I am well aware that this post office was one to avoid in the past, and I don’t go here regularly, but wanted to say that the person who helped me there today was great - really helpful, kind enough and pleasant. I hope that USPS can continue to turn around our little town’s post office.

There may be an occasional visiting post office staff member who is efficient, however, the staff (person) that is usually there has no idea what customer service is and is downright condescending, rude and extremely non efficient- after waiting 20 minutes behind one customer in front of me who the staff member loudly announced, as she reviewed each item for mail, that the customer has to write more legibly, if she can’t read it, she can’t accept. Perhaps the customer’s writing was difficult but the amount of times she announced this and the way she treated the customer was as if she were a mean elementary school teacher reprimanding a first grader. Well, my turn was next- after I was loudly told to “look at the poster on the wall” - there’s many, mind you- AND the line was going out the door if people waiting- this staff member, in her condescending manner told me three times to look at the poster on the wall, then asked me- does your box look like the poster on the wall? I accidentally let slip that a bar code wasn’t covered on the recycled box I was using. I went to scratch thru it with my pen, to which she said was not acceptable- I had to tear the old sticker completely off( I have to admit, it did come off fairly easy- I had no idea) did I mention, she again asked me to step out of line and look at the poster- while everyone waited and stared on at the scene this worker was making… I will not use this location ever again. I’ve never had a “great” experience at this location, but the previous staff member was at least kind- I believe she may be retired now.The person I had the displeasure of mailing my item with really shouldn’t be in a face to face with the public. Perhaps a sorting position would be a better choice.

Honestly disturbed by the interaction I had at this location. I was harassed by an employee who stole my package. I still can’t believe this happened. I would avoid this location, Andrea seems to be going through something and is willing to leave the building to attack customers. She kept complaining about her manager but taking out her anger on the customer. Truly disturbing.

Yes, the Rowayton post office, in the past used to rank somewhere around minus 100 in service. But that has changed with a NEW friendly and efficient person at the counter. Making the Rowayton post office a delightful experience.

I think the person who works there is slowest worker in the history of USPS. I’m not even sure if my letter will be send as I wanted. She seemed very distracted and not sure about what she was doing:-(
