Sukran is the BEST! I was recommended to her by a close friend and am so glad I went.
Wedding's are beyond stressful and Sukran made wedding dress shopping and alterations feel like a breeze. I texted her a few examples of dresses before my first appointment and she was ready with a few dresses when I came in. I ended up only trying on 5 dresses and went with lucky #3. The dress was beyond my wildest dreams! It fit me like a glove and all the details were absolutely beautiful. My husband was obsessed with the dress on the day of, which is a good sign!
My alterations were quick and working with Sukran was such a nice experience. She is so sweet, personable, and knowledgable. I was traveling from New York to CT for my appointments and she was always quick to respond and flexible with my schedule.
I could not have had a better experience - thank you Sukran!

Sukran was an absolute gem! With only six months to plan my wedding, I found an Eisen Stein Audrey dress off the rack that was nearly perfect, and Sukran made it truly magical! She tuned into my vision right away and meticulously tailored the dress. She transformed the bodice into something truly elegant by layering extra lace from the hem, creating the dress of my dreams. Sukran also tailored my husband's tuxedo, making sure everything fit perfectly and helping us find the ideal vest and tie pairing. She’s kind, talented, and I can’t recommend her enough!

I wish I could give Sukran more than 5 stars. Not only the most talented but also the kindest, warmest person. She felt like family during my alterations process. I went in with a vague idea on adding a bow to my dress that had just 1 tiny flower on the front. Sukran took a bow from a family wedding dress and created both a gorgeous bow and turned the material in the small flower into a belt to hide an unflattering seam on the dress. She has an unrivaled eye for alterations and went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule. Even after the wedding I take garments to her, and each time her work is flawless.

You MUST visit Sukran for any alteration needs you have. She is the most genuinely kind, caring, talented, and knowledgable seamstress and I am SO lucky to have found her. She is worth her weight in gold!
After visiting Sukran, my wedding gown fit like a GLOVE, and she made sure I was comfortable and happy with every fitting. She helped me so much and made the alterations so quickly, even during her very busy season. Not to mention her amazing personality, she is just the best.

After a dress sizing and delivery issue, I was in a huge time crunch for my sister’s wedding as her maid of honor. I was panicking! I called Sukran’s on a Friday at noon, and she squeezed me come in that afternoon for a fitting with the dress, undergarments, and shoes. She made some small changes (taking out a netting in the dress that made it too puffy, fixed the front sash, and length was too long) and calmed me down as she took her time to carefully and skillfully mark where the alterations on my dress should be. The material was very delicate and required multiple layers of alterations. As we were chatting, I mentioned to Sukran that I was traveling to the wedding a week later, and she said she would text me when it was ready but that it might be a few days because it was a busy time with prom and tux fittings
Imagine my surprise when she texted me at 8 am the next day (Saturday!) to tell me it was ready!! I went in and tried it on and the dress was absolute perfection!
Sukran, I am incredibly grateful for your amazing attention to detail, and the fact that she went out of her way to make sure the dress was finished ahead of schedule. Sukran and her team are experts! Thank you so much!

There is no place we’ll ever go other than Sukrans. There are so many reasons why but I’ll list a few of the major ones:
- Another seamstress in the area really messed up my dress. I’m the mother of the bride and picked a dress I loved. The other person messed up the top and the fitting. She refused to help me fix it. So I brought it to Sukran. She did the impossible and corrected the fact that the other seamstress had pulled way too much fabric out of the dress. All the while, I was devastated because this was the most important day for our family. Not only did Sukran help talk me off the ledge she was so supportive and helpful patient with me. In the end she absolutely nailed it. She has such amazing, professional, really technical skills. There’s no one else that would have pulled off what she was able to pull off - all while being an amazing person, really sweet and comforting and all under incredible time pressure.
- My husband’s tuxedo looked incredible. She even made a last minute adjustment when he changed his mind on his shoes.
- 20 years ago she also helped make my wedding dress, and I still look at those photos and am amazed how incredible she did.
There is NO OTHER PLACE we’ll ever go for anything related to dress gowns, tuxedos, tailoring, anything.
She is worth coming in from hours away. Her skills are unmatched and she is the Nicest Person.
We LOVE Sukran!

Sukran was recommended to me by my bridal store, A Little Something White in Darien. She made my dress fit like a glove! She had to take out the boning of my corset and re-construct it to make it fit, and make a bustle for my long train. No need to say she did everything fabulously. And as so many people here are saying, she is a kind person that makes you feel at ease in her dressing room. I loved working with her! (Pictures will follow after my wedding!)
