I purchased over $100.00 worth of miscellaneous hardware items at the Plainville, CT Lowe's store today. Very disappointed to learn there are NO SHOPPING BAGS provided to carry all your purchases to your car!! Are you kidding me? I'm supposed to take them all to the car in a shopping cart, place them in the trunk and have them roll all around the back of the car? What ever happened to the concept of "customer service"? As it is, you're never greeted by ANY employes in the store. Now, no shopping bags. My suggestion? FIRE the incompetent Store Manager and hire one that puts customers first!!

Let me start by saying Lowe's home improvement is BELOW Zero Stars! I purchased a Zoeller pump at the end of October, at the time of purchase I asked if returning after 90 days would be a problem because of the holidays and they said "not a problem at all". I went to return the pump today and they said they can't because of the new policy that started January first. I get you want to update your policies but if the purchase was made prior to this change the customer should be grandfathered in! I mean we are talking 10 days here not months! I will never recommend lowe's to anyone. Save your self trouble stay out of Lowe's in Plsinville,CT! It's a complete waist of time and the store managers are No help at all! I have bought 3 appliances from here and now I will never go to Lowe's again, Home Depot here we come!

Store Manager is unprofessional and unsympathetic. Bought a paint September 2023 that I was unable to use, until Feb 2024, due to circumstances and the unexpected things the occur in the life. When I went to use it, the paint had clumped. It was stored properly, but not sure what happened. Evidently, the paint was faulty. So, I brought it back to the Plainville, CT Store to get it remixed; and unfortunately, it didn’t help. I was told by the paint folks that the paint wasn’t any good, but couldn’t help me, not even exchange it. I went over to the service desk and spoke with, who I thought was the Store Manager, and she was not interested in listening. She was unfriendly and unwilling to resolve the issue. She suggested to buy a new paint. The paint is Valspar and a small can cost about $30. So, in other words, her suggestion was take a lost, even if, the damaged paint is out of your control. When I asked to speak to someone in higher position that can help, she claimed to be the highest, Store Manager. When I asked for a General Manager she claimed that was her position as well, which didn’t make sense. She ended with stating to call Valspar to resolve the issue, because there was nothing she can do, after 90 days of the return policy. The lack of customer care from this Store Manager is unacceptable and I will be filing a complaint against. As if that wasn’t enough, I call the plainville store to ask her name, after I left, and come to find out she is an assistant manager. She lied about her title. I spoke with her, again, and asked for her name and she refused to provide it and said, she doesn’t give her name last name and goes by Dee. This goes to show the type of staff in charge of the store. Lowe is an expense store for home improvement and it is quite disappointing to receive this type of customer care.

They are not organized and they are not helpful. They give you your order outside and then you don't find anyone to help you. They are really not good. I bought a lot of things from them and they left me and went and no one helped me to take them to my minivan. When you finish carrying your order to the pickup truck, they tell you that it is an extra fee, so you have to take it out of your car and return it to them. I will never visit this place againI hesitated to go to Home Depot or Lowes, but unfortunately I had a bad experience and from now on I will go to Home Depot

After replacing my home oil tank I needed a piped thredded. I went to all of the other competitors with no luck. between the machine not working write or that they dont know how to use the machine I had enough. Finally I took the trip to lowes. Dee and her associate John were great. He definitely saved us as we needed our hot water asap after a job like that. Not the prettiest job but it's done. Thank you lowes for all that guys do to help me complete my projects. Special thanks to John for being so thorough. Precision customer assistance. Ty

Unfortunately, they don't stock the whole project like HD. Lowes offers more expensive special orders. Had to go elsewhere for stock materials. Their install basic fee model for doors quadrupled in price and is way expensive now. We r making their installers millionaires, and competitive labor isn't at Lowes, not in this economy for customers.

Lowe's is not where I normally go for materials but it is a good place to get most home improvement materials. Pricing is comparable to home Depot for sure.

The decision to upgrade my kitchen appliances was met with enthusiasm, and I turned to Lowe's, a reputable home improvement retailer, to fulfill my needs. Excitement filled the air as I browsed through the various options on their website, carefully selecting a sleek stove, a modern microwave, and a spacious refrigerator. The anticipation of a revamped kitchen and improved cooking experience was palpable. The transaction was smooth, and the online checkout process left me confident that the appliances would soon be gracing my home. The delivery date was set for a sunny Friday morning, giving me plenty of time to clear space and prepare for the arrival of the new additions.Friday arrived, and I woke up early, eager to see the transformation unfold. However, as the hours ticked away, there was no sign of the delivery truck. Anxiety gnawed at me, and I kept my phone close, expecting a call or a notification from Lowe's with an update on the delivery status. As the day progressed, my excitement turned into frustration and disappointment. I decided to reach out to Lowe's customer service to inquire about the delay. The representative on the line was sympathetic and understanding, explaining that there had been a logistical hiccup that resulted in the delay. They assured me that the appliances were en route and would arrive as soon as possible. While I appreciated their honesty, the change in plans had thrown off my entire day's schedule. Finally, in the late afternoon, a delivery truck pulled up to my driveway. My heart leaped with excitement as I anticipated the arrival of my new appliances. However, my excitement quickly turned to bewilderment as I watched the delivery team unload the stove, microwave, and fridge onto my driveway, without any intention of installing them inside.I rushed outside, a mixture of confusion and frustration coursing through me. The delivery team explained that due to time constraints and other deliveries, they were instructed to drop off the appliances at my location. Shocked and disappointed, I questioned their decision, explaining that I had paid for delivery and installation services, expecting a professional team to set up the appliances in their rightful places. And they kept saying we will bring it to you but it took hours and a week and when i called the customer service hanged up on me when i said hello do not recommend if you wont have a week spare time

This one is much better than Southington. Usually good customer service, usually have enough people around. Pick up is quick and easy. Sometimes plumbing is hard to get help in an inventory can be out even though their computers say something is in stock, but overall the store is light years ahead of the one in Southington.
