“I dont even live in Portland, and I come out here to enjoy the PHENOMENAL customer service and care that is displayed by both store associates and the pharmacy is run like a well-oiled machine, with equally Phenomenal people behind the counter there as well. The store is ALWAYS clean, and fully stocked; cant say enough about how wonderful this location is!! Whoever trained this store's employees should take a trip to the middletown location, where the customer service is non existent and the pharmacy is a crap-show. Portland Walgreens is AMAZING!!!! FULL STOP!!!”

They have everything needed and if you need something they don't have just ask and they may add it to there store. “Lost my card and the gas attendant was more than happy to help, and someone else's receipt was jammed and they didn't report it so I had to deal with it and he had to write me out a receipt with no problem. Nice person to talk to. He let me know that Sam's Club closes at 8pm that day, and the Sam's Gas Station closes at 9pm, as I asked was telling him now I gotta go get a card printed out. I don't know how I lost it, but he was helpful instead of me wasting more time. Many use that station so things will get worn especially the rubber wheels instead of silicone wheels as rubber is natural and deteriorates and becomes hard, and losses it's grip, especially subjected to the weather and temperatures.
I think Sam's Club is superb, but wish that these places you have to pay a membership for and I have the higher membership for the extra benefits. You can go in 2 hours earlier but not stay 2 hours later, or an hour later. Well those membership places must have their reasons. Probably because they can't be watching for customers when they are using forklifts, so in that way they are looking out for the customer by having a safety time. They must clean and stock before the next morning.
Though I wish there was a way they could stay open 24/7 & maybe 'Block' sections till done with a white board that says how long it would be till that roped, or guarded section will open, instead of keeping It closed between the time they close till open.
Walmart doesn't block sections but the pallets they wheel by hand do. They don't care about their customers only money, as if they didn't have enough. they don't have breaks really well as they pull a big load, and I have to watch out as they are told to rush. Glad you don't have to pay for a membership there but it reflects in them putting things in places with a tag you need a magnifier or smartphone to take pictures to read. Told then about it, went back another day and they still didn't change it. Even though they are open till 11pm I like Sam's much better. At least they have furniture you can rest on. It is a warehouse. They seem more comfortable that way don't you think ? ? ??? OH the Humanity!”

“My wife and I recently moved to Higganum, CT and just now discovered Higganum Hardware. The owners, two brothers, Taylor and Jarrett, opened the store in fall 2021. While young, they are dedicated to customer service and a huge variety of everything from nuts and bolts to Ben Moore Paints, to equipment...a huge variety of quality hardware goods. I asked them, what encouraged them to open the store...the answer, We looked at what Higganum needed and did not have...a Hardware Store. While we believe in the saying SHOP LOCAL, you also want high quality products, good service and location close to where you live and or work. Higganum Hardware fits all three. Go in once, you will choose Higganum Hardware as your go to store again and again. Simply the Best as Tina would say. Julian”

“I went here to get checked for covid, because my provider from Starling Physician in New Britain wouldn't do it. I was dealing with another issue, but because of my sore throat, Starling was not willing to see me, until my results were clear.
I went to the clinic here in Rocky Hill. The nurse was very friendly. I went there when it was time for her lunch break, she was helpful. I put my info in the kiosk and waited until she was finished with her break. The experience with the nurse was positive. I definitely recommend this place.”

“This past week I was trying to organize a lobster bake for the 4th of July down at the shore. Having called quite a few places it seemed Price Chopper had the best deal. My concern was that they would run out. I called and asked them if they would hold 20 lobsters for me. Initially on the first call they said they don’t hold lobsters however there should be plenty. I then hung up the phone and called back and asked them when a good time to come in and get said lobster would be. I was then told we could only get 6. Long story short there was a miscommunication amongst employees. However after speaking to the manger they promised me 20 since there was a misunderstanding. Long story short I got 20 lobsters and I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to Steve L. He went above and beyond to assist me. He was patient, friendly and so kind. He is an absolutely wonderful employee. Not only did he take the time to help with ice and packing but also helped me out to my car with the cooler full of lobsters. Steve L if you read this, I can not thank you enough for making my friends and families 4th of July celebration so amazing. You truly were the catalyst for making us all have such a special celebration and day. “They have been very understanding every time I come in to get my dog, Sabrina's medication. It is funny to have a new pharmacy tech when they ask for an ID for my dog until I let them know she's a dog. The seasoned pharmacist enjoys the interaction as much as I do. We just smile at each other and he reminds him it says canine.”

I'm a couple times that I've gone to ShopRite I absolutely had the best time shopping. I am disabled so I rely on those motorized carts. “New Cromwell resident. Came to Stop n Shop from Walgreens. Pharmacy transferred all our prescriptions (at least 20) same day. I have a medically complex child and 2 insurance companies. We are always changing meds. This requires many approvals. I have never had one complaint from the staff. They treat us like we are their only customer. Never received service like this before. It is so overwhelming with all the denials but I never have to do the work. They push for us until our meds are approved. Always greeted by 1st name, a Top notch Pharmacy!”

“I have been to this Price Chopper location a couple of times now. It is not as grand as something like Whole Foods, but it is convenient for those in Middletown-area.Upon coming in you are greeted on your left by the Sushi section, which is always nice and fresh. In my opinion, the best aspect of this supermarket. Nearby they have grab-and-go options like fried chicken and sandwiches. None of them are the freshest looking though and they have a lot of sodium. The salads here are average.The main section of the supermarket where you can get your traditional supermarket items like cereal, water, fruit, etc. is well-stocked and clean, which is nice.The checkouts usually move fast unless you come in the afternoon on a weekend. Otherwise, check is pretty quick and easy. There is also self-checkout options.The parking lot here is very large with plenty of parking, which is nice!Altogether, Price Chopper is your traditional supermarket, but the prices are good and the location is clean with a good variety of products.”

“I've been a customer at several big chain pharmacies hoping to find one with decent customer service with no avail! They were all the same. One day, I decided to switch to Hancock Pharmacy, and the service was surprisingly excellent! The employees are customer focused. They work with you to make sure your medications are filled on time every time. If there's a problem with your refill, they will guide you on how to proceed to solve the problem.
When you call, you get to speak to a pharmacy representative quickly. They call or text, and even both, to inform you that your medication is ready for pick up. You don't have to wait in line only to find out your medication isn't ready. As a matter of fact, there has never been a line, maybe one or two customers, the most. You never have to look at your watch. They address you as soon as you enter. They have the right formula, and they follow it.
The bottom line: you will not be disappointed and may find yourself less stressed.”

“Confusing at first. Doctor has to write a prescription to HANCOCK Surgical not Hancock pharmacy. Hancock gets a lot of business from assisted livings because of their med management . They put meds in blister pac. I live in assisted living. Why are they going to Hancock. That’s why!They gave me veteran break at Atria Larson place assisted living.”

“Decided to come on here and give this Walgreens 5 stars because of what I witnessed the staff dealing with this morning. It wasn’t even 9am and there was a man yelling at the manager because he perceived a staff member was rude to him the other day. He demanded she “do something about it or I’m going to go to corporate.” The manager was so polite with him and he was being an absolutely vile human being towards her. If an employee was rude to him, I can only imagine why, he seems like such a joy to be around ? I just want to say that corporations should not be tolerating this behavior from customers. I wish the manager had the ability to kick the customer out for his hostile behavior but from what I know having worked in retail, she would’ve been chastised for that. Consumers: do better!!! How dare you speak to other people that way?! I was appalled and sad for them.”
