Had a great time here seeing Awaken, a Yes Tribute band. Beautiful venue with a cool little museum. Clean, comfortable with excellent sound/lighting. Took the websites recommendation and hit up the Penny Lane pub first for dinner, which was also quite nice!

Lovely, historic display of Katherine Hepbern's life and career in Old Saybrook. There is no charge for entry, and the docent was very knowledgeable.Her former home in Fenwick is no longer open, although you may still drive through the area. Ver enjoyable afternoon.

First time here. Excellent help getting into our seats . Very laid back. Beautiful theatre. I had a rum coke which was rather weak. But I’m finding that everywhere these days. At least you could go out to have a cigarette and come back to your seat which is another freedom we have been losing lately in other venues. In row B the vocals seemed to go right over your head. The speakers are up too high. Went to the back and it was much improved. Overall a great experience

The Kate is a very beautiful theater with ample parking both on Main Street and in the parking lot to the rear of the theater. It also includes a quaint museum honoring the theaters namesake Katherine Hepburn. The theater seating comfortably accommodates for very large patrons such as myself. They do have a limited bar that sells alcohol and drinks that you can take into the theater. Even the farthest seats towards the back of the theater have an incredible view of the intimate stage area. If you have never seen a show at the Kate it is time!°

If you have hearing loss my advice would be be to be prepared to leave. The headset provided works great when it's working. I have had to return to the box office more than once to get a replacement. Also, as I discovered last night, the sound set-up of certain performances does not co-ordinate with the headphones.I went to the Kate last night to see "The Matchmaker" . The pre-show music came through fine on my headset. Once the show started, however, I heard next to nothing. When I returned to the box office I was told "Oh, the company is using a single central microphone so the headphones won't pick that up" I was offered a refund (which I took).I have enjoyed many shows at The Kate. I really LIKE the Kate BUT if the assistive device they are giving me is only going to work for me "sometimes" they are NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM BEING INCLUSIVE.At this point I'm not sure I will ever go back there.

I have been to multiple events here over the last two years. It’s a spectacular venue, and I recommend you stop in to see the Katharine Hepburn museum inside as well.

Great Hall totally dig this place, great sound not a bad seat anywhere in the venue, staff is awesome. Looking forward to the next show we are catching there
