of mind as well as ours. She is always professional and courteous while bringing a fun sense of humor with her to every showing.Buying your first home can be very intimidating but meeting Roberta and having her on our side throughout the entire process made the experience fun and exciting. The way buying your first home should be. I will always recommend her services, highly.

We cannot recommend Elyse and her team more highly. We just closed on our new home in Litchfield and are over the moon. The process up until we started working with Elyse was truly painful we went through 4 brokers whose interest in our search bordered on the non existent at best. We were truly fortunate to find Elyse through a friend and her professionalism, interest and attention to detail made all the difference.We found our future home in early June and closed in early August. Working with Elyse and her team during that time was a true pleasure. We always felt we were in great hands throughout the whole process. Home buying can be a daunting endeavor but not when you work with Elyse and her team, they are really the best in the entire area I will not work with anyone else in the future.

We were interested in buying a working farm with large acreage at a location convenient to both Boston and New York. Elyse Harney Morris and her team did an excellent job of finding properties for us to consider, spending a lot of time on site getting familiar with the land and the building structures, and navigating the complicated regulations around local regulations and environmental concerns. And it is always totally wonderful to spend a day with Elyse. Our recent purchase required a great deal of patience and also active management of the closing process. Elyse was clearly our advocate and we appreciated her insights on bidding and negotiation. All in all, a very successful experience.
