The banker I dealt with, Jahaira, is either completely incompetent at her job or it’s a policy at Citi to make things as inconvenient as possible for their customers. My accounts were hacked and I went in to get some help but instead sat there for over an hour listening to her say “sorry, no” to almost all of my question. I asked Jahaira to help set up alerts for my account and was told me I had to do it myself, I asked how and she said she wasn’t sure. When I asked about my changing my statement cycle to the first of the month, she said it was imposible. I asked about correcting the spelling of my name, she told me I had to provide proof of a legal name change to which I presented my driver’s license and she said it wasn’t enough. HOW am I supposed to provide a notice of a legal name change when they made a typo in my name. Frustrated, I went home. Jahaira later called me back and notified me that she would be charging me to order new checks as if it was my fault my account was compromised. I ask if anything could be done as I had been a customer for at least 15 years and was told my relationship does not provide me with free benefits. I came in looking for help to protect the security of my account and the only thing Jahaira helped me understand was I desperately needed to move my money to an institution who values my business.

Second trip to cash checks from a Citi account holder. 1st time, signature was in wrong place, fine. Today, numeric amount was messy but the script amount was clear. They refused to cash both checks. This is but one reason I would never bank with Citi! I had zero problems cashing checks last summer.

Raquel is the first citi bank teller in my 7 years of banking with citi bank who treated me with dignity, kindness and professionalism for the entire transaction process. I am in awe by her customer service and wish I lived closer to this branch, so that I could have access to this kind of customer service! Thank you Raquel!

ive always had my reservations about Citibank. Their constant fees, the constant overdrafts, but this situation tops the cake. Decided to go to this location to cash a check. Never have i ever had an issue cashing a check with Citibank but today I guess wasn't looking bright for me. The teller asked for the check, studied it for less than a minute and said okay, do you have an account? I said yes and she stated that she needed me to put my debit card in. I did so only for her to tell me....yeah sorry I cant cash this. it's a non Citibank check. she told me I had to go to the bank that wrote the check. A good 30 MILES away from my home. I said fine and walked out, stirring no commotion. I then called Citibank customer service where the gentleman told me that this particular location has NO policy in place that says I couldnt cash a non citi check. He actually stated that their policy says that the limit for non- citi checks would be $5000. That's nice bc my check is half that. so no issue right ? so he wondered why the teller stated that she wouldn't do it. He told me to then go back to the location after he put a note on my account and ask to speak to a manager. This is where it gets juicyI went back and turns out they closed at 4. so lovely. I then had to deposit the check using the atm, which in the first place I never wanted to do and now i have to wait for my money to clear and then go back tomorrow for a 3rd time....to withdraw the money. I will be speaking to a manager and am seriously considering closing my account. Enough is enough. stop banking with people who don't care about losing your business, or even care to do their jobs correctly. Why should i have to return a 3rd time when you coulda just did your job right the FIRST time.

you'll get better service from mcdonald's. it will take effort to have worse service and sometimes it feels like they are actually trying to offer worse service. this is not reflective of the tellers... but mgnt and the bankers.

First time at this location and I can't thank enough for the amazing customer service from the branch manager, Jerishamir Torres. He assisted me for almost two hours with patience and an understanding heart. I truly appreciate his excellent service and his help. Thank you.

I opened an account for the first time with Ted. He was really knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. He even checked in with me a few days later to make sure everything was okay.** Don't open a credit card here though, my stepfather has tried multiple timea and each time they just take the $200 deposit and hang up when he asks about it.

If you require a notary, please see Theodore Russell. I came into the branch to have closing docs processed. Ted was very thorough, knowledgeable and even re-printed the docs when he noticed pages were missing. Thank you Ted for making me feel at ease and confident that there will be no issues with my documents! You are the best!

Back in July, my husband deposited money into the ATM and it ate his money. It's now October and after hours speaking on the phone with incompetent Citibank employees and never hearing back from the branch manager, we're now having to file a suit. They've legitimately stolen our money - STAY AWAY.
