I purchased my home 3 years ago and bought with CHFA's Down payment assistance program they assisted me with the down payment and closing cost because I didn't want to use all of my savings, the house we were buying needed some updating, but needless to say, the whole experience was not only seamless but as a housing counselor who works with assisting potential home buyers with the process, buying a home myself was still a worry-some process. But the team I had that assisted me and guide me were phenomenal!!!. CHFA was an easy non stressful team to work with. I always recommend and refer my customer to lenders who work with all CHFA Products, especially to take the opportunity in the Time to Own Program and assist future homeowners with the same dream in becoming homeowners. Thank you CHFA!!! and their team and partners

I am a local lender and these folks run a fantastic service for First Time Homebuyers. Get yourself a good lender and work with them to get pre approved. I can walk you through the process. Michael Shea - Movement Mortgage NMLS 1041696

Sent them an email months ago via their website and they NEVER RESPONDED. Tried to get information online Tenant information for the LIHTC program - very little available for tenant but plenty for developers/property managers. Granted there is a pandemic but CHFA needs to cater to those who need information about Affordable Housing (LIHTC).

This agency screws multifamily homeowners over by unfairly and heartlessly refusing to accept certain forms of income paid by the government, namely HUD's Section 8 program, claiming its unreliable income and not eligible for their emergency assistance, thereby assisting unscrupulous banks and mortgage brokers in stealing homes from people who are by no means rich and accept those vouchers on behalf of the tenants they rent to. So not only does EMAP screw homeowners over but Section 8 screws landlords over by refusing to pay fair market value in rent while demanding landlords provide above standard housing but provide no assistance for maintenance/repairs, they also don't screen the people they pay rent for shoving that off on landlords as well and they don't pay for damages done by the tenants they pay rent for. And the EMAP Program can refuse to accept Section 8 as reliable income meaning once again the landlords are screwed and there IS NO INCENTIVE to risk your property and income by continuing to accept low rent for bad tenants.

Had an absolutely awful experience. The woman whom answers the phones is extremely rude and shouldn't be working in customer service. Worst customer service call I have ever experienced. I called back and made a claimant to the manager. This woman should learn manners and be retrained on phone etiquette. If this is how this company conducts business I would not recommend to anyone.
