“The Plainville Family Dollar is by far my favorite convenience store in the Hartford area. If you want, need or didn't know you had to have it, they carry it and the prices won't break the bank nor are you in debt for your first born and your appendages. I was able to decorate, stock up on basic household items and get some pretty fantastic clothing for myself and my son. I high recommend the Plainville location and ask for the store manager Daniel or the young redheaded and freckled cashier for help, they know their stuff! Thank your!”

“Had to pick up a pan with handles for my Thanksgiving turkey and they had plenty of them and they where cheap. Like $6 cheaper then stop and shop and stop and shop only had 1 and it was damaged. Highly recommend osjl fort anything needed in a pinch!!!!”

“It has a bunch of stuff. Definitely find good deals in these stores. So I can't complain about anything like that. They have my dog food which I can't find anywhere. Just seems like the stores are always so nice and clean when they first open, and then slowly but surely they get flipped upside down. Some worst than others. It hasn't stopped me from going to Dollar General, I just avoid certain locations now. I mean, there are enough of them around.”

“I had the most amazing experience there today! To say it was a positive experience would be the understatement of the year. Long story short, I bought a cabana there a few weeks ago and this morning we went to put it together but one of the boxes in the kit was wrong and we could go no further. I walked in and told ALEX what happened and he said "let me go in back and see if we have another box like that". We'll, he returned a few minutes later and said he had it and we could simply swap out the 2 boxes. I was expecting to be told, sorry you'll need to call the customer service number in the instructions, which we did with no luck, and you'll have to deal with them. Honestly, that would have been legitimate since the store doesn't package the cabanas, they just sell them. Let's be very clear, ALEX saved our Memorial Day weekend! His customer service is so rare nowadays. Thank you also to whoever trained him and to Big Lots for empowering their managers to make these decisions! I will now look for reasons to shop there! Thank you again ALEX!”

“Dont sleep on dollar tree!! For 1.25 you can get just about anything. Sometimes you get what you pay for but rather lose 1.25 than to lose 6.00 somewhere else. My only complaint; why is it dollar trees mission to only have one cashier working at the busiest times of the day?”

There are always boxes and stock waiting to be put away on the floor, clothing and tripping hazards. Maybe it is hard for them to stay fully staffed, I don't know. “"If dirt were dollarsWe'd all be in the black"(Don Henley)I certainly enjoy poking around dollar stores, especially when they are new, neat, well stocked and organized, and staffed by friendly engaging personnel. The Dollar Tree in Unionville has all of those qualities. They've only been open for half a year, but the store looks like it just opened yesterday. All the shelves were full and the store was as neat as a pin. As we walked their aisles we saw a nice selection of toys, books, household paper goods, cleaning supplies, home office and craft supplies, kitchen ware, pet supplies, frozen food, canned goods, candy, snacks, greeting cards (2 for a buck!), health and beauty aids, and party supplies. They even have a small bargain section where we saw dirt cheap Christmas wrap, bagged snacks, and a $0.25 jar of spicy mustard that ended up in our cart. We picked up a whole slew of Valentines Day goodies for the grand kids and a whole slew of beef jerky for me. And to top things off, the young lady at the cash register was a delight!”
