After 25+ years as a customer I'm accused of "working the system" and being fraudulent when an item scans the incorrect price on the phone app and I ask for a price check, then ask for my consumer commodity to be free because it scanned double the posted shelf price. She wanted to penalize me for using the app!!! And how dare she speak to any customer that way......she should not be allowed to interact on behalf of the company.

October 2nd, 2024 I was shopping at this Big Y. Noticed the deli still had BOARS HEAD DELI MEATS OUT for people to BUY. BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT was in the NEWS for LISTERA OUTBREAK!! They found out their PROCCESSING PLANTS WERE DISGUSTING AND INFESTED WITH MOLD AND INSECTS!! PEOPLE WERE GETTING SICK ?? AND STILL ARE FROM BOARS HEAD DELI MEATS!! The news claimed BOARS HEAD WAS SHUTTING DOWN A PLANT IN VIRGINIA!! DO NOT BUY ANY BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT RIGHT NOW FROM THIS BIG Y!!! I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ARE SELLING IT. THE DELI MEAT HAS BEEN RECALLED FROM VIRGINIA!! The woman I spoke to at the DELI said "THE BOARS HEAD DELI MEAT THEY HAD FOR SALE. WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE RECALL HOW DOES SHE KNOW IT WASN'T FROM THE PLANT IN VIRGINIA AND THEY DON'T TELL CUSTOMERS WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON WITH BOARS HEAD" That is DISGUSTING AND MORALLY WRONG WHEN PEOPLE ARE STILL GETTING SICK ?? WITH LISTERA!! DO NOT BUY ANY BOARS HEAD PRODUCTS RIGHT NOW!! THE BIG Y DELI SHOULD BE SELLING IT!! DO NOT GET SICK!!

This is a decent location for Big Y. The store is clean. A few items I was looking for weren’t on the shelves so they could step up their stocking game a bit. Other than that it is a great location. The staff was very friendly and the meat section had variety. If you’re in this area this is a great place to shop.

I usually shop at this Big Y and enjoy the cleanliness and well stocked nature of the store. However, I recently purchased what I thought was 2.15 pounds of chicken for two recipes and when I went to weigh it out, I actually only got 1.8 pounds of chicken and .4 pounds of packaging, including a very full, wet cushion. The chicken was on sale but no bargain since I did not get enough chicken for my recipes. Not sure I will purchase meat at this store again.

She was very nice , pleasent and cared . I don't shop often . I like everyone else is shocked at the high prices ,
The rotisserie Chicken was enough for 1 sandwich not two . Very disappointed and chef at station wasn't happy when I asked about what time did the chickens come out. I didn't have my glasses . I explained it to him that's why I asked the question. Some people need to have better customer service skills to be pleasent and make people feel welcomed

All Big Y markets are nice. The sausage or meatball stromboli is great. But I dropped my rating 2 stars because of the new prices of grinders. The boar's head doesn't warrant what they charge for my tastes.

Horrible service. Can't Take orders because THEY ARE ALL on lunch break. There should be atleast one person on the floor answering to customer service. I like going here because it's next to the casino. Convenient but not if nobody wants to work.

Terrible customer service in the pizza and grinder department, I ordered four sheet
pizza's for our summer camp on the 25th in the morning for Friday the 26th at 11:30.
The gentleman who took our order read it and confirmed it on the phone. I went to pick it up at 11:40 waited patiently , there was three staff the guy making the pizza and two ladys making grinders not one person spoke to meor said I will be right with you. When Denise finally spoke too me she was rude and stated that my order was for 1:30 not 11:30 as she had a standing order at 11:30 and would not have taken our order for that time. Not once during the conversation was she pleasant or kind and was very rude she asked the cook how long would it take for him to make our order which he said 30 minutes. This put our camp lunch well behind as our camp goes to 3:30 and Friday's are
fun Friday's. The pizza dough had alot of air bubbles and was very chewy very skimpy on the toppings . We will not be ordering again from this Big Y. They did comp one of the pizza's and the gentleman said sorry for the confusion . None of the three staff had any people skills.

Out of all the grocery stores in the area, Big Y is my favorite. The store is always clean. I mainly come here for the produce as I consistently find it to be the best in town. I also like their meat department, they often have yellow sticker deals on proteins for my specific diet. Down side is the cost, and Big Y has less selection than other local stores. Their deli and bakery section is really good too.
