The Staff are always very friendly - I know the Gym is not the Biggest But is enough for Anyone to get in amazing shape. Yes there will be broken machines, yes there will be teenagers hanging out, yes there will be Karen's who think because they see plates and dumbbells in the floor assume is the Staff fault. Is not It was me. My bad. Been a member on and off for many years. And to the people who complain about Petty things Go work out outside then

READ BEFORE JOINING:
Used to love Crunch Fitness but it is not the same as it was 3 years ago.
Pros: Has good amount of equipment and was super cheap when I first signed up (10ish dollars a month). Workers are nice.
Cons:
Machine do not get fixed for weeks/months at a time. - Cable machine cable has no resistance. Leg extension machine is probably still broken. Rowing machine has various loose screws. Crunch will say they are waiting for the parts, but in the time it takes to fix the machines, you should have already swapped gyms.
As of a couple of months ago, Crunch refuses to freeze accounts for any reason, meaning students have to pay in full while not attending the gym for months (this used to not be the case).
In order to cancel your account, not even their manager will do it, they have outsourced to India, so you have to call a random number and give your card info over the phone.
This gym is no longer ideal for students.

I have been here for a whole year and I cannot continue, I was having a good time until I came to cancel my membership, they make it so easy for you to sign up but annoyingly hard to cancel, you have to pay fees in order to cancel your membership, terrible.

I honestly love this place, been a member of crunch Norwalk for over 4years now. But lately encountered the most mean and rude staff. Not just once but twice he has come to me in the middle of my workout and takes away the dumbell or any equipment that I am using saying that he is using it for personal training. This is just so wrong. I am not paying so much money that your staff can just come up randomly in the name of personal training. Would be better, if they come asking politely how much longer would I take or just be nice and not rude. Is it that difficult for a human to be nice?
Such a shitty experience.

Terrible service! The girls at the reception are friendly but the coaches are not! The machines lack maintenance, it is very small, it is always busy, the men are not respectful, they always look at women all the time, I do not recommend it ZERO! I'm trying to get out of that gym

Good Gym. Do not ever sign a personal trainer contract here. They will charge 2 months after the section are done.

Absolutely worst. Very difficult way to cancel your membership. They charge an additional month upon cancellation. You have to go thru the customer service number which you can’t find from the website and the website portal to cancel doesn’t respond at all. Never signing back up again.

I think it's a great gym. It's big and has a broad range of equipment. That's the most important thing! Many of the other negative reviews relate to billing; I haven't had any problems (but I haven't attempted to change or cancel anything).
There is always someone at the front desk, and they are friendly enough.
Manager has always been helpful and listened to my comments or questions.

Chris is a manager at Norwalk who lied and said he wasn’t in for more than two months! I am still trying to cancel my account! I’ve never stepped toes in there and they are charging me $109 the worst. The from desk lady told me she was giving me a refund to ope never happened, then gives you a number in Georgia to say call Norwalk to cancel/ refund! For three months!!! I will never work out here, they are working your money out of your pocket! Manager Chris the WORST Manager!!! Yes I’m still paying….
Update The Manager called The Norwalk Police!!!!!!!! Norwalk police said don’t visit or call or enter!! I just want a refund and your brother in law will not intimidate the people of Stamford for not wanting to Join a gym!!

Most times I walk in, there are no staff at the front or if there are, they do not acknowledge others who come in. Depending on the day there's 1 or 2 people who actually do their job and are helpful. The spray bottles are empty most days and weights are left on at different stations making it annoying to have to unload plates. Seems like that would be the job of the people employed there (to make sure stations are reset, spray bottles filled, paper towels available) instead of hanging around talking to each other in the trainers den.

I went in person on October to cancel my membership. Was told it will be canceled and I left. Months later, my dad was still being charged from crunch. Called and was told it was canceled. Next month my dad was charged again. Called again and they said cancelation doesn't work like that and I have to call a number... And I had to pay for next month to cancel it... And after that... Too much to explain at this point. I wanted to come back once I'm ready, but i can't. I can't believe I recommend people to go here. Other than this it's good, if you don't plan on canceling.

They will not let you cancel your membership. I have been trying to get then to cancel my membership since pre covid and they are still trying to charge me. I have requested cancellation several times with no resolution.

I'm giving this review. Because when I when to downgrade my membership due to My economic income being hard. My account got canceled and a new one was opened. No sure why. I noticed that I was going to get charged for the yearly charges again even tho I was already charged this year for it. After spoking to 3 persons on the phone on different days, I was assured that I won't be charged for the yearly fee again. On March 30 of 2024 I noticed a charged on my statement of almost $100 from crunch. This a great gym is a reason I been a member for several years now. Looking forward to get this charged situation sorted.

We like coming here and have been coming here for some time. However, there have been a few occasions where there is no worker that shows up when we get there at 5am. We understand it's early but this has happened a few times now where there is a group of us 'gym-goers' waiting outside to get in.Also, the machines have been out of order for a long time and on occasion there are no paper towels.
