We really liked Dr. Alvarez and her holistic approach to veterinary care, but it turns out money is more important to them than my dog’s care. I called to ask if my dog should get a vaccine over the phone and they told me to email Dr. Alvarez. I did. Well she answered with a simple yes and charged me $60! This charge was never mentioned to me over the phone. Also, never has a vet ever charged me or anyone I know to ask a very simple question. I feel like this really limits communication between vet and client. We ended up changing vets as I felt I couldn’t go to her for help without incurring unknown costs.

Dr. Alvarez is the most thorough, kind and compassionate Vet. We have been under her care for over 10 years and cannot say enough about her wonderful care of our pets.

they gave me an appointment with Dr. Poster; and it was the worst experience I've ever had she didn't listen to a word I said, didn't write anything down and then turned around and sent me a text asking me all the questions that I already answered; and my cat is still very sick and they don't seem to care when I called him the next day the owner/doctor wouldn't look or help me until I had to wait until the other doctor came back on Thursday. Then I had to argue with the other doctor about treating her with traditional medicines instead of the holistic, which didn't seem to be working. She needs to retire.

We have been using AWVC for 12 years, and we wouldn't trust our dogs with anyone else. We love Dr. A's obvious passion for her profession and for our furkids, and she has seen us through some rough periods with illnesses and injuries, and love that she thinks outside the box. All of which is why we travel MANY miles to continue using AWVC. And it isn't just Dr. A -- the ENTIRE staff is phenomenal. Wish we could give more than 5 stars!

The best pet care experience you can ask for! I have taken my corgi here for over a year and we are consistently met with professionalism, insight, advice, and overall friendliness. I love how excited my pup gets when we walk in the door and really appreciate the thorough details given by Dr. A and Dr. Seo. More recently I had to take my dog in for blood in her stool and they were able to get us in immediately, and had test results back within 24 hours. I was very impressed with how quick the turn round time was! The Dr. followed up with me directly and then again a week later to ensure my dog made a complete recovery. Overall, it turned a scary situation into a very smooth experience. I was pleased with how quickly it was handled and, as a dog mom, they made me feel a lot better!

I took my 6 month old puppy and I really liked the way they treated him for his first vet's appointment. They checked him in front of me and was cero traumatic for my pet. I do appreciate the staff and doctors take the time to ask and listen to pet's parents. Prices a very friendly too! Cozy place!

Everything you would hope for in a Veterinarian. Dr. Alvarez is smart, experienced, professional and genuinely warm and caring. Her staff was also kind and cheerful.

After we moved we tried a few different vets, but they didn't feel like they cared, just wanted to charge you for everything they could. Dr. Alvarez is AMAZING! You can tell she cares the about the animals. She is knowledgeable and explains things without talking down to you.

The doctor made her feel so at ease, she fell asleep on the table. I went to another Animal Hospital who didn't mention any of the points Dr. Alvarez did. They call and check in on Penelope and are extremely accommodating.

We have been going to Animal Wellness from the moment we got our dog. Wonderful vet; great team. Dr. Alvarez and her staff are kind, friendly, courteous, compassionate and you can tell they truly love animals. Dr. Alvarez combines traditional western medicine with alternative/naturopathic methods to provide best care for each patient (and that was one of the main reasons I picked her clinic to begin with). Every single time we are there, as soon as we come in, we are taken right into our own exam room and seen promptly. The entire clinic is clean and inviting.

My dog was SO stressed at her old vet we had to try somewhere new. Our experience here could not have been better. We were seen immediately (vs a minimal half hour wait) Our dog happily bounded in with her frisbee in tow to with loving and enthusiastic assistants. Dr. Alvarez is thorough and proactive and nit alarmist in any way. Extrememly glad we made this switch!

We have two cats and a dog and have been going to Dr. Alvarez for four years, since we moved to the area. She is the perfect balance between western and eastern medicine and always has the pet's best interest in mind. Her staff is caring and patient and I'll be a client here until the day when/if we move away.
