“Northford Veterinary went above and beyond for our cat, Cory. The entire staff consistently provided the best care and compassion possible for him, including in his final days. This is hands down the best veterinary clinic we have dealt with, we'll never go anywhere else.”

“We arrived at our 1st appointment ~ 5 minutes before our 10AM appointment. We were greeted at the door by name (me & both dogs). We had a seat in the waiting area & were ushered into an exam room at 10AM sharp. After ~ 5 minutes getting the dogs weighed and answering a few questions with the Vet Tech, Dr Jacqueline Pino joined us. She examined both Toy Poodles asked a few questions about their treatment history, asked what we needed until their next visit in ~ 6 months, and issued orders for their Heartworm meds, etc. We were out the door at 10:25AM with three Rx's. That was easily the most organized, professional & efficient Veterinary visit I've experienced in 10 years. If you're unhappy with your current Veterinary provider, you should give the Guilford Veterinary Hospital a try...I doubt you'll be disappointed!”

“Been with this clinic since Dr Cohen and we love Dr Mags and the office set up. He takes time with the animals which matters greatly to me. They’ve done a lot of work on the clinic and monitor the ‘traffic flow’ which is appreciated. We trust Dr Mags with my service dog’s health issues and my dog trusts him…and Alby. ;) Always awesome to have Alby around during visits. I think Alby has helped make the vet a positive place for my dog! :) I look forward to bringing future service dogs in training here to get some reassurance and training from Alby and a good positive vet experience with Dr Mags.”

“I’ve always had terrific experiences with Dr James and the rest of his team. I’ve had dogs with a variety of medical issues and the consultations are spot-on and thoughtful. I have no reservations recommending this practice to anyone.”

“I changed from my last vet in Madison, which I was not happy with, to this practice when I got a new dog. This practice is wonderful! I have seen several of their vets, and vet techs, and they are all very gentle and empathetic in their handling of my timid dog, and spend whatever time needed to thoroughly discuss any concerns, or issues and options.”

“I took my fur baby to this place not trusting to many of the vets out there . The young lady at the front desk with tattoos, I believe her name was Megan. She did such a great job answering my questions and calming not only me down but also my dog! He's not around other people much so he's anxious. Something about her reassured him I guess because he went right with her. She went above and beyond to make me feel better and comfortable. I knew I made the right choice 2 minutes into our interaction. Just wanted to say ty to her for going above and beyond her job description!”

“I see some reviews where people complained about waiting for their visit. In 2022 Dr. Mendillo spent a lot of time with our less than 6 year old Boxer Mel when it was time to euthanize him. His mast cell tumor was ginormous and infected and my husband and I were having a difficult time saying good bye. Dr. Mendillo and Courtney were absolutely wonderful with our boy. I will never complain about waiting now that I know how they spend their time. We have two 11 month old Boxers and they are under Dr. Mendillo's care.”

“There were a couple times when they had forgotten something and I had to visit twice in the same day.

Once was when they had forgotten to give my dog one of her vaccines and asked me to come back in the same day and the second time they had forgotten to give me her prescription food. I had to leave work to come back both times before they closed.

Thankfully they understood the inconvenience and quickly handled the situation by waiving some fees.

Kind vets and understanding receptionists!”

“Highly recommend Guilford AMC! We recently moved to Hawaii and due to Hawaii's strict rabies guidelines, it was an intense process getting our 2 fur babies over. Our cat Max was fairly easy to get over but our puppy Nathan had some struggles with his titer tests. He was not passing the required blood test to be allowed into Hawaii. Dr. Janicki and his amazing staff helped us every step of the way. We believe they went above and beyond their duties to help us. They were in contact with the lab trying to help us do everything we could to get Nathan to pass his test. We were in constant contact with everyone at Guilford AMC about the best steps we could take and what our options were. We felt that everyone worked extra hard to help us and without GAMC, this struggle would have been so much harder to deal with. We finally got Nathan to pass and he and his brother max have settled nicely. EVERYONE at GAMC is so friendly and passionate about the care your pets receive! We never felt rushed or pressured into anything. Everything from options of treatments to pricing was clearly explained and never felt pressured into doing anything we weren't comfortable doing. Everyone takes the time to explain everything clearly, they respond quickly to questions and treat all fur babies as if they were their own. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GAMC and I give 5 stars to everyone here! We are sad to be so far away from GAMC but are glad we were able to experience the wonderful care they showed our fur babies!! Thank you to everyone at GAMC!!!!”

“I had trouble going back here after having to put down my late dog back in 2020 but to this day I miss the expert professionalism and empathy I was shown every time I walked through those doors by Dr. Park and his incredible staff. Best vet in Central Connecticut, hands down.”

“The entire staff was absolute wonderful the 8 yrs I was with them. When my GS got cancer they went above and beyond what I’d ever experience at any other bet. Every person I recommended to them, were as happy as I was with the quality of care they give.”

“I have taken my dog Darla to Cheshire VCA since she was a puppy and I’m always grateful for the whole team there. All the vets and staff have always been nothing but friendly and accommodating. Over the years, my dog has had a few different things happen (I.e. she ate a bee and had an allergic reaction) and they always somehow squeeze her in to see her to help avoid the need to go to an emergency vet. They truly take such great care of their patients and their owners. Their prices are very fair and I’ve never had any hidden charges or felt like I was paying for anything unnecessarily. They give you options for care and help to explain things so well. My dog is very dog reactive and they’ve always happily helped bring her in, keep her calm and honestly she loves going in lol I think she knows “these are the people that help me always feel better!” lol the facility is also all updated/remodeled and always clean and welcoming.
Thanks Cheshire VCA!”

“I’m new to the area so finding a veterinarian for my cat was difficult. Yalesville Did great with my cat which is a big deal because my cat only knows me so she’s Not friendly at all. Yalesville had me give my cat gabapentin the night before and again 2 hours before her appointment to calm her down. This REALLY helped, my cat was way more relaxed and let the veterinarian do everything they needed to do during her checkup including her immunizations.”

“The people over at Pet Shield have always been great for me. Super helpful, accessible, understanding, responsive, transparent. If I didn't live in town I would still bring my cat here.”

“Dr. Dolcort is wonderful. Does not push for anything other than what is necessary. Is always so nice to my dogs and my littlest dog that I had to bring in yesterday is always a nervous wreck, and was surprisingly calm! This makes me feel so relieved that I have someone and somewhere I can trust bringing my dogs to. Also, when I went to pay, it was completely fair, not overcharged one bit! Highly recommend.”

“My pups have been patients at this practice for over 12 years. I do agree with some comments regarding pricing, however, they have always worked well with me to get appointments and in an emergency have been truly responsive. Dr Kumar has put down 3 of my pups when they no longer had a good quality of life and the experience was nothing but wonderful. Calm, caring, spent time with us and then let us sit with Kayla, Pookie and Yodi as long as we wished. I find the level of expertise on the surgical side is also incredible. A new vet was recently hired who I find to be very Simpatico. For those who don't know Spanish, it does not mean sympathetic. It is a term that has no direct translation into English but basically a nice, warm and caring attitude. My Amstaph is on an NSAID that can cause liver issues do I have to do frequent bloodwork which is great because her levels increased and we had to reduce the dosage so as not to cause severe liver damage. I find the front desk staff lovely. The office manager has been at the practice for two decades and has always been very kind and professional in my dealings.”

“All the Doctors here are compassionate and thorough. I've been coming here for almost 10 years now. Huge shout out to techs Mickey and Legend for being kind and efficient with my fiesty senior pup today. Legend is the only person who can get in hugs and kisses while soothing my anxious baby!”

“We've been going to Ridgehill Animal Hospital since 1997, so we feel we truly know this place well, and we're happy with the care given. We especially love Stacy at the front desk, she's kind beyond kind, and we love Dr. Moruzzi, she is a treasure, she's unbelievably knowledgeable, skilled, patient and kind. We adore her, she's taken care of our pets for almost ten years now. We just got a new puppy and she has given us excellent care as always. She made her spay surgery with hernia repair an easy experience and recovery for our puppy. She also took care of our love, our Coco, who was the best girl, she was a rescue, she was up in age, and Dr. DiLeone cured her Mast cell tumor, and later Dr. Moruzzi kept her well for years with Cushing disease, she also repaired Coco's knee with a TPLO surgery that was a complete success!! Sadly, yesterday at 15+, we had to say goodbye to our Coco, she developed a heart murmur that caused a stroke, it was time, a decision that broke us to make, we had to rely on a vet we didn't know, over the holiday week, but we have to give a huge thank you to Dr. Everett!!! She is incredible, she told us what we needed to know to make the right decision, she stayed with us through the whole process, she gave us time to grieve, to say goodbye as a family, and she did it with great knowledge, compassion and love. We will always be grateful for her, she was like an angel of mercy who walked into the room and held our hands through it all, making sure that our baby was given a graceful and painless experience as she went to the other side. She was held by her whole family, and had love and respect around her the entire time. We should all be so lucky to have a final send off like that!! Thank you to these angels for keeping our girl healthy and happy through the years, and thank you for helping her in the end too, the team at Ridgehill were part of protecting a beautiful life and we are grateful.”

“Great service called because my dog had a problem with her eye. Doc Nick fit her in took his time and got to the root cause. I walked out with medication and a cure for a very reasonable price. He is a carrying person not there to rip you off. THANKS. DOC”

“Our 2 1/2 yr/old Golden needed his nails cut, and though his "coat" was a little long, we were concerned about how cold the weather has been. We took him to the Petco in Wallingford, CT, where he received great care. It was our 1st such visit, and the staff and service was outstanding! They did his nails, did a great job with his undercoat, and gave him a lighter than normal trim, and he looked outstanding. We will certainly keep them in mind for Nicky's next haircut, especially with these circumstances.”
