BAIT & SWITCH - BEWARE OF INTRODUCTORY OFFERS! - Secure Self Storage is a beautiful facility, well-lit, heated, elevators, hand trucks, even vans you can use. That was the reason we chose to take advantage of the "introductory" offer to rent a 10x10 unit for $179, $10 less than the similar unit we'd been renting for years elsewhere. We moved all our stuff in, and then, to our horror, they RAISED THE RATE BY 60% IN ONE YEAR. We called to complain and they said that we were still under market rate and they had added expenses and were raising us. I countered that I was aware that things have gotten more expensive, our taxes have gone up, our electric bills have gone up, but NOT BY 60%. They were having none of it. So now we're trapped because it would cost us hundreds of dollars to move our stuff out. We're investigating with our councilmen as to whether there might be some regulatory laws because this is outrageous. Also, there is a senior discount of 5% which they neglected to tell us until I brought it up. So when you accept an introductory offer BEWARE. Somewhere in the pages of fine print there is something about we can raise the rates, but who would have dreamed that they would fleece us to this degree?

Basic services and no perks here! They do not accept or dispose of pallets and trash of any size and not for any price. If you are a salesperson or a business, this is not the place for you. This facility is relatively clean and the people are nice. It used to be better several years ago.

It's been 3 and 1/2 years since I been going to Norwalk self storage. Very clean place reasonable price. But I have to tell you that your employee Janet Dalrymple is a remarkable assistant manager. She definitely need a upgrade in job title. Very warm person and easy to talk to. I give her 10 stars...

She has been incredibly helpful in all regards. She has been professional and attentive to all our needs and has displayed a high level of customer care. Too many arbitrary rental increases!! I’ve rented a unit here for 3 years for items from a family member’s Estate. This is separate from my husband’s unit because of the estate. My husband went to drop off payment for my unit yesterday and gave the staff member my check and invoice. She mistakenly looked up his account from the check (ignoring my unit invoice) and told us that my check amount was too low. I spoke to her and realized she was trying to charge me for my husband’s storage space, which is a higher price. No big deal, we figured it out. The issue is that less than 24 hours later, I received an email that my storage rates have gone up yet again. No way this was a coincidence, and I feel like I was targeted because of their mistake. I don’t carry their insurance but they raised the rate as though I do. Bad business practices. I am an attorney and a real estate agent and I will not recommend the space to any of my clients or friends.

Ridiculously clean and bright facility. Love the easy all hours access, carts, easy on, easy off highway access. Pricing is competitive. Manager is smart and professional.

The entire facility is clean, well run, and has great prices. I have also users their moving van which has been a very price friendly option and they have been terrific to work with when I have leased it for a day, on four separate occasions!

I'll give 0 stars to this place if 0 was an option. This storage facility it's dirty, the staff member smoke in the office and it's disgusting walking to the office as is in close with no air circulating on top of all I moved out 2 months ago and they still charge my credit card for the monthly like if I'm still there?? the guy Lorenzo doesn't sound knowledgeable at all in how to resolve the easiest situations at the facility. In all the years I had rented storage unit this has been the worst experience !!
