My first experience with Kia of Old Saybrook was at the beginning of the year when a snow plow hit my Kia and paid to get it repaired. I went to the service department and they took care of it immediately, made the repairs, and all was good to go. When it was time for me to purchase a new car this month, I was lucky enough to work with Evan Roof, my salesperson. Evan was great to work with, very knowledgeable, friendly, no pushing or stress. While I had to wait for the car to make it to CT, I would get follow up phone calls to keep me in the loop. So I must say that everyone I worked with at this dealership, from Service to Sales to Finance was exceptional. The atmosphere at this dealership is great, just all around nice people. When I went to pick up my new Kia Soul, Evan was waiting for me, explained everything in detail, and I was not rushed. Jordan was great in answering any additional questions I had. Hopefully I will not need a new car soon, but if I do, I will only consider Kia of Old Saybrook :-)

Unfortunate service experience. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation (~$90 for semi-synthetic and tire rotation) and the front right tire didn't move from its original position. I'm going with everyone's human and this could have been a mistake. That said, car has ~198,000 miles on it. During service I was told that the car had "original" spark plugs that needed replacing, that brake fluid needed to be flushed, that coolant needed to be flushed, that the serpentine belt needed to be replaced, the power steering fluid needed to be changed, air filter replaced, tires balanced, and finally the "KIA recommended undercoating" for a grand total of $1474. I provided documentation that brake fluid was flushed at ~192,000 miles, spark plugs at ~100,000 and 143,000 miles by two different providers. I questioned whether something else could be wrong and was told to take the car back to the prior service providers, implying that they hadn't done what they said. Note, they were two different providers so I'm thinking it's unlikely they both didn't do what they said, but who knows. While the spark plugs may need to be replaced based on mileage (car is not having any performance issues) they are most definitely not original. When I asked about the coolant exchange they said it was based on miles not actual vehicle history or any observation of the coolant. This could have been handled differently, but when they became defensive in response to my questions, which are normal questions to ask if you know the maintenance history of your vehicle, I opted not to proceed.

I went in with 'first big purchase' nerves and doubt. I left with a car I love and feel good about. Natalie listened, gave me options, and helped me find my first big purchase. Will be staying with Kia.

Poor customer service and practices. This dealer is not to be trusted. They switched out the purchase order as we were sitting down to sign the papers. I did not realize there were a number of items not on the original which included vin etching and paint paint protection. None of these items were done to my car. They rushed me through the signing and I later noticed they charged me that were not being even on the car. I had to have several phone conversations and later contacted my attorney. When they realized that was what I was doing they issued a check for Over$ 1,300. My sales person clearly needs additional training on the EV6 because there was a number of features and items of he was wrong about or did not know. They also promised me items after the sale was complete which they reneged on. Very poor customer service! Currently I have had to file a complaint with the better business bureau, the CT AG and KIA corporate. Overall a very poor experienced

My husband and I bought a used car from this dealership. Extremely disappointed. The service stops the minute you walk out the door. 3 weeks after the purchase we are still waiting for answers. We have copied the general manager on our messages and still no response.

We purchased a 2021 Telluride from the team at Kia of Old Saybrook. Jay Roderick our consultant was kind and professional throughout the transaction. No Pressure whatsoever... Loved it. The atmosphere of the dealership, from Jay to Fran is what earned our business. Their pricing was very fair, we'd recommend them as a great team.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had in terms of customer service. I live 2 hours away but the price for the car was more competitive than my state so I decided to trek up there and test drive. I had to go back and forth 4 times before I was able to bring the car home. I was sent home TWICE because they didn't have the required documents on their end. Imagine my frustration after not once, but twice taking a four hour trek for nothing because they didn't have their stuff together. I ended up purchasing the vehicle, it's been running fine. Just wouldn't recommend unless the price is REALLY worth the hassle of dealing with the staff's incompetence

I had contact Kia of Old Saybrook to purchase a car. I connected with them via Facebook. Ended up speaking to a man named Bill Friskey who specialized in Facebook messaging. I informed Bill that my credit score was above 600 and my income was of SSD. He told me to fill out the pre app and that they could help me. Once he got into my credit he said that I would have to put down $3-4,000. I told him I couldn't come up with that kind of money but made a counter offer. He left me on read every time we communicate with one another I was the one to initiate contact EVERY TIME. 24 hours later I called and spoke directly with him. He said that he would speak to the GM who would be in at 3:00. 2 hours later he said he spoke with "Fran" who said no they couldn't help me. Once I said I would give them the money they wanted 2 minutes later he said "GREAT ILL SEND THAT OUT FOR APPROVAL" Don't trust Kia of Old Saybrook. They don't want to help and their advertisements are lies! They just want to take advantage of people that have a fixed income. I Do not recommended ANYONE to get a car from them. Because not only did they want a large down payment, your credit will go down because of their inquiry. Their business is not to help people but to take advantage of people who are on a fixed income. My experience with them has been awful at best. Their costumers service is subpar at best. Please don't trust Bill Fiskey or the GM Fran. They claim they are a family based dealer, but their only concern is their own family. Not yours!

Stay away. Shady car dealership with unethical practices. They will inflate prices and exploit customers. I would absolutely advise anyone to stay away from this dealership.

Don't order parts from this dealer. I bought a side view mirror with blind spot feature $140 part. They sent me a $30 mirror in a box marked with the more expensive part's serial number. Had to return it at my expense and they wouldn't send out a new one until they received the one they sent me in error. New part finally arrived, but they wouldn't do an exchange I had to buy the same part again. The second time they sent the correct part, but then it took my credit card company to fight for about six weeks before they finally issued my $140 credit for the original order that they screwed up. Don't know what goes on at this place but it's not good.

This weekend I had the pleasure of working with Dan Height Finance and Fran Drake the GM. I was looking for something within my payments I could afford and they did everything they could to make it work. We all know car buying is a numbers game of back and forth but at the end of the day they did exactly what I asked of them. Thank you.

If I could give this business and KIA Motors as a whole Zero stars I most certainly would!!! I dropped my 2017 Kia Sportage off here because there was water leaking into the vehicle. So much so that there was a Puddle in the front passenger side. (I've enclosed a photo.) They told me it was a clogged AC drain and that it wasn't covered under Warranty so I was charged for Parts & Labor! I called to speak to the Manager because I couldn't understand Why on a Newer vehicle this would occur and Why was it Not covered under Warranty?!! It's a 2017 with just a little over 10,000 miles on it. Obviously the part Must be Faulty if after just ONE YEAR of having the vehicle this would happen!! So I called, asked to speak to the Manager then was told I would be "Transferred over to him" After Several Minutes of the phone just ringing and ringing, No One Answering and No Answering Machine to leave a message I called from my Cellphone. I asked the girl who answered, (Danielle) if she was the same one I had just spoken to which she replied, "Yes!" The I stated that the phone was just ringing and ringing and she replied. "Cause I had to go get the Manager on the sales floor!" Very RUDE & NASTY! I even told Danielle, "There's No Need to get Nasty and be Rude!" So I asked if the Manager will be getting on the phone? She said, "No, he's busy!" Danielle then stated that the Manager will give you a "Service Credit" but he's Not giving you a refund!! I explained my thoughts and Danielle replied, "You don't have a New Car! It's a 2017 with 10,000 miles on it!!!" Well Excuse Me!!! I Still do NOT believe this should be happening to a ONE YEAR OLD CAR with ONLY 10,000 MILES ON IT!!!! #KIAMOTORSSUCKS. So this is Very Unfortunate KIA of Old Saybrook Cause this vehicle is Leased and this is my 2nd one with you but I Promise it will be my LAST!!!!

Kia of Old Saybrook was amazing in helping my mother resolve an issue with a current lease. Fran Drake, GSM of that dealership, was incredibly professional, unrelenting and genuinely concerned about helping resolve our issue. We have four Kia's in our family and are extremely happy with the customer service in their sales and finance departments.

I searched on Internet for a month before I was ready to buy my new Kia, their Internet Sales was extremely helpful and a great way to look with absolutely no pressure! First of all I hate dealing with car dealers as they want to hassle you all the time, but Bill (internet Sales) was so helpful emailing me back and forth with all the information I needed. Which lead me to a meeting with John and Fran who were fantastic Help! I ended my search after meeting with them and bought the car right on the spot! They were extremely accommodating and offered superb service with transitioning into my new car and John L. took the time to go over every detail in my new car with me on my time at my work, which I thought was a fantastic service, as my time was very limited! Great place to buy a car, highly recommend, go to this place before thinking of buying from any one else!
