Not able to comment on the quality of their work because they canceled on me (via text) 5 days before my baby shower after booking months in advance and attempting to call and email to confirm their appointment. Just be wary if you do not receive confirmation as they apparently will not get back to you and cancel on you last minute.

I booked a blowout two weeks prior to an event. An hour before my appointment I got an email saying the appointment was cancelled. I immediately called the salon to see what happened and no one answered. I tried calling two more times and no response! I know things happen I just would have liked a phone call or text just letting me know if there was a reason like sickness that they cancelled my appointment. I would not recommend this salon due to poor communication.Service: Blowdry

It’s that time of year, as the weather warms up, that my hair starts to really frizz & become unmanageable. Last week I booked Ashley for a Brazilian Blowout treatment. I could not be happier. I can let my hair air dry or blowdry it with smooth results. The Brazilian Blowout saves me styling time as well. Thank you Ashley for this life changing treatment!

Blow dry at the beach is the best. I have never been disappointed with a color or a cut. Ashley is amazing and I get constant compliments on my highlights and cut. The ease of making appointments is an added bonus. I will never go anywhere but blow dry at the beach!Services: Haircut

TERRIBLE!! Burnt hair - stylist tried to charge me $300+ for burnt hair!! Stylist was crying - this has never happened to me before! Wanted a highlight she colored my hair I had to ask her to remove the color - absolutely terrible experience!

This salon sent a stylist who was unvaccinated, sick with fever and horrible cough to do my daughter’s wedding party hair yesterday, October 10, 2021. The stylist was honest and told my daughter when she arrived, but my daughter, at that point had already been exposed when she answered her hotel door without a mask on to let the stylist in. The stylist also said she told the salon owner she was sick, but the owner said she had to go because their was no one to take her place. I sent the stylist home, but now my daughter has to worry about her own health until she can get tested. I do not understand how 1) a person who works in close proximity to their clients does not get vaccinated and 2) a salon owner would have such little consideration for their clients they would put at risk instead of stepping up and covering for the clearly ill stylist. Not a way to spend your wedding day.

SAVE YOURSELF and DO NOT engage with this salon for your wedding day. I found them online for my 2020 wedding, and was excited by their website and positive reviews. They were very accommodating when I had to postpone my wedding to 2021 due to Covid, and that is the only nice thing I can say. The owner is TERRIBLE at responding, I would have to email her at least 3 or 4 times before receiving a response and no one ever answers the salon phone or returns voice mails. It was down to the day before my wedding and I was unsure what time the stylists were coming, or if they were coming at all... and this was after 3 months of trying to finalize the details/ timeline with the owner. Turns out the stylists were also out of the communication loop, the owner instructed them to arrive 45 minutes earlier than the time she confirmed with me the day before. This was a huge issue because they were booked for another wedding later that day and had to rush to get everyone finished in time. I did not appreciate this added stress on my wedding day.

Ashley, Eden and Vanessa did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I on my wedding day. Their work was FLAWLESS and having them there just felt like getting ready with a few more friends! Megan the owner was great throughout the whole process before the wedding too. Even with a few hiccups she was great at maintaining communication with me and helping me smooth everything out!

I received notification via text today that the blow-out appointment I booked a few months ago for a wedding four days from now has been cancelled. I called and left a message to try and get additional information, but there was no answer and no one returned my call. While I am very sympathetic to current circumstances related to COVID, the impersonal way this was addressed and the lack of actual communication is disappointing and not good customer service. I've had a pretty consistently positive (for the most part) experience with this salon over the last few years, but am very frustrated with how this cancellation was handled at the last minute without any real explanation.

Came by boat the Saybrook. Made an appt online for root touch up. She called and I gave her my color formula from my stylist at home. She uses Goldwell too and was ready for me when I arrived. Pleasant, bright salon. My hair looks and feels great!

Not to bad for my first time. The only reason for 4 stars was due to a miss communication within employees the wax was turned off so my appointment had to be pushed back for a 1/2 hour.
