I will never go back to this business again! My friend who has trouble walking doesn't get out much, wanted to spend her Saturday going to one of her favorite shops. Well, No Longer!! Sometimes nature calls at a very inconvenient time! My friend approached the desk where 3 men/boys were standing, she asked if she could use the ladies room and they sent her next door to the Dollar Tree. He said we send everyone over there. She with her cane went next door and was told it was out of order ( or just sick of having people sent over there). She came back and pleaded with the boys to please use the bathroom and without skipping a beat said why don't you try Odd lots! Come on!! A small business should not treat people this way! My friend does not look like a homeless person but was treated like one! She was embarrassed and humiliated!!! Has anyone ever been treated like this? Shameful.

I have been visiting this store for years. I always find something special. Nancy created a very unique vibe. Always stop in when in town to say hello to Dan who is a genuine and funny. He is thoughtful andremembers the things that are special to me. The staff is great the finds are great. Great experience!

We had Italian sausage and peppers over spaghetti. Served with italian bread and salad. It was very good. The menu selection was a nice variety.

Best consignment ever. I always find treasures here. Check the discounted colored tag of the day. Good deals.

The Cedar Chest is the best consignment store on the shoreline. The staff is kind and very helpful and Nancy, the owner, is very knowledgeable and researches every item. I consign and buy; it is my favorite shopping in Connecticut and well worth the trip. Everything is clean and in excellent condition…..and is appropriate for the season. The prices are very reasonable and the sales are plentiful.

This place is outrageous with their prices. I picked up a pair of pants that was $30. I can go to TJ Maxx or Marshalls and get the same pair of pants brand new for $30. I picked up a necklace and it was $60 just a plain old black silver necklace. If you’re a consignment shop why are you pricing close at retail value? I love thrift shopping I will never shop there ever again it’s way too expensive and there is no reason for you guys to be that expensive if you’re a “consignment shop”. And by the way your employees are very rude especially one of the ladies in the back she acted like she didn’t wanna help me. The only person that was very nice I didn’t know his name but he said he was captain America. He was sweet as pie otherwise the other people they can eat dirt

Large selection of women's clothing but definitely overpriced for most items. You could buy newer versions of many items at marked down department store prices for the same price Cedar Chest III charges. The only thing this consignment shop has going for it is that all of the items are clean and undamaged. Also, you have the satisfaction of knowing you're helping to extend the life of the pieces you buy. This store is a step up from Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores but not nearly as good as many designer consignment stores for the price.

I was in saybrook yesterday and happened to stop in the place is way to overpriced I looked at a lamp they wanted $40 for it I don’t even pay that when I shop goodwill and always thought goodwill was expensive I think this place takes the cake and it’s literally all junk that only rich people can afford
