M&T closed the branch and ATM in Litchfield, CT. The closest M&T branch and ATM is now a 25+minute car ride. There are several other banjs in Litchfield. Like many ither customers I am closing my M&T accounts.

No sure what the issue is with the atm but my peoples card had always worked fine. Very friendly staff I have no issues with this branch.

Stay away from this branch ever since they took over Farmington bank. Nothing but problems. The atm is always broken but no sign or notification it’s broken so just eats your money and checks and cancels and you are left without your money. I have been battling them for a week to get my money that was eaten by the atm. Hours on the phone with no resolution. They keep reaching out the the branch in order for me to receive my money and they just keep ignoring every message. I’m disgusted. People have bills and mouths to feed and instead of fixing THEIR WRONG I get a smirk and a “ya that’s been happening” where’s my money!

Do not waste your time visiting this ATM!!! It never works and they never fix it! Since they switched from Farmington Bank, I have had nothing but horrible experience at this branch. Especially their ATM! Go to Stop & Shop in New Britain, since that's the next closest ATM. For shame... You guys should have that figured out by now. Done with this branch...

This review pertains to my experience with this branch and the call center. It started with two counts of fraud on my account. I called the call center and they told me that the charges would process the next day and I could visit any branch the next day to complete the claim. He also canceled my debit card and told me I would be issued a new one. The next day I visited the branch and they said both payments were processing so they couldn't do anything yet. I called the call center back and they said that sometimes it takes a bit longer so to see if it processes the next day. This morning I called when I woke up and was told that one of the payments cleared so I could file the first claim. I went back to the Plainville branch and they told me that they couldn't do anything because the payment was still processing. I explained my conversation with the call center but they just kept telling me to call the call center. I went home and called once more, this time asking for a supervisor. I got connected to one and vented my frustration. She told me that the Plainville branch was wrong and could file the claim. I then went to the Southington Stop and Shop location and they must store fairy dust there because he completed the claim in five minutes. He also informed me that no one put in a request for me to get a new debit card even though the first call center person told me they did. Before I wrote this review I gave Plainville one more chance. I walked in the branch with the freshly printed claim and asked why they didn't help me. Why were they so quick to dismiss me? I asked these questions to the supervisor there and she said "I dont know. Maybe we have to train our staff better on these transactions." Wow. Profound. Banks have two jobs. Keep your money safe and provide quality customer service in such a saturated market. Great job; you failed at both. Now you can decide if this is the kind of bank worth investing in.

They are the worst! They don't greet you when u walk in , too busy talking about their plans for the weekend. They put up on the coin machine a half hour before they close so they don't have to tallied it for the day!

I was a member of Farmington Bank for several years, the customer service there was excellent and services provided top notch. Unfortunately Peoples Bank purchased Farmington Bank, and my experiance with them thus far as been poor. From rude and unhelpful tellers to new fees on existing accounts, I am not happy. It's unfortunate that my mortgage is through them as I'd happily close all of my accounts with them in a heart beat.

i am very dissatisfied with People's United Bank financial services and operations. I recommend not investing your time and money with this financial institution, it is more of a divestment than an investment.
