My kids have been going to The Global Child for 3 years now. They have always been well cared for and loved at this school. They love going to school and have an amazing relationship with their teacher. This center is Nayec accredited and also has a great preschool program which offers school readiness. School readiness is an income based, state funded program which pays for a portion of your child care expense! Highly recommend for a great affordable child care experience.

Im loving The Global Child!! My son just started on Monday, and he is so excited every time he goes! Have to convince him to come home lol. Courtney (The Director) and her staff are very accommodating and wonderful. I could not have brought my child to a better center.

This place is a MESS!!!They have had some really great caretakers, but TGC is definitely a revolving door for their employees. We pulled our daughter after two weeks of them not offering her water bottle and coming home with all of her food untouched. And she also came home with a black and blue egg on her head one day that was not addressed at pick up.They closed the ledyard facility with less than two weeks of notice to their customers via a message in the Procare app. No email, no phone call…Also, just weeks before they closed, the owner had problems PAYING HER EMPLOYEES ON TIME. On Labor Day weekend, one of the employees was surprised when I told her that I hoped she had a wonderful paid holiday, as if she does not in fact get paid(despite the fact they charge the families for those days even though the centers are closed).I know that the employees were doing the best with what they had, but for the short time our daughter was there, we were extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this company or any of its facilities. We were fortunate enough to find alternative childcare, but I know others were not as lucky as wait times for other facilities in our area (that are not owned by Ginny) are SUPER long

My children did not even make it into the facility and communication was off. I was going to send them to Ledyard but due to an issue they were not able to go. I told them about a week after that they were not able to attend. The woman had told me that she spoke to her supervisor explained the situation and that a refund was going to be given. I was also told that they sent me the money via venmo (never once gave them my info). When calling them back they were investigating what happene, a week went by with no response then they told me 3 weeks later that they sent it to a different alyssa and that the woman's infant died so they confused me with a Norwich woman.

Ok, if you are a staff member working at this school you will know who my child is. Let me tell you, when starting at this school, this was a life changing moment for my daughter and I and not a very easy one. Eventually, and when I say eventually, my daughter started to get excited to go to school.! The first moment ( I'm crying writing this...) my child didn't cry when I had to leave. I said Baebae.? I love you.." I love you too mommy. Ill pick you up later okay? "Okay mommy" I love you more baebae " I love you more mommy. Let me tell you. I got into the car and cried, girl! I cried hard. And since then she still might not be the easiest, however she loves her teachers more and her friends we talk about them all the time. One teacher has become hers and mined greast gift. I am grateful for her. They have helped with potty training, learning basic independent skill, putting on and off their shoes, putting their coats on and off. My child loves this school. I appreciate everyone there. And at the end of the day we say our goodbye or as her grandparents like to remind us, see you later, it is never good bye , its I will see you later. And get into the car and just talk about her day, true blessing. Thank you.

This place have a few good workers but I regret bringing my child there when started I advised the director of his needs and what was going on with my son and they said they work with children with his needs. Communication is poor, issues were going on that was never told to me in a timely manner. They treated my 2 year old like he was a school aged child that knows what he is doing. My son accidentally jumped up and hit someone in the chin and they didn't let him go the next day saying they had no staff. After that day 3 days in a row they allowed him to climb a tree in which he came home with ripped pants and coat one day scratch on his face next day and a rip all the way down his pants following. Out of all of that 1 day I was advised on what happen to his clothes. This facility seems they can only handle well behaved kids their redirection is poor and seems staff need more training coming from someone who worked in human services and had to practice redirection. Today I get a call as I'm heading to work my son can't come in unless we have a meeting again not in a timely manner and we have already missed a lot of work dealing with these people. I called the owner who was suppose to call me back and she didn't. The director wanted to have a telephone meeting in which I didnt approve because that's unprofessional I feel it should be face to face but she made sure to make that possibility difficult which seems cowardly. I just moved to Norwich area Aug 2018 and this is the worst experience I wasnt having issues with my son as I am now with care. Facility so small kids dont have room to explore and be kids as my son like to do climb.
