I needed a transmission and these guys came through for me in a big way. The price was unbelievably good and my car is running as well as I could have hoped. The guys working there are all pleasant and helpful.

I give them a 5 star but there Spanish speak zero English which makes things hard! Your met in the front by an older loud guy who goes by JimBo! Once you figure out where your going the process goes very fast! Southeast scrap in wingdale is 3.05 a pound of number 2 copper right now but lajoies according to my ticket is 2.88 which in small scrap is a huge amount of money! The rest of the prices are a penny lower or 2 Penny's higher than the rest of the yards but the copper price was a major letdown! But as far as scrap yards go this place is decent!

the trucker couldnt pull out my truck to load it on the flat bed. he suggested to use the winch on my other truck. he said it could do it. now my winch is broken and they are refusing to fix it saying they didnt put a gun to my head and make me do.

I have been going to LaJoies for auto parts since I started driving and have been going there with scrap for about 25 years. They are by far the best and fairest price especially when your scrap isn't clean they still give a relatively good price - much better then the places up in Bridgeport.
