This yoga studio is simply the best! Once you walk through the doors all of my stress melts away. The instructors are all great. From beginner to advanced, the studio accommodates all evens of practice. I will keep coming back!

My boyfriend and I are new to yoga. We've been experiencing back pain, muscle aches/stiffness from our jobs so I looked online for some Yoga joints. Saraswati's Yoga Joint was one of the popular options that popped up and I'm so happy we decided to give it a try. After our first session, our bodies felt amazing, muscles were loose, whatever muscle knot I was feeling before between my shoulder blades was practically gone. Felt like elastic woman haha. It did start to build back up closer to the end of the week which was fine because we've decided to come every Saturday as our little therapeutic hobby. The place was so welcoming, it's like a little nice community. The instructor BK gives very straightforward directions so its not too confusing to follow along as a beginner and her voice is very soothing. Classes are welcoming of every background, there's a good mix of males and females, young and older adults. They also provide hooks to hang your stuff, a mini fridge to store your drinks if you ask and blocks, yoga straps etc. Just have to bring your yoga matt . And the two bathrooms is convenient as well. Location wise is a plus. A parking lot is right across, its near eateries, the marina, and the aquarium! Definitely a gem nuzzled into historic South Norwalk.

Wonderful experience from the time I parked to the time I left . Very helpful and calm receptionist and friendly teachers who are very vested in your journey. Parking in the nearby garage is free thanks to a sticker available at the desk. The studio is airy with heated floors. It is clean and well stocked. A great place to get back to being in a yoga community.

My first time here. We were celebrating our friend's birthday. Vicky Cook is super sweet and kind enough to play our special requests. Totally loved the vibe. Jenny our instructor was simply amazing. What an amazing experience. Definitely recommend this place! It is all things YOGA!

I have been going to SYJ for more than ten years and I can't imagine life without at least 3 classes a week. Donna has only the best of the best instructors, so there is no such thing as a "meh" class. And the latest class of graduates from her teacher training are no exception. Just took Spencer Jacoby's class and it was amazing - tough, but doable and fun! This is the best, friendliest studio I've ever known. Highly recommend.

I started attending classes about 5 years ago, looking for a way to regain mobility/flexibility after I broke my leg. I'm the least coordinated person on the planet. The instructors are all wonderful, working with you at your own level, and offering lots of options and alternatives. I've never had a bad class. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I am as far from "fancy" as you can get, and I always feel comfortable and welcome. The studio is clean and has been diligent about cleanliness and class size during covid. I regularly attend 4x a week, and I wish I could get there more often!

I have been doing yoga for 20 years now and have tried most of the studios in the area, and I believe SYJ is far and away the best. Every teacher is thoughtful, they create fun and creative sequences, and the cueing is precise, easy to follow. You can be new to yoga or experienced; all are welcome, as the teachers have an amazing ability to bring everyone along. You'll leave feeling a mix of relaxation and energy. Donna and her Kula of awesome teachers are top notch!!

I have been going to Saraswatis since they were in their prior location it seems a lifetime ago. Donna the owner, somehow seems to alway have a great team whether it is the instructors or the staff; always warm and friendly. And speaking of warm; who doesn't love the heated floor? We love each instructor for different reasons as they each bring a different perspective. I am just waiting for the one hour "child's pose" class to start;

LOVE this studio. The instructors are the best part. They are super knowledgeable and friendly. You feel like a part of the community as soon as you walk in. This morning, I attended a class that was led by a newly graduated teacher trainee, named Spencer, and it was as if he had been teaching for years. They must do a really good job training their teachers. If I could give 10 stars to SYJ, I would! Can't wait to take more classes.

My experience is based on about 70 visits over the last 6 months and this studio has been incredibly professional for every bit of that time. Everyone has always been kind and welcoming and the teachers are all very talented. The varied personalities and styles each one brings to the table makes me look forward to every class. The instruction is clear and articulate. They are so knowledgeable with the suggestions to improve your pose and it's always offered in a way that feels encouraging. They also make it personalized while never being intrusive. The classes feel thoughtfully prepared, and they do a good job of addressing various levels- the option to challenge yourself feels just as comfortable and available as the option to stay wherever you feel you need to be. They often times open and close with something insightful and it makes for a unique and rewarding experience in a wider sense. Classes have never felt repetitive and they just always seem to know how to keep it engaging. The sustained relief it's provided for my chronic issues, particularly a lower back injury, has been positively overwhelming for me after many years of the opposite and this isn't my first experience trying yoga for it. I also feel like it has helped me get back on a better path to overall wellness. The benefits and quality of the classes so greatly outweigh any prior worries I had about covering the cost of a monthly membership that I've erased it from my credit card statement. They also validate parking in the garage which is a very short walk away and finding a spot has never been an issue. I also love the heated floors! I don't think to write reviews often, but credit should be given where credit is due and I'm not sure what more you could ask for, so a big thank you to SYJ.

This place has an attitude, especially BK, who comes off as rude, and self involved. When she is "being nice" it's phony. I went back 15 times looking to see if the vibe/quality of teaching would improve but finally gave up and do not intend to return. Most of the instructors seem to be more interested in their own practice than that of their students, demoing the entire time and never looking out at their class. If you are looking for a cold, fake, plastic "Fairfield County" atmosphere and a decent workout, then by all means go here. If you want a true, deep yogic experience and instructors who are warm and interested in their students, go down the road to Yoga203.

Just had my first class today and it was fantastic! Vicky was a great teacher, I've been doing martial arts for almost 20 years and have been looking for something to counter the strain it puts on my joints and muscles, and even after one "beginner" class, I feel so good! One of the best ways I've seen to practice mindfulness and inner peace while getting a workout that makes you feel whole after!
