Hard to believe how bad these folks are. Went to pick up a prescription for Paxlovid, the standard treatment for COVID. It's common knowledge that it's available for free to seniors on Medicare. They charged me 1400. They claim never to have heard of any program of under which this medicine is distributed for free. If you get COVID, don't go to this pharmacy. Howard G.

I'd give you zero stars but that's not an option unfortunately. Kudos to you your reputation proceeds you. Now I know why my child pediatrician advises against filling prescriptions at the OLD Saybrook CVS. I stood in line for 10 minutes only to get to get to the counter to have the associate not be able to find my child's prescription. She sent me to another counter to look into the prescription, but the other woman couldn't find her prescription either. It took her several attempts to locate it at which point I had already called the doctor's office and it was called in at 5:37 it was 5:50 pm. I was told it would take 10 to 15 minutes to fill my child's prescription. At 6:25 my nine-year-old old's prescription still wasn't filled. I stood back in line to see what the problem was. I was told by the woman at the counter, that " the prescription was in production". She scribbles my daughter's name in a piece of paper. 6:45pm my child's name was called. The pharmacist said " amoxicillin was out of stock". I asked "why did it take so long for me to be told that the prescription was out of stock" ? She said that " I have 2000 prescriptions ahead of her & l'm doing the best I can". I said, " don't children's prescriptions and the elderly get preference? She said "it's a first come first serve basis". To that I say there wasn't 2000 people waiting in the CVS. WTF are you kidding me! Thank goodness that the doctor's office could call in the prescription for my child to another pharmacy before they closed without a minute to spare! Never will I ever step foot in that CVS again. Hire more competent people, better managers, pay more. CVS do better! Thank you WALGREENS for expediting the prescription!!!!

Absolutely outrageous. This is the third time an appointment was canceled to get flu and Covid shots. Did not bother to contact me, so instead, I show up after a 15 minute drive. After telling the woman that this is the third time, she said, well, you should go somewhere else. Absolutely the worst customer service of any CVS I have ever been to. Appalling.

Absolutely terrible experience. Rudest pharmacy workers to ever exist. Not one brain cell between all the workers behind the counter.

Long wait, it took 5 visits to get a simple tube of hydrocortisone- and the overworked clerks wanted to charge me nearly 50$ rather than check my insurance coverage- a little homework revealed it should cost $5. Take my advice and find another pharmacy!

Horrible experience. Scheduled a 10:45 am appointment for vax. Checked in at counter (10:30 am) - it is now 11:30 and I am still waiting. Only 1 pharmacist working. EVERYONE HERE IS MISERABLE!!! Customers who dropped off scripts 3 - 4 days ago and they r still not ready. Why offer services when u have no staff to fulfill your obligations? Read the reviews folks. This is a chronic problem with this store. Just shut it down for Chrisakes!

The worst CVS I've ever been to. Long lines at the pharmacy - I've never had less than 8 people in front of me & it's often 12+. Allow at least 20-30 minutes waiting in line before you get to the counter. And when you finally get to the counter? Your prescription may not even be ready - even if you received a text stating it is. My text came yesterday & just now I'm told that they can expedite it & have it ready in 20 minutes? After I've already waited in line for 24 minutes? This isn't the first time I've received a text from this location stating my Rx is ready & it hasn't been.Think about doing drive thru? Forget it - it is never open; the same closed sign has been posted at the window for weeks.

Worst pharmacy and staff ever! Two years ago I had to move one of my sons scripts because they never kept it in stock. Now three weeks in a row they have drive thru closed due to staffing issues but there have been 4 people working. After receiving a text and app showing my prescription was ready I wait in line 40 minutes to be told they do t have it. And then told to get I. The other line for them to figure out why. When I said I'm not moving the person opened another register and ignored me. I'm done they have lost all my family's business. Woman in front of me was there last weekend waited 45 minutes in line and when it was lunch time they all walked away and left the people who had been in line over 45 minutes. Just walked away! Worst customer service ever!!!!

Uncaring pharmacy staff, combative, mean, unhelpful on many a occasions. Their customer service is non existent and get hung up on while I’m on hold 2/3 times. Go somewhere else if you can.

Absolutely horrible service. It's as if conversing with an entitled angst teen exhibiting rude and belittling affectation, that is if you're lucky enough to not get hung up on.

The store itself is pleasant experience. But as for the pharmacy, the staff is rude. They abruptly hang up on you and won't let you refill a prescription so many days ahead of schedule. In order for that to happen they have to talk to someone for the okay. Oh and the app, is straight trash. No push notifications for prescriptions ready.I wouldn't do gone to CVS if it wasn't a change in my insurance. I would of stayed with Walgreens if my insurance had a contract with them. Pleasant experience all around. But after a few months with CVS I switched to another pharmacy. I would not recommend CVS for your prescriptions.

The staff are rude and the store policies are archaic. Additionally, the pharmacy is incredibly slow. Will be changing pharmacies ASAP

People working in this pharmacy will do anything but their actual job. As a former employee of CVS pharmacy, I noticed that the workers here lay their workload onto the customer for things such as contacting a doctor for authorization to transfer a medication that is controlled. They simply do not want to do the job they are being paid to do. Most do not even know the law; a controlled medication CANNOT be transferred without authorization from the doctor that prescribed it. My medication was not available for pick up becaue it was out of stock although they had a "different brand" available. I asked the pharmacy worker if they could use that and contact my doctor for authorization, and they proceeded to tell me MULTIPLE times that "that would be a lot of work on their end" before hanging up the phone. Extremely incapable and rude workers. If a pill falls on the floor 9/10 times they will just put back in the bottle. No one uses gloves and rarely hand sanitizer when filling medication. Be weary. Just speaking from experience as a previous worker at CVS pharmacy. The service is atrocious but so is the work going on behind the scenes. Certainly not medically appropriate.
