Horrible service, waited over an hour to get to the representative to pickup the car and another 45 minutes to actually get the car I need it for one day. Save your time and don’t rent a car here, you will just get frustrated. Never again

I had a car reserved for a 9 AM pickup and had to take an Uber from the train station to this location. I was half way there when I received a call around 8:45 AM that they had zero cars available. Okay... Krishna told me he would call later in the afternoon once the car was available. This wasn't a big deal with my schedule and at least they tried to call and give me a heads up so I let it go even though I was a bit annoyed.
Around 10:45 AM I still hadn't received a call so I called the office repeatedly. I got put on hold a few times, once for up to 15 minutes. I finally got Krishna on the phone and I was told the car was there and ready for pickup (I could hear some other customer complaining about incorrect charges to his credit card in the background). I left on my lunch break, less than an hour after that conversation, and upon arrival was told that he had to give the car to someone else who had a reservation... he then proceeded to take another call instead of assisting me.
It was clear that Krishna had no support and it likely wasn't his fault that there were no cars there when he showed up for his shift in the morning but he wasn't handling the situation well and was getting defensive and making excuses rather than trying to make it right. I had spent 40+ dollars on Ubers and wasted an hour of my day going back and forth two times, once after confirming that the car would be there over the phone. Bad service and clearly a poorly run location.
I ended up just going to the Enterprise nearby on westport ave even though it was more expensive rather than continuing to deal with Hertz at this location since I hadn't paid anything yet. I had a fantastic experience at that Enterprise and suggest you go there as well even if it's a little more expensive.

I booked a car in Uber, came to the place at the specified time, but there is no car for me, wasted time and money, the staff is rude, do not need to rent a car here.

Only one person serving long line of customers. Prepaid for reservation two weeks out, cart not on lot when I arrived. Had to wait 2 hours for it to be delivered from Fairfield. Had a similar experience in Fairfield weeks earlier.

Horrible Customer service. Booked an SUV 3 days in advance for 8am. When I arrived that morning there were no suvs and they tried to give me an electric car. I told them it did not suit my needs. And then they told me they had no idea when an SUV would be arriving. I was on a timeline and in a rush and this overbooking by Hertz entirely screwed up my plans. I said you dont have the car I booked I need my reservation canceled and I will take my business elsewhere. I was instructed by employee that I would need to call hertz customer service to cancel reservation. So not only did they not have a car for me they gave me a job to do on my now hectic morning. 2 days later they tried to charge me a no show fee.
The employee was no help whatsoever. As he gave me no solutions and didnt even offer so much as an apology.
Go to avis or enterprise. Hertz in norwalk is NOT worth it. Completely unprofessional office

We booked out rental a month ago and kept calling to confirm ok we show up today and was told no more cars because it was over booked and they try call us but then she said they had no number. I said that's unprofessional nobody called us and we need our rental today. Ok she found one them came back saidncredit didn't go through we won't ever use hertz. We found another company had no issues. Horrible experience we was leaving today for our trip.

As nice as they are (sometimes), it’s upsetting how inept the staff is here. They lost the key to my rental after I dropped it in the drop box and won’t stop charging me a daily fee even though it’s clear I left them it. They also seem unable to manage their cars well or customers who come and go. This is my third time using them with bad experiences, and my last.
I would choose anywhere else if I were you. The risk of a screw up here is very high and then they’re not going to do you any favors after they mess up. Not to mention, no one has ever seen or heard from whoever the manager of this location is…

Nancy was such a huge help when buying a used car on a budget. She was the first to greet us on the lot, and she was very friendly. She made certain that I had the information I needed to make a purchase and was never pushy. She shows concern for her customers' best interests. Hertz was way more affordable than competing used car companies and I didn't experience any price gouging. I just took my car into the mechanic today, and everything looks perfect!

While I was there The phone went off nd instead of telling them to “Hold on I’m w a customer”, she helped them while I was sitting in front of her. Fast fwd to today, I had to drop my car off Bc I was given one that needed service….a man comes in And The same lady proceeded to help him when all I needed was my car to be exchanged, keep in mind I was there before him (20 minutes)…Priorities nd Organization is definitely not present at this Hertz Location. Not even gonna mention the Communication or lack there of…do Better

Shantake is amazing! Our specific model wasn’t available, but she gave us a comparable car. Super efficient, funny, and very friendly.Before we were seen, she was helping another customer resolve their issue because he booked the wrong day. She was able to resolve that too!Shantake is the best!! Would 100% recommend this location.
