I was referred here by a friend of mine who I trust for a carburetor repair/replacement and tune up on my 9.9HP mercury outboard engine. I dropped it off April 15th and they said they only work on them on rainy days. I said totally fine - didn’t need it for a month and half. I called in mid to late May and they had just opened it up to look at it and just ordered the carb! Mind you, it rained many days during the months of April and May. After that, I called almost every week until current day in July and left voicemails with no return call. I ended up just showing up one day to pick it up. They claimed they called to tell me the motor was no good. They had not. No apologies and had an attitude. This business is so unprofessional - don’t waste your time here like I did.

Dont get me wrong Phil and the team at the bait shop are good people been dealing with them for years but Dont know if there busy or whatever but ive been trying to get my boat fixed for weeks and no one has given me updates or a time line when my boats going to get looked at. We have been chatting back and forth for weeks now with no diagnosis and now one of my fuel lines has busted open. Im worried that i will not get to use the boat to its full potential this summer. Need to get my fishing in. Wouod like an explanation why this is taking so long

Phil and the team at The Bait Shop are true professionals, and they run a great operation. I dropped my boat off with an 03 Evinrude experiencing motor issues and within 24 hours they had a resolved the problem at an incredibly fair price. They provide excellent customer service and go above and beyond to ensure I was happy. I will be sending everyone to see Phil. Thanks!

These guys are pleasant, effective, and reasonable. When I have needed work done, they have done it correctly and quickly for a good price. They also have mobile mechanic services available if you are nearby and are unable to get your boat to them.
