They were very quick to get my cat in, the visit in itself was great. The were very thorough and took great care of Sushi. The reason for the 2 stars is their lack of follow through and communication. I had explained the need to get my cat neutered ASAP, I was told when I scheduled the appointment I would get a quote then, then at the appointment I would get it by end of week (this was last Wednesday) then Monday I was told I would get it by end of day Tuesday. It is now Thursday and there has been zero communication and I still have yet to receive a quote. Due to this alone, I will be going elsewhere for my pets healthcare, which is a shame because I really did like them.

We pass about 3 animal hospitals to come to this one. Genuinely friendly staff who are great with animals (and humans too)! One of the vet techs Pam is amazing! We took our dog here and they swiftly brought her back up to speed with a fair price and clear aftercare instructions. They looked out for her like it was one of their own dogs. Couldn't be happier

Unfortunately I didn’t even get past the front desk & I dont ever want to go back. I had to wait 5 weeks for an initial appt & they charged me the $85 appt fee when I scheduled. They had earlier appointments but they were only available for “established” pets. I showed up for my 8am appt to be told they tried to call me (20 min ago) to reschedule cuz the vets daughter was sick. I explained that I took the day off of work for the appt & was told to come back in an hr when the other vet started her shift. When I asked if she’d see me at 9am I was told they’d call me at 9am instead. At 10am I hadn’t heard anything & called. I was told I’d essentially have to sit on standby thru the afternoon to see if the other vet had availability. At that point I requested a refund of the $85 I’d paid 5 wks ago. Now I’m stuck waiting another 6-8 wks for another “initial” appointment with a different vet. The complete disregard for my time made me never want to step foot in there again.
And even more ridiculous was I asked if someone could at least trim my dogs nails & was told they couldn’t touch him unless he was an “existing” patient. I could literally walk into any dog groomer & they’d trim his nails but a vet tech can’t? Terrible customer service! Seems they only care about the money but not about your pet or your time.

Always the staff at Ragged Mtn Animal Hosp where I take Tico are pleasant and professional. He likes to growl and generally be a pain at times but noone there lets him get the upper hand, he is funny but after the intial momnot again he is okay.

This place is amazing. We have a very high anxiety pit mix dog named Ted and he did so well here. The Dr was so sweet and took her time with him and us. The front desk came out to greet Ted and the technician was also so nice. It is obvious to me that everyone who works here sincerely loves animals. Today was our first visit and we are thrilled we found a great place that we trust to bring Ted.

I want to start by saying I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, however ragged mountain animal vet is that good — they deserve every positive review written. Every staff member is super personable, showed great care for my cat, and did every aspect of the visit right in front of me. (Unlike another plainville vet that back in 12/23 still observed Covid precautions leaving owners in the car waiting for the pet). Less than 24 hours after the appt I was called with blood results, while I was not able to answer the phone- Anthony went above and beyond both leaving a detailed review of the labs and texting me to ensure I knew all was well with my pet. The involvement in my pets care and passion the staff display for their field let me know I’ve found an amazing local vet I (my cat) will continue to use in the future. Thanks again Dr. Shapiro, Anthony and everyone at ragged mountain vet for all that you do!

I've been taking my pets here for 17 years and they're always great with them and treat them like they're one of their own. My newest fur baby Finn loves the staff and the Drs. They are great

I took my dog here on Jan 11,2024, for a second opinion after being suggested by a Vet Hospital to euthanize him! Best decision I've ever made! Dr. Shapiro is amazing! As soon as she walked in the room to see him she said he does not look like he is in grave state as noted in the medical records from the Vet Hospital. Dr. Shapiro said he has Degenerative Disc Disease and would like to treat it with pain management meds and laser therapy before considering surgery. My dog started to show improvement quickly. He went from being limp in all four limbs to running for the first time on Jan 24, 2024. The whole experience at Ragged Mountain was like day and night compared to the way we were treated at the Vet Hospital. The entire team from receptionist to the aids are amazing and compassionate. I am forever grateful to Dr. Shapiro and her team.
