I typically don’t leave negative reviews, but I had an experience at this store that I believe management should be aware of to help prevent future issues. During a recent visit, I was asked to insert my card to look up a receipt. Unfortunately, the system couldn’t locate it, so I left without purchasing anything. However, when I got to my car, I noticed a charge on my card.
I returned to the store, where managers verified that my card had indeed been charged for items I hadn’t purchased. The logical next step seemed to be a refund, but management denied this, suggesting that the charge might “drop off.” They felt a refund at that moment could result in me receiving “free money” if the charge didn’t go through. This didn’t align with the transaction logs showing the charge was processed, nor with my understanding of standard pending transactions.
When I asked for the error to be corrected, management called customer service and then advised I file a chargeback with my credit card company, which seemed an unnecessary inconvenience since the mistake was theirs to correct. The following day, I visited the Westfarms mall location, where the manager there immediately resolved the issue with a refund, understanding it was a clear error.
After relaying my experience to the original store’s management, it seemed they were still unclear. I hope this review provides context to avoid similar situations for future customers. I believe promptly addressing and correcting mistaken charges is essential to providing good customer service.

I unfortunately had the worst experience I’ve ever had in a Bath and Body Works store. I attempted to return a $275 item in store today since I already had a second one that I purchased at half the price. I made it clear that we had two of this item and that we wanted to return the purchase from 7/22. The cashier was very kind and processed it as an online return and once one of the managers, Kat, came over to assist is where the issue began. My wife and I were told that half of the refund was coming back (which meant it was the wrong transaction) and when we expressed our concern about the amount coming back, the transaction was already done and processed. Kat was very degrading and spoke down to me as I tried to calmly explain that they misunderstood which transaction we wanted to return and all we got was “we did the return LIKE YOU ASKED” and “we can’t reverse the return”. Her attitude was very much uncalled for and eventually another manager was brought over, Carmen, who was much kinder and open to helping, even offered to call customer service for us. I was so upset by how I was treated I had to leave the store and leave my wife to finish this interaction. Because even when I was in tears the attitude and tone I was given was completely unprofessional. After customer service was called by Carmen and she reiterated the message, my wife tried explaining that the way we were treated over a miscommunication on their end when being more than kind to the staff was ridiculous, which is when Kat brought herself back up to the register and she repeated that our treatment today was uncalled for and disrespectful. And the only response she received was “thank you for the feedback”. A formal complaint was also made with customer care, but I will be sticking to my Westfarms Mall location where I know the staff won’t talk to their customers like they’re stupid.

Love this place. Employees are friendly, store is clean and you can order online and pickup in store. How about curbside pickup? I love that you don't have to walk through a mall to get to Bath & Body Works. Being disabled makes shopping there much easier.

I love this store and the location of it. Perfect for me I am disabled and cant walk far I love the store because I dont have to walk the whole mall to get to it. I alway have great service. The only thing is when a fragrance is discontinued. I love that you guys have butterfly back thank you. Another thing is I dont get coupons in the mail anymore dont know why. They send them to my ex husband address. I never get them. Anyway I love the store thank you.

I love many of the Bath and Body Shop Fragrances! The sales people are nice! However, after they say Hello to me, I am there to spray a fragrance tester myself, so I can test a few new fragrances. I love smelling the perfumes, but don' t want sales help! Fragrance picking is very individual. Jane.

The service was fine. The store,is neat,clean,and orderly.Many of us elderly and disabled love your store and are loyal customers. Those of that have a terrible time walking,are in need of a small place to sit down for a few minutes,then continue to shop for your wonderful products. Please can you place a folding chair in strategic areas of your store that is not in the way of customers? This is something that many of us would so much appreciate.

The cashiers did not allow me to use my “welcome reward” Towards my purchase. I was told by Jessica that I could not use it. I asked why I was able to use it online and I was not given an answer. Nonetheless I placed my order online while in the store - my reward was accepted, Despite Jessica insistent that I could not use it because the candles are on sale.After receiving a confirmation text regarding my order I let Jessica know that I did not need to be picked because I already picked it out myself. She informed me that I had to wait five to ten minutes before it would show in the system. I asked if the order number would be helpful. In a rude manner, Jessica repeated her previous remark. I then said to her “so no the order number would not be helpful to you.”?I will avoid this location n the future.

Waited 20 minutes for the cashier to talk to an employee that was there to buy something. I can't believe were out of there in the same day!!!! Never again. Horrendous customer service. Stay far away.

Can I just say I love that this is my home store? They are so wonderful here. I came to exchange my candle and the manager politely welcomed me at the door and made me feel so comfortable exchanging my product. EVERY TIME I’m there I notice she’s got the same positive and friendly attitude. I look forward to stopping in every time.

This location is AMAZING! They are all friendly & so nice. TAYA was so helpful as I was looking for a specific product. McKenzie gave me some excellent candle recommendations also ! I will be back soon !
