This establishment requires far too much personal and sensitive information that they then demand vulnerable people to sign away via a release form (to all sorts of other entities). One must sell their soul for scraps (and they're not even responsible if you get ill from consuming or using said scraps). Horrible system. You cannot simply just show up if you're starving, sorry.

It is the worst place to look for help the woman is racist she discriminates against people just because you don't live in the area food share they should change places to distribute the food

this place is all about giving to those in need in plainville ct. they have so many ways they help the people who need the help. school supplies for the school kids and new clothes for them, the families are giving a turkey or ham and all the fixing for the holiday's,. they supply the families with birthday party things for the kids, and my all time favorite is the secret santa. you pick out a child, you get the first name only and the family number and on the folder paper you get it says the child's age, favorite color, clothes size and also two things they really want for christmas. I always pick two children and i buy more than what is on the list. i probably go over board but isn't that what christmas is about. making a childs christmas special

Showed up starving. During proper business hours. I told them I was homeless, but because my driver's license has a New Britain address... They turned me away. As if I couldn't feel worse. To make it worse, the first lady called over another women to still say no. This place doesn't care about the hungry or homeless.i just needed a snack at the least. Forgot to mention these were two grey haired women... I thought they'd be sympathetic. My advice to you is don't go somewhere that won't help. For God sakes, I haven't lived in New Britain for ages. I don't think they know what homeless means.

came there for help seeing i lived and graduated in plainville, my parents were there for nearly twenty years, while i understand that this service is for the plainville residents, i asked, i said i have a ten year old child, and then i begged for food , that was so embarrassing , well the lady sent me on my way with disregard about some ones well being, just would not budge from the rules ,so it was so hard seeing all that food on the shelf, and not being able to feed my family, and left to fend for myself, this is a terrible thing to treat someone like that, how would you like it and what should i do when you bang on my door for help, and i turn your hungry family away, this is not what i expected from a community service, and i am ashamed to call plainville my home town, what a slap in the face, for only living here for twenty years, let me tell you, if you asked me for help i would not care what planet ,state, or country you came from, i will give what i have, even if its my last cookie ,i would give it up and not turn away someone in need, even if we had to not eat , it would not matter, that family may just need that cookie, more than my family , you should be ashamed, no one should leave hungry, that is why you are there. disappointed in my home town, thanks for your care and support, dont bother with a reply i do not expect one anyway.

I have had so much help from this place it's unbelievable and I truly wouldn't know what I would do without there help. I love Jerry there, she's awesome and the help they have is awesome. Love Bill! But my only negative remark would be Mildred, I am always nice to her but the way she speaks to me is always so rude. I don't know why but everytime I have to deal with her she's never pleasant. Don't understand it. I always hope Jerry picks up the phone because she always goes out of her way to think of my family and is always pleasant.
