Very nice people that run the gallery. I was greeted warmly and was informed of the exhibits. Very clean, artwork was wonderful to look at.

Definitely worth the trip. If you are in the area or just looking for a destination on the weekend to spend some time, check out the Lyme Art Associations.

My friends and I came to the Lyme Art Association while walking and exploring through town. There were so many beautiful pieces, and more exhibits than I was expecting! The woman in attendance gave a wonderful overview of the art and artists, and made us feel very welcome.

The people at this gallery were so helpful and accommodating. It was near where I was staying and amenities were nearby. The workshop was much of a disappointment, but seeing great art in their gallery and touring the area helped me to downplay my loss & disappointment. I look forward to another visit there one day.

A lovely space filled with extraordinary artwork! I really appreciated the current landscape theme, so thoughtful and provoking! The museum is a perfect location for a special occasion event, reunion, small wedding, or business networking. A Connecticut must see!!

We visit about once a year. Exhibits rotate frequently and it's always a top quality. It's right next to the Florence Griswold Museum, which is another terrific destination and across the street from the Old Lyme Inn where we often stay to enjoy a dinner and a jazz performance at the Side Door Club located at the Inn.

The quality and diversity of the items is worth the visit. They are professionally grouped and displayed.

I visited the museum on a weekday around lunchtime and it was not busy. There were about 4 other visitors in the museum. The staff member informed me that all of the pieces are for sale. Most of the pieces are paintings and there are some sculptures as well. They range in price from about $100 to a couple thousand dollars.

Connecticut is rich with art and art galleries; but this one is one of our favorites. It's bright interior and it's layout is very relaxing and inviting....even on a rainy day! The subjects of their shows vary over a broad spectrum of subject and medium. Never leave there without feeling enriched for the experience!

A friend of mine told me this gallery accepted her oil paintings; this prompted my visit. I never knew the public was welcomed. Landscapes and Marine works were on exhibit. Thoroughly enjoyed this venue; lighting was good and do not miss the lower level. No admittance fee but a donation graciously accepted. The art pieces are for sale.

The Lyme Art Association has both classes for adults plus wonderful exhibits by its members. There is a lot of talent on display at one of the regular showings and prices are quite affordable for some fine art. You can also take portrait classes or travel to a picturesque outdoor site for landscapes. The teachers are excellent. There is a fall exhibit plus tastings from local restaurants which is great fun.
