This pharmacy has a wonderful and professional staff. I see these bad reviews and I don't get it.This one pharmacy services almost the entire town plus surrounding areas in NY state which have almost zilch Yes! Mistakes can happen and things don't always go over perfectly but rarely is it the result of the staff themselves. Put yourself in their shoes serving as many people as this place does before getting all mad.

CVS Pharmacy, Main St., Ridgefield had my RX for over two weeks. Initially they texted me that they had to call my Dr., then when I stopped by to ask what the problem was they asked if I wanted them to order the medication! At no time did they reach out to me to say they could not find the medication which was prescribed. I finally told them to hold off, made a call to Walgreens in Ridgefield who had the med and transferred the RX the same day. This CVS pharmacy is woefully understaffed and not able to manage the workload with any type of care. Not fair to the pharmacists who have to work in this environment.

George in the Pharmacy Dept. was both professional and beyond helpful!! I see other reviews and I know staffing is a challenge these days but I truly have had great experiences at this location and only have good things to say - it is my go-to spot!

On hold for 53 minutes. Always long lines and miscommunication with providers. Finally decided to switch to rite aid. No reason to continue to be tormented trying to pick up medicine.

DON'T SEND YOUR PERSCRIPTIONS HERE! They take over 24hrs to full-fill a prescription and never answer their phones either. This happens almost every time I have a prescription sent to this pharmacy. I ended up calling CVS in New Canaan and having them transfer it to their location instead as they have an 1hr wait instead of 8-24hrs!!

What a disaster of a store... Especially the pharmacy. Go ANYWHERE else and save your time and aggravation

This CVS is understaffed at the pharmacy. I waited in-line for 30 minutes for a consultation with the pharmacist and left before I could speak with the pharmacist. There were other people in line ahead of me that had been waiting to have their prescriptions filled for over a week. One elderly gentleman in front of me was able to talk to the pharmacist and then proceeded to go to the pick-up line which looked like it was also a 30 minute wait. He must have spent an hour standing in line to get a prescription fill that he was waiting a week to get.As I was waiting in line, I could hear the "there are people calling the pharmacy" announcements for the pharmacists, but they were too busy filling prescriptions to answer the calls. The following day, I got lucky and was able to speak to the pharmacist by phone to ask why my prescription was on hold. He first saw that the CVS system said my prescription was set to be filled in three months and thought that I had picked up the prescription. When I said that it was on hold and I didn't pick up the prescription, the pharmacist told me that insurance was rejecting my prescription for prior authorization.I called my insurance company. The representative said no claim was made by CVS and there was no prior authorization required. Thus, according to my insurance representative, CVS put my prescription on hold without submitting it to insurance. It is hard for me to dispute my insurance company's claim that CVS erred since talking with the pharmacist is practically impossible. The insurance company tried to call the pharmacy to clear up the issue with me on the line. The insurance representative gave up after 22 minutes on hold.I'm pretty sure CVS could increase revenue at this location if they were to hire additional pharmacists, but it seems that CVS's goal is to work the pharmacists until they drop or until all the customers leave for a competitor down the street. Please help out the pharmacists and technicians at the Ridgefield Main Street CVS by going to Bissel, Rite-Aid or Walgreens. The employees here need some relief from their overwhelming workload.

Just waited on hold for ONE HOUR to talk to a pharmacist about prescriptions sent to this location today 30 mins before they opened. The woman that answered (3 hours after prescriptions were sent) told me there was no record of them on my account. After calling my doctors, who confirmed they had been sent properly, I asked them to switch to Walgreens (according to them, Rite Aid is having problems too.) Moral of the story, I've taken my business elsewhere.... Shame on you, CVS!

This pharmacy is a mockery. The rest of the store is fine enough but something is comically dysfunctional back at the pharmacy I'm looking for a new option.

Here's how this works. They send you a text that your prescription is ready. That is just to get you there. THEN after waiting on line to pick up the RX they tell you they will now "expedite" it and should be ready in an hour. "We don't know where those texts come from, call CVS.com". Understaffed and overworked. Next prescription goes to Paul's Pharmacy.

What can I say other than —SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS! The pharmacy and some of the employees -specifically the Pharmacist, are incompetent and extremely rude. Wait times are frustratingly long — in person and on the phone. Being on hold for 10-20 min is just ridiculous. I’ve been hung up on several times as well. Never using this CVS branch again.

The head pharmacist is a rude dullard who will not spare a millisecond if that is what's required to give an accurate answer to your question. And....if there is any kind of glitch in proccessing your Rx he will not investigate; it's your problem even when in the end it turns out to be his fault.

Unlike any other CVS I've ever been to. The pharmacy won't fill a prescription if it's not covered by insurance and never notifies you. It just keeps saying "in process." They cancelled my vaccine appointment even though the product was in stock and other people were getting it, then they couldn't reschedule the appointment (and this happened to two other people in line ahead of me). The one time I asked for advice in selecting something (a prenatal vitamin) the pharmacist pointed me to the section of the store and said, "they're over there." When I pressed for a recommendation, he picked one and said, "This is fine." Except my doctor later explained it was the only one without DHA. I had no idea and the pharmacist never talked to me about any options. I'd give zero stars if I could.

complete mess and disaster, 2 out of 3 times prescribed medications are not ready for computer issues or similar and one has to wait 30 minutes or longer to get them to have things ready, I mean usually when I go there I have at least on sick child to take care off and another one that is hungry, if. Dr. sends in a prescription in the morning and you are not able to fill it by 5pm, you are just failing as a pharmacy

The pharmacy is the part of CVS that deserves a negative review . I really don’t know how these people get to stand behind the counter with all those drugs .. scary . I just needed amoxicillin for my baby and they said “ we have not had any for 4 months “ . What ?! Tells me to call rite aid or Walgreens and ask them . What? Huh? I don’t fill there . Gave me a replacement for 200 bucks . The head pharmacist is the worst . Fire him and get your act together
