Traveling for Thanksgiving, emergency treatment necessary. Dr. Batter, who treats my brother, generously accepted my immediate issue with warmth and professionalism. The staff was respectful and caring. I wish I could stay just to keep the group as my caregivers. Thank you once again.

Dr. Batter is caring and proactive on diagnosis. I rate him highly as a doctor. He has treated me for many years. The check in desk is not friendly. The nursing staff is very good and responsive to phone calls or office questions.

I will not be going back to Dr. Batter. Ever. I found him dismissive, and showed no interest in why I was there. As soon as he entered the room he told me I did not have an infection, and I told him I did. That exchange went back and forth three times before he left the room to look at the hospital report where it was confirmed I was treated for an infection. His office never called me with the results of the lab work he did and a report was never made on the Nuvance Health portal for my office visit. It was as if I was never there, and yet he had the audacity to charge my insurance $543.00 for the office visit and another $16.00 for the lab work. A total rip off... Unbelievable.

I've been a patient of Dr. Batter several times and had surgeries to remove kidney stones. He is the best of the best. I highly recommend him.

My consultation appointment was cancelled three separate times by the office with little or no notice to me. The reception was extremely rude when I asked why my appointment continued to shift.

Thank You Dr. Stephen Batter for being the great doctor you are. Very caring when I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and have been there all the way through the 3 years I have been coming. The staff has been GREAT, fun to work with and very accommodating in scheduling. I am moving out of state and will still arrange to come back for my 6 month testing just to continue using Dr. Batter

My father and I have been patients of Dr. Batter for many years. We found him to be very personable in the office and when he treated us in the hospital. There was always an underlying tone however that made us feel like he just wanted to book more office visits and money vs driving for the best care outcome. For example, he stopped in to see my Dad in the hospital. We raised a question with Dr. Batter then and there and he told us to book an appointment. We did. At the appointment he then told my Dad in less than 10 seconds that there was nothing he could do for him on the issue raised. Honestly, he could and should have done so at the hospital instead of trying to milk an office visit out of an elderly patient. This “money first theme” was reinforced when I went for a 2nd opinion at NYU urology and learned so much more about my condition, the treatment options and most importantly the various risks. Dr. Batter was overly simplistic and rushing me to surgery with his partner Dr. Bernie. I’m glad I took the time go to a top shop (eg NYU) and get the best counsel, treatment and ultimately outcome. Many doctors have low performing office staff in terms of answering calls, returning messages, being courteous, etc. After spending over 15 visits at Dr. Batter’s, I can say from experience that his office staff is just as bad...Bottom line - if you have basic non-urgent urological issues, then Dr. Batter will do. For anything more, I would recommend finding someone better.
